Wow......this lady is awesome! So informative and easy to understand. Helped me tremendously with the kennel cough my new dog gave my other dog. I was really scared!! But she gave me confidence that I can care for my two dogs. I wish I had seen this before I spent big bucks on the antibiotics, cough syrup, shots, etc that the Vet ordered for my new dog. Dr. Becker, where is your office?? Sure would like to have you as my "boys" Vet!! You are wonderful

i adopted from animal shelter a 4 month old puppy. He had all 1st vaccines. At home is my 7yo healthy male . Both came down w/ kennel cough. Older dog got a fever 104.8 and was placed on clavamox . No meds were given to puppy. 1wk later no coughing however reverse sneezing in both, and the fever is gone. This video was helpful especially about the length of the illness. Thank You
Thanks for such detailed info and advice. My 12 year old dog is eating well and enjoying walks but the choking was scaring me. She recently came out of kennels and now I know it is kennel cough I am reassured.

My little dog has kennel cough for like 4 or 5 weeks already. A xray was done and steroids were givin a week ago. Yesterday more steroids were givin again n I was told if it don't help would need to put my dog to sleep. So I wanted your opinion. I don't agree with the answer to put my dog to sleep.
Kennel cough is hacking. This is something else bc my chihauhua does this alot, the airways close up.
I just adopted a dog from the humane society and I think she has it. I don't want my other dog to get it. please help
My dog was never the same after this vaccine. We can't board our dogs because we REFUSE to "update" them for this (and kennels here want boosters every 6 months). It makes me so angry! Thank you for being an honest vet. I've lost all respect for most people in conventional medical professions. Damn pHARMa to hell too.
