Irish people are the nicest, funniest people ever! Ireland is a great travel destination for its beautiful towns and scenery but the friendly people make it extra rewarding! I can’t wait to go back and explore more of the country.
Irish people are very friendly when my husband and I went we joked that you had to give yourself extra time in each shop as shop keepers would spend half hour talking to you and finding out all about you😂
I have been binge watching your videos after finding your channel the other day. So glad to see you’ve been to my homeland and everyone was so welcoming! Ireland is such a fantastic country, North and South. You guys have to come back and explore more, there’s so much to see and do. Belfast is worth spending a day or two in, it has started gaining popularity with tourists in the past few years, its the capital of the North and where I call home, you wouldn’t regret it
I know this comment is a year late, but omg this video makes me miss Ireland! Genuinely some of the friendliest, most welcoming people I've ever met were in Ireland. And their accents are my favorite in the English-speaking world.
Watching this while Covid19 is getting really bad, started from the beginning and I’m now on episode 401! Can’t travel but these videos help pass the time and I love watching you guy, you’re amazing, feel like we’re best friends but have never met!
You guys are awesome. I have a vlog request. With all your travel experience I think it would be great if you did a vlog on travel safety and some experiences of situations that made you uncomfortable and how you handled them. Could you?
8 years back I landed in Ireland to do my Ph.D. I felt the immigration officer to the policeman in the airport was so happy to see me there as if they knew me from somewhere. I lived in the country for next 4 years to complete my degree. I miss it. Now I live in NJ, USA
Hi Kara & Nate, don't if you look at these comments. You should get a Chase Sapphire card, Preferred or Reserve. Both include primary insurance, which is considered full insurance. You never have to report anything to your insurance company, like you would with the Citi Thank You Prestige or Premier. They also cover Ireland.
I've been to a lot of states and countries with allegedly "the nicest people" (Midwest, Canada, Switzerland, etc) and indeed they were plenty nice, but Ireland was without contest the place where I met legitimately THE friendliest people I've ever encountered anywhere on the planet. Notably I recall a long cab ride back to DUB for my outbound flight when my absolute legend of a cab driver spent 40 min chatting with me about The Kinks. Completely on brand that your Airbnb lady was so sweet and adorable.
08:08 time change! EU continent UK/Ireland - 1 hour. Your 1:45 hours flight left Brussels at 4:25 and was scheduled to arrive in Dublin at 5:10; great vids please continue!
I too have chosen a longer way to get between 2 places... Instead of ~$450 to fly HEL to TXL with Lufthansa (direct flight), I chose $178 to fly SAS from HEL to OSL with 5.5 hour layover (with lounge access) before OSL to TXL... Long day but worth the saving...
"Left side, left side." Haha! My husband and I drove around the English countryside a couple of summers ago, and I said that out loud every time I had to make a turn!
9:03 I LOVE those pit stops when on road trips; buying snacks and experiencing the local flavors for the first time, shopping for trivial items, it's just so relaxing and fun. That store looks huge though!
When I went from France to Ireland.. my day of travel actually started in Amsterdam then a train to Calais and then a ferry from Calais to Dover and then bus to London then another bus to Birmingham and then another bus that drove onto the ferry and crossed to Dublin and then a bus to Cork.
Did anybody else realize how plane is spelt in the description? Plain. That made me laugh for a while. That's what happens when you post youtube videos at 4 AM. That would normally annoy me, but when they do it, it's just adorable. Love these guys.
Rewatching so many of the older videos during the pandemic. 1. It gave me flashbacks to "talking" to a computerized assistant when I was attempting to get insurance through my credit card before my trip. 2. Right before y'all walked into Aldi I had a "But where are your masks!?" moment. 🤣
Oh my gosh I can’t believe there’s finally a country you all are in that I went to before you! 😂 Ireland is stunning, the people are the best, and I’m so excited to see this series! When I went it only took me 3 plane rides and 24 hours to get there 🙃
Wow, even countries with right side of the road Roundabouts are easy they are very popular all through Europe, I only wish we had more roundabouts in the US.
It seems like they were first introduced in the UK actually! I learnt that in this video, which you may find interesting (it tries to explain why the US have almost no roundabouts): th-cam.com/video/AqcyRxZJCXc/w-d-xo.html
Dublin is so lovely and the people are really really friendly. I visited it two months ago. Make sure you check out the Guinness World exhibition, the whiskey tour, trinity college and the book of Kells etc. Have a great time, keep safe and happy travels. 😊💖✈️🌍
Love your vlogs - per usual. I'm a big Game Of Thrones show geek... so you all being in ireland for the next 5days is perfect! Would love to see the beech trees of Northern Ireland - can't wait for the upcoming vlogs ☺️☺️
Yay! Been waiting for so long to see Irish vlogs! Hope you really enjoyed your stay and hopefully that warm welcome continued throughout your trip here :)
So happy you guys have come to Ireland! I lived in Galway for four years, it's amazing. I highly recommend you guys visit the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren, which is where I'm from. Lord of the Rings is based on the Burren!
I had to laugh, I'm English and used to driving on the left but we went to Ireland and had a hire car and it was a manual, I've driven an automatic for years. I jerked us out of the airport, lol, we were staying in a cottage that was in the middle of nowhere down a narrow country lane got lost 3 times and ended up having to knock on a persons door to ask the way, by this time it was dark and a lot of the lanes didn't have lighting, I was surprised the people whose door we knocked on answered us but they did and drew us a map, everyone was lovely and helpful, eventually found our cottage and had a wonderful holiday there 😁
Just FYI you can book a train from Paris Gare du Nord to Brussels Zuid for around €29. It's quicker and more comfortable. The only issue is the budget trains (IZY) aren't very regular but the more expensive trains (Thalys) run much more frequently
Welcome to Ireland. Céad milé failté (One-hundred-thousand welcomes)!! Really good choice to go straight to Galway. You probably have all this covered but Cliffs of Moher in County Clare is a must see and while in the area you must visit Ennis where an Irish traditional music and dance festival called The Fleadh (pronounced 'Flaa') fill the pubs and streets, has been on all week and finishes on the 21st. Apart from that west Co. Galway has The Gaeltacht area where the Irish language is spoken primarily, you might enjoy that too. Hope the weather stays dry for you both. Enjoy!! Oh yea and try and attend a GAA game. It's an Irish sport of Hurling or Gaelic Football. Loads of games happen throughout the week but mainly at weekends. Games played by young kids all the up to senior level. Uniquely Irish. :]
It made me think of something that had never crossed my mind before. When driving in a vehicle with the driver on the right, are the accelerator, brake, and clutch also a mirror image of what we drive in the U.S.? Even more than driving on the left, THAT would screw me up! I would go to hit the clutch and drive right through a storefront!
@@robertmorris2056 the pedals are in same order as cars that drive on the right. I've rented manual cars in Europe and no issue apart from gear stick but it doesn't take long

It's been a while lads! Can't believe i'm watching this 3 weeks after ye have been here in Galway. There are so many new routes with different airlines out of Dublin now to the States, it's hard to keep up....prices have come down bigtime.......next thing you know, there'll be a Delta route to Memphis TN! Congrats on yer 56th Country......i'm actually in a quandary with my own count, met different travellers abroad the last while, and we all have a different take on the subject...for example, I count being to Northern Ireland, England, Scotland & Wales (The UK)...as having being to one Country, some other folks don't...they count that as having been to 4 Countries. Another guy was counting Vatican City as a Country....because kinda technically it is, with a seat at the UN. Then you have other people counting San Marino, Monaco, Gibraltar, Taiwan etc.....at my conservative count, i'm at 39........if I hadn't been Stateside 53 times (girlfriends, friends, functions etc), that count would be a lot bigger now, but i'll pass that 120 mark by my 50th birthday hopefully......Question is: Will we ever really stop? :)

3:40 3:19 was Ryanair using a jetbridge??? Crazy
joseph Warford IK I usually never fly Ryanair but when I do they usually use the stairs
I’ve used a jetbridge in Malaga and I think in Amman
Also use them in Palma/LEPA in the winter seasons when there on the cheap!
It's all jetbridges in Paris
Love the positive attitude!! And soooo happy that you've gotten a warm reception in Ireland. We miss you!

Good point, haha!
Technically the M1 (Belfast / Dublin) is an Interstate.

Sirenna Palici, who knows? Maybe the flight actually did start in Brussels, stopping in Dublin on the way to Barbados.
