Knowing how adventurous you are, you definitely should have gone to Aerodium in Sigulda to fly in the wind tunnel. That company is one of the best in the world for this experience. They also hold the show in Olympic Games in Turin and helped filming some scenes with Tom Cruise in the latest Mission Impossible movie. Just some fun facts for y’all ;)
when you said bobsled i started singing "jamaica we have a bobsled team" and then you included the clips lol. COOL RUUUNNINNGGSS!!!! also latvia looks pretty cool!
I did this when I lived in Riga. Both Summer and winter..Nate is right.....winter is soooooooooo much better....I loved Latvia so much I married and Latvian and I get to visit at least once a year....such a great country!
this is the third time I am watching this video, and it took me three times to see that it says JUGOSLAVIJA on that wall where the bob sled building is...coooooolllll..greetings from Montenegro, former republic of JUGOSLAVIJA
I am so happy, you guys hit 50k Subscribers, you guys rock, but you deserve 1 Million, i am sure it will happen one day. Thanks once again for taking us along with you and congratulations :)
Kara and Nate I recently started watching your videos by recommendation of my sis in law. It has definitely helped keep my mind off of some of the covid stuff. I really enjoy how funny and bright you are, you get beautiful shots and images, but yet you are genuine in showing some of the tiring and tough parts of travel. Ps the main reason I finally commented is I absolutely love the movie cool runnings and love that you chose to incorporate a few clips for this vlog. Happy trails. -Manon
I’m glad you got to experience a little bit of Latvia. My grandparents (on both sides) are from there. Your Latvia videos have increased my need to return and visit some more. It’s been about 26 years... hope you guys can get back to Latvia, and spend a little more time there as well. You guys missed so much!
People should avoid saying "not bad" or "pretty good". Either it's good or it's bad, there is no in-between. It's either a repeat purchase or not. After good there's great, incredible or the best.
Jūrmala. The J is not silent in our language. English ''yo'' and latvian ''jo'' (not an actual word) sounds the same. Just found out about your channel and I love your videos! I hope that you two really liked Riga!
The old bobsleds, when they first started the tourist thing in the early 90's, were made of PVC pipe and sheets of foam, there was no helmet, no rollover protection, and you loaded the bobsled in the back of the military deuce and a half to haul it back to the top for the next load. The Olympians alternated with the tourists as the tourist money was paying in part for their training. The bob you used was pretty safe in comparison!
During one of my visits in Latvia I stayed at a home an hour outside of Riga. During a day visit in Riga my pants completely split the same way while I was doing photography. Right near the RIMI grocery store in the Galleria there is a seamstress shop where you can hang out in a changing room for a few minutes while they stitch your pants back together.
What a fantastic ride too bad about the pants but I remember way back in Thailand when Kara would want to shop and you would say no I wish she had said the same to you ha ha. With all these places around these cities that you are hitting now perhaps you should allow an extra day to see more. Once again great work stay safe
Thanks for visiting Latvia! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Just a note about pronunciation: the Latvian J sounds like Y in English, and our U isn't pronounced as "you" but has an "oo" sound only.
Might I suggest that the reason they keep ripping in the same place is because your storing all that stuff in the pocket above 😉 might want to come up with a different wallet carrying option Nate 😎
I’ve been watching your videos for more than a year now and finally watched about my home country. Don’t know why I haven’t tried bobsleigh yet 🤷♂️ P.S. love your videos 👍
Hey hey hey!!! I’m shocked!!! I’m watching you guys for sooo long now and i see only now that you guys have been in Latvia! Latvia is my home! I’m soooooo excited know 😅🤩 addicted to this account even more now 😁
Most important question of the vlog, “Do you want our Twix now or later?” 😂 idk why that stood out to me. Currently binge watching all the travel vlogs in order.
OMG as soon as the camera turns behind nate you just can't stop laughing🤣🤣🤣. Tha way he explains it before showing it makes it more hilarious 🤭🤭😂😂. You guys are awsome❤
Did it on the winter bob with the instructors....with no warning to keep your back straight and tense up! :) Absolutety amazing experience but so tough...would definately go into training before trying it again!
Great video with a truly unique experience. I really like how you guys include real life travel experiences in your videos like the ripped pants. It’s happened to me and it made me laugh!
I came across your video just now..a bit late 😅! But it's very interesting! As far as I can remember, Latvians are a force to be reckoned with in bobsled...so that's why they built a "summer course" (should I say this?). By the way, love your content! Greetings from 🇮🇹. Ciaooo!
Wow, really? This is something you can do?? Bobsledding has always been something I've secretly wanted to do, but never thought it was possible outside of Olympians. The closest I thought I'd ever get was Alpine coasters.
so much beauty, so much life, so much content......oh, alas, I can not stand anymore....less I faint and tumble to the dry earth from which my forefather sprang. (Damn, I had to edit because I misspelled 'forefather').
People visiting Latvia and having a good time makes me very happy and warm inside! ☺
That's my car at Rimi's parking lot! :D

Ahh your so lucky! All of my grandparents are from Latvia but moved to the US at some point in their lives. I’ve always wanted to go...
I did this when I lived in Riga. Both Summer and winter..Nate is right.....winter is soooooooooo much better....I loved Latvia so much I married and Latvian and I get to visit at least once a year....such a great country!
The Cool Runnings references are the best!! That's one of my favorite movies.

I just love the fact that there are Cool Runnings clips in this vid, loved that movie growing up.
Supermarket sushi is always a gamble but that looked pretty decent!

Had to laugh at how long Nate took to reveal the pants split haha
Love you guys!
Love the editing in this vlog!

Thanks for the info! We definitely loved it there!

Greetings from Riga, you should come for a week to Latvia and see some towns like Kuldiga or Liepaja ;)
how does your channel still only have 50k subs! Thats insane! You should have soooo many!
Looked like a super fun ride!
I saw my house in the drone shots!!❤️🔥✨
I laugh so much every time I re-watch this vlog, Kara's laughing at Nate is so contagious
Kara is so brave. Amazing.

Wow, really? This is something you can do?? Bobsledding has always been something I've secretly wanted to do, but never thought it was possible outside of Olympians. The closest I thought I'd ever get was Alpine coasters.
Are you all caught up on your video editing? Wondering if these videos are from recent trips, or if there is still a 4 week lag.
The fact that at one point you were less then 2km away from my house is just mind blowing 😂
I was there this summer. I didn't expect this to be that fast.
No no no...! Nate's lucky pants!!
The look on Kara face when the truck came by 😶
by the way, Park City in Utah also has a summer/winter bobsled course.
It's pronaounced Reeme
What were the G forces like?
Cool running’s !!!!
I love your videos. You might want to try Dickie. I run my pants hard also and they are the only pants that seam to last.
J is pronounced like a leading Y in Northern Europe. So, Jurmala will be Yurmala for English speakers I suppose.
Love your vlogs.
Wanna do this again? Come up to Lake Placid, Ny 😁
Hope Kara has a sewing kit. 🧵 😆 lol
Hi, guys! Need your help🙏 How did you make reservation? I have wrote to their office, but nobody answer(
Great tips! Rimi is/was Norwegian.
so much beauty, so much life, so much content......oh, alas, I can not stand anymore....less I faint and tumble to the dry earth from which my forefather sprang. (Damn, I had to edit because I misspelled 'forefather').
Omg hi im from Latvia and i didnt know you went here
You guys are so cool👍
Just bigger size pants would alleviate the tearing problem.
shopping time Nate!
