    Good stuff. My Toyota with a 1GR-FE has 4 cats and 4 O2 sensors. Ran rough with poor fuel economy. Swapped out all 4 O2 sensors - both secondaries were outputting OV (I was fortunate enough to have access to a scan tool) - and it now purrs like a tiger cub. Just like it should.

      Was your Toyota running bad before swapping the 02 sensors? I have an 05 Chevy Silverado, just swapped out the transmission and a few other parts. It ran good for a day but today it just wouldn’t give enough power, it would stay at 4k rpm at 60 mph. Had a check engine light and the only code that came up was 02 sensors. I’m wondering if replacing the sensors would fix my problem.

    • @neilwisnewski7013
      @neilwisnewski7013 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@707area Just a general feeling that it wasn't quite itself. Nothing like what you are experiencing. In all these situations, my rule is if it isn't right fix it as there is often multiple causes that combine to make all the symptoms. Hope this helps, it sounds to me like there may be other issues present. Good luck.

    Straight to the point and my vehicle is having all the symptoms. You'd think it would be a clogged fuel filter or failing fuel pump from losing power, hesitation, High RPM rev limits and transmission shifting issues. I do have the CEL on and it is the Bank 1, Sensor 1 Upstream. Going to chang it out today in Hope's it will resolve all the issues it's having. Amazing how one little sensor can reck havoc on your engine...

    Car has lean codes but my oxygen sensor aren't ready yet, could the not ready be the reason?

    You just gave me a whole new perspective here, no codes but idles rough at stop lights like a misfire! This option of replacement is cheaper than a set of 8 fuel injectors! Gonna give the test a try!

      @Jay Yoyo still having the rough idle with no code.. updated both valve covers, plugs, wires, coils, intake manifold, map sensor, cleaned MAF sensor.. so I don’t know. I have 4 o2 sensors which are all reading within specs so I’m at a loss.. I may have to get it to a shop for a more detailed scan.

      @StitchDGlitch 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Jay Yoyo I checked all injectors when I changed the intake manifold, I don’t have any loss of power. This truck does have a fuel control module so I’m thinking it could be that.

      @Jay Yoyo it’s not consuming any oil since I updated the valve covers.

      @@StitchDGlitch did you fix the problem bro?

    • @StitchDGlitch
      @StitchDGlitch ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mexicaG933 my situation is weird, o2 sensors are good. Got a lean code so that’s usually a vacuum leak. I still get random misfires.. I think I just need to buy new coils, I went cheap on those. Still trying to figure it out, but it’s running better with the upgrades I’ve done.

    great , informative video , I wonder if you come across this strange problem engine 651 2.1 L (P02A7=cylinder4 fuel trim at min ) from the code you would think injector problem but sadly that was not the case , I swapped inj4 with inj1 and still the same problem P02A7 , went toward vacuum and checked all vacuum parts (intake manifold /vacuum resonator/turbo actuator/transducers/vacuum hoses) with no sign of vacuum leaks at all , in fact the system holding 15inch vacuum with no problem at a all , in regards to injectors tested with injector leak test all four injectors are leaking the same amount of fuel so I can't fault them , engine idling is fine / drive fine the only thing is if you cleared that code , you will get the full power of the engine I mean the turbo will be working as it should be until you drive in steady speed like 65miles/hour for 10 to 15 minutes as soon as you take your foot off gas pedal the check light will be trigrad and you will start loosing power specially up hill , the only suspect left for me is o2 sensor , I haven't replaced it yet , but when I disconnected no check engine light show up as if its connected , but am thinking that could be the o2 sensor is faulty thats why when the engine on that steady speed and by the time I let off the gas pedal , the ECU request the oxygen from the o2 sensor and most likely the wrong values from the o2 sensor is the suspect what do you think ? your help is appreciated
