"Here are the symptoms of a bad oxygen sensor: 1) check engine light. The check engine light is a symptom of a bad oxygen sensor" gee, really? That was a terrific and very detailed explanation
Thanks for the feedback. We will aim to make the videos more explanatory and informative, this point was just to highlight that the check engine light can often be a symptom of a bad oxygen sensor, albeit can signal a lot of other issues with the car.
Omg, im so thankful for this video. My check light came on and the car didnt have strong power, the pull off was so slow. Fixing it right now. I shall fire my mechanic.
Thanks God. I got this problem for long time, but now I know what is about ! Very low gas milege, also problem with catalitic convertor because of this aer-fuel sensor. Thanks a lot ! God bless !
If you have an OBD2 scanner you can check "live data" and fuel trims. Don't just throw parts at it as it could be a lean or rich issue "vacuum leak, maf sensor, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, leaky or malfunctioning fuel injector(s) ect ect ect".
Stuck in Salina KS because my bank 2 rear O2 sensor has gone out. Horrible gas mileage. Praying to God when auto shops open Monday I can get it replaced.
The rear oxygen sensors do not affect gas mileage, they monitor the catalytic converter to let the ECU know the catalytic converter is working properly
Just alittle note, the upstream sensor(s) are called Air Fuel Ratio sensors not Oxygen sensors and the downstream are called Oxygen sensor. Don't get these confused with each other as they look the same but do completely different things.
is the NOx absorber B2 an oxygen sensor i have done a monitor test and had this fail... but i can't find out what it is... is B2 bank 2 i have a Ford Focus 2009 1.6 TDCI any information would be highly appreciated
Hi i was cleaning the oxygen sensor by spray when car was start but by mistake the spray red pipe gos to the vacuum hose pipe now how to take out that pipe and what will happened the dose it effects the engine or gasket or what plz tell me thanks and best regards ❤
Exactly why carburetors are king no electronics to cost you money and they get better mileage and lower emissions. And You can easily fix them at home. CARBURETORS NO ELECTRONICS. we win.
Yes I'm regretting buying this headache Mitsubishi money drainer, learnt a lot in the past 2 months on how this engine is controlled. Failed UK MOT exhaust emission Lambda test, checked for exhaust leaks but nothing found ugh.
Yes, Sir, I miss my Toyota Tazz that had a carburetor with these injectors using electric gives me a hell of a headache as I have to buy parts every now and then to get my car running properly 😢
I have a toyota camry 2018 se 2.5l I have misfire cyl 2. Code and also random misfire I believe p3000 I have new fuel pump and filter. New Injectors.. new spark plugs. swapped coils to check if it changes to different cylinder code. Checked leakage for valves. Good. Intake sensor good. MAF sensor is good. Haven't checked compression. But when I disconnect cylinder 2 while misfiring it doesn't change meaning seems that exactly still the area where the problem resides. All others (1,3,4) when disconnected cause it to misfire even more.. I do also get engine power reduced sign on dash. May my 02 sensor for any faulty reason possibly be causing my ECU to think it's running rich or lean and be causing the random misfire and the specific cylinder 2 misfire?? Without popping up a 02 sensor code on OBD 2 scanner???
if you know which one is causing an issue then technically no you dont NEED to replace all 4 but it's highly recommended to do all 4 at the same time just to avoid waiting until they go bad
I have a ticking in my engine, it's 2014 Town and Country Van. I think it the lifter. I scanned the engine and it said cadlic converter need to be replace, and then it said sensor 1 PO 420, bank 1, and sensor bank 2 PO 430 needed to be replaced. When I start it up, I get the lights on the dash to light up like a christmas tree. Speacily when it's cold out and rainy, Not sure what that could be. But it's starting to drive me into det, lol Do you have any idea's???
Never had any engine warning light show up on mine. Unscrewed the sensor to check for fouling, looked ok so reinstalled, hey presto, engine functioned ok with better response/acceleration and a smoother idle. I think the sensor had an "unclean earth" via it's rusted thread, presumably the unscrewing action had cleaned the thread thus giving a good earth.
I have a p420 and replaced the whole exhaust and cat and paid 160 for the cat and the check engine came back about a month crazy, I replaced the upstream but not the down, im not replacing anything else because p420 means nothing and it mite be a ecm error, I have a 2004 Honda Accord ex sedan v4 2.4l
Do an induction service! I bought a 2015 Nissan Altima with 254,000 miles on it from a dealership. The very next day while driving, my check engine light came on and it was the code for a catalytic converter. I recognized that code as I had that code on a previous car that was also a 2015 Nissan Altima but with over 300,000 miles on it. I bought a catalytic converter (Magnaflow brand) and an upstream and downstream sensor for that car. Code went away but came back 3 weeks later. Smh. This Nissan I did an induction service and the code went away 3 months ago and never came back on again. What's an induction service? Cleaning out your intake manifold with a special cleaner (bg brand air intake cleaner) and cleaner tool that pushes the cleaner into your intake while your car is on and your rpm' s are over 2,000. Clean out your throttle body as well with throttle body cleaner. Open your throttle and clean inside and around it. Finally, put bg 44k fuel injector cleaner in an empty gas tank and fill the gas tank all the way up. Use good gas like Chevron, BP, Shell. That 44k injection cleaner will clean carbon off your fuel injector and also clean about 40-45% of carbon on top of your pistons. Check to see if your spark plugs are good as well. If they're worn replace them every 150,000 miles. That cleaner will also clean your upstream oxygen sensor while it's running. Ya don't need to change your 02 sensors or catalytic converter. Just induction service. Thank me later 😢
Saying the oxygen sensor is bad indicates that some things are not working well. Such as spark plugs, injectors, air filters, dirty trotle body or air leaks. If the oxygen sensor problem still occurs after doing these, then the oxygen sensor should also be replaced.
Scaremongering, if it runs OK leave it. This that and this 100's pessimism. Who cares you do not have control of everything what happens deal with it then, otherwise relax and drive!! This sensor that sensor who has time to deal with all that . Been driving with check light and warning triangle for 8 months, has been powerful, giving good mileage and just rattling a little, I can live with that.
I’ve got electrical problems.. car starts but dashboard lights stay on….. wipers don’t work and windows don’t work could anyone help with this problem 👍
Change every 60,000-90,000 mi? 2-4 sensors on the vehicle @ appx $100 ea? and those things are a B!tch to change. That's expensive guessing. They're PURPOSELY making it Super Expensive just to have car.
I never change this oxygen sensors since 2005. On Toyota Tacoma. I’m learning more about this sensor. Thanks 🙏
Might because the Toyota O2 sensors are typically Denso brand

I know right!
Thanks for the feedback. We will aim to make the videos more explanatory and informative, this point was just to highlight that the check engine light can often be a symptom of a bad oxygen sensor, albeit can signal a lot of other issues with the car.
😊😊😊😊😊😊
Almost got entrapped into believing this one learned alot smell the Flowers 😂LAX. Thanks for your input heresay X.
😂
O2 sensor light is most always a bad connection. Un plug and clean with contact cleaner. Clear code and you’re good to go.
Omg, im so thankful for this video. My check light came on and the car didnt have strong power, the pull off was so slow. Fixing it right now. I shall fire my mechanic.
Happy to help you!

02 sensors are not the reason, they are sensors that read the emission
from Saudi arabia, nice video, and thanks for not add music,
जानकारी से भरपूर धन्यवाद

Thank you i wish i would have read this commnent an hour and a half ago 🔥😭
is the NOx absorber B2 an oxygen sensor
i have done a monitor test and had this fail...
but i can't find out what it is... is B2 bank 2
i have a Ford Focus 2009 1.6 TDCI
any information would be highly appreciated
yo're right sir. 2 types and 2 dufferent function. thanks.
Or called the Lambda Sensor!
Don’t be ignorant, this entirely depends on what cars you’re driving.
Award for the most use of the words "Oxygen sensor"
That’s Ai for you
Check engine light is NOT! a symptom, it’s a warning.
With bad 02 sensor, the ECU is not misinterpreting signals. The ECU is correctly interpreting bad signals that come from 02 sensor.
Damn! I never thought of that! Engine Missing!
Yep! She's right. It's not there!
Thank you for the information given.
you're welcome!
Ah been wondering why my engine is missing. Looked everywhere for it too!
you need to go back to the Robot factory 😅
Signs of a bad oxygen sensor: its getting bad . 😂
Does the upstream sensor the one that causes the loss of gas mileage
U Teaches Me Alot In This Video Baby Thnks

It's money draining tecnology . Carburetors were already evolved to precision.

Hi
Your video clip is very helpful for me and other thank for making this video ❤
Extremely useful info highly appreciate it
Glad you think so!
Good information
Thanks👍

How to clean oxygen sensor?
Can't find it in accord 96 model
Nicely explained.
Good
Very helpful
nice explanations, very helpful.
Veryvery correct
Should you replace them all, I think there are 4 on my van, It's a 2014 Town and Country van?
if you know which one is causing an issue then technically no you dont NEED to replace all 4 but it's highly recommended to do all 4 at the same time just to avoid waiting until they go bad

Ive changed my o2 sensors n code returns on the new 02 sensor any reason y.
It may be sensor 1
Defective Sensors Return for New 1 or get a Refund and Try another Brand BOOM 💯

The oxygen sensor can make you work other things that's not the fault if you don't discover it on time
Looks like I got do mine hopefully it is this but it is due for a new one anyway if not
What if all the lights turn on but I still get p0172 on a test by autozone?

Thanks
Welcome
Thanks boss
I don’t get a check engine light , but I still feel like it’s the ox
I changed my o2 sensor and a week after the engine light com back on saying that the sensor need to change I don't understand
Same thing I did and I am confused as well.
They advice when replace 0z sensor you must do software
Unplug battery for 15 min

Hello sir/madam my fuel matter is not working can you tell me..
Ok❤❤
I’ve got electrical problems.. car starts but dashboard lights stay on….. wipers don’t work and windows don’t work could anyone help with this problem 👍
You have a bad ground somewhere. Check and clean all ground points you can find on the vehicle.
Helpful video but very repetitive commentary. Is she a robot?
signs ? , the check engine light comes on
That what is my car now feel like. Run like shit , bad gas mileage. It subaru forester I got now is .

Unfortunately owning a car is becoming more and more expensive. Repairs do beat replacing which is why we try to encourage this.
Thank god for reading ability
