I’m about to be 24 and I have lived on my own since I was 17 I really have not had a huge chance of making myself to be something good, I’ve steered far clear from drugs and all that bad stuff but I have been completely lost at what I want to do in life. I have been graduated from high school for almost 6 years now and it’s very depressing I have yet to go back to college for something I want to do. And I love animals they have always been my best friends through thick and thin and I would love to help animals every day of my life. Same feeling. I just started college at the age of 21, but I’m feeling so down because everyone is so young. They are like 17 or 18. I have a tremendous passion for animals. Since I was little, I remember myself helping animals. However, this whole college situation is so frustrating for me. Also, I came to US almost 3 years ago, so I had to learn English before applying to college ( community college). I feel so devastated because it took me 2 years to complete every English level. Now, I feel like I can’t do it, like I’m not enough for this career.
I’m 21 and seriously thinking about going down this path. Let me know if you did apply and how you did it cuz I’m at a loss rn???!!

Thank you so much for your video, it’s incredibly helpful. I’m a high school student (starting my senior year) I’m passionate about becoming a veterinarian. I’ve been volunteering at the humane society working with cats for the past year. Are you accepting volunteers at your practice? Do you have any tips for the costs of becoming a vet? The high costs are probably the next biggest challenge to becoming a vet just after the work & study skills challenges.

This video is amazing. I know i did a lot of courses on animals not to be a vet but i wanted to either save people or animals. I wanted to change and save the world since i was 5 years old so the vet i knew when i was 13 years old said come and work with me and i could not do it. I was not strong enough with the operations but i went on to natural medicines with people and also animals. I now work and have done for 20 years in mental health. Now the virus is around i do all free world around the world so i can help people. I want to be able to help people. I am glad there is beautiful passionate people around like you. When this virus is over i am coming over to bring my service dog over to see what i can with him. He works with clients. You are awesome. Thank you.

@@DrLera Thank you so much as it means a lot. I do all free work as a counsellor and i do 18 hours a day and 7 days a week before Christmas and special events. I think we all need to support and help each other as some people have no one and must be so hard on those people. Sorry i am going on. Take care and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thank you so much! I need your help. My daughter is in the 8 th grade. Absolutely brilliant. She makes straight A’ s high A’s. Ever sense she was in elementary school she is obsessed with being a veterinarian. I know how difficult and hard it is but we have told her no matter what we would support her in anything she wants. For years she has these huge note books and she draws the animals and every body part and it’s function. She is way above her years. She learns all the bones. It’s crazy. Here we are her passion is animals. We could be walking down the street and she sees any dog and she takes 50 pictures. She knows every breed there temperament. She going to her first year of High school. She’s already asking how she can take college classes toget her bachelors degree. I know it’s critical to take all science classes, math classes volunteer. She wants to start working now at a vet toget her experience. All of her Teachers said I had a very gifted child. Please tell me what she needs to do. Very very very active. Marshal Arts 4 years stoped at her red belt it was out fault she did get black belt. We were dealing with my son who was getting black belt and Eagle Scout. She made the volley ball high school team.lifts weights works out. Cooks, clean, laundry, bake. I was a stay at home mom and Thank God I was blessed todo that. We were talking about Ross university tonight. Looking at VT. We live in Virginia. Thank you for your help. Is it 4 year undergraduate. Then 4 for vet. Mind you she in 8 th grade and asking everyday. We sign up for her classes tomorrow at Highscool. She has had this drive sense 4 years old.
I have always felt like I have had a special connection with animals and they are attached to my emotions. Ever since my cat Gremlin died I cried for days and it was hard because he was with me my whole life and I was 8 or 9 at the time then a couple months later we got another cat named Bella she is alive and healthy but soon after Gremlins brother Leo passed away, he could not eat, drink, or go to the bathroom by himself. He couldn’t walk so we put him down knowing that the next morning he would have died anyways. I was so sad I could not breathe. So we ended his suffering. I was heartbroken I didn’t know what to do because he was with me my entire life also. Everyone felt bad for me. About a year ago we got another cat Gizmo. A little while after my dad coughs a weasel and I saw him shoot it. And I was really sad.
I have a question!!so is it not necessary to takean undergrad in biology field to apply to a vet school? because I've heard that you have to approve that courses, so how long did take you your career since high school?
Hey did you know now-a-days theyre starting to look DOWN on people who take their pre-recs at a community college because its not "rigorous enough,"..... so frustrating. I'm not going to a CC because its easy, Im goint because its CHEAP! But I don't make the decisions.

Not sure that there is a GPA requirement. But I think you're only allowed to get one or two C's. It's been a while since I graduated. You take your testing for license in your last year of vet school. Then you take your state licensure exam after you've passed your national exam
I’m 18 and I’m working in my local vet clinic. It’s a small animal clinic and I need it to complete my 300 hours to get my CVA and I only have 6 hours left! I applied to a community college for two years and I plan to transfer to A&M. Do you think I am choosing the right things? Any advice or tips? I would really really appreciate it!!!!!

Hey I’m about to go to college in south Florida (fiu) but I’m unsure of what I should major in before going to vet school, what do you think I should major in if I’m going for the career of an exotic vet?
You're going to need all the same prerequisites for whatever kind of veterinarian you're going to be because those are pretty much weed out classes. It's going to be the same courses that somebody who's going to pharmacy would take and medical school. Except for the last 5 to 10 courses
I’m in 9th grade hs right now, I have a deep passion for animals and would do anything for any animal. My grades aren’t so great, and I don’t know what to study for, I’m currently taking a health class but it’s only about doctors, I don’t have any science or biology class? How can I improve

Dr. L i want to make dog and cat sanctuaries with robots collecting their poop, on demand water bowls, etc. I also want to use robots to farm fruits, veggies, and fungi that the dogs and cats can eat and source Amish raised animals for the meat in the animals diets. Of course there will be great human presence around the sanctuary, i just want to be able to host as many well adjusted dogs and cats i can, kinda like a retirement home for them. I want to take things a sophisticated level with A I. Keeping track of each dog and cat

Well most schools are going to charge you and out of state tuition which I'm not sure how that will compare to Cornell's tuition.

Im 24 and im a pretty good egg. Only drink every now and then and drug free. Unfortunately i dropped out of school cos i was emancipated and lived alone and worked 2 jobs while attending achool. After i dropped out i worked my ass off 3 dif jobs to make ends meet and wish i had a role model in my life to explain the true importance of education so that i could have understood how to actually obtain a career. As a burnt out 24 year old this is my dream im going to attempt to make a reality. Hopefully i can figure it out on my own LMAO

Sounds like you are on your way. I would recommend some sort of surgery. Dentistry, general surgery, ophthalmology.

You are going to have to take math courses to get into that school I had to take calculus physics and chemistry which required doing calculations. You might be able to get by. I would give it a shot

It takes hard work and time, but you can do it!
