    Alan, you got me there - that was hilarious "See what I got: Nothing". I have to admit that I have had a lot of those days.

    Thanks for the report. Hey when you have time for extra video what do you do to take care of your hands? I noticed most fishermen hands are beat to death…

    • @AlanFong

      I use a lot of Vaseline aloe vera hand lotion when I get back from fishing.

      Yea if you learned half what I taught you will be catching more fish. It's fun teaching anglers how to read their fish finders.

    Thanks for the advice. I got another question for ya, how do u catch ur splitails worm and a bobber or sink it to the bottom, I've never done it before not sure how exactly

    • @AlanFong

      After these big rain storms and the river rises high and up on the lawn like at Miller Park the splittails move up on the grass to feed on the worms. But on normal conditions I fish for them around the lay downs in slow current with worms on the bottom.

    Some content I would be interested in is, preparation for fishing. How to stop bringing the whole or multiple tackle boxes with me when I wind up only using a couple of types of lures. How many rods are too many? What’s the best type of boxes for limited space?
    Hopefully you can do your video where it’s warm and dry and we can finally get some sage advice that keeps us rookies looking foolish.

    • @AlanFong

      Sounds good as I do the same thing when I go fishing. I always bring everything just in case as things change up and I don't want to not have what I need.

    Have you ever fish up above the split by Franklin Bridge…. For Striper.
    It’s kinda native so you have to be quiet…. the fish fight hard and do their best to snag you up.
    You gotta be on your game Fong. Long cast and wait 60 seconds before you touch your lure…. If you can.
    The middle of the river has plenty of snags.
    The water cleans up faster and the big ones know….it’s safe in that stretch of river for them to wait it out.
    A friend lived close to the river long time ago. 5 ounce weight whole sardine and wait. Muddy and Fast Flowing was his favorite time.

    • @AlanFong

      Yes I've caught some big stripers up their on glide baits

      @@AlanFong I knew it.
      I would really like to fish with you one day.
      Not just one day Alan.
      I don’t need you to catch fish.
      You do Show Me New Tricks.
      Thank You Very Much Fong.
      The big chatter bait I toss is because of you.
      I have a bunch of them never hooked up.
      I switched it up to a black blade with a 5.8”
      It’s has worked for me.
      And now I don’t yank them out of the weeds.
      I let the reel do the work.

    What general areas did for work for your crappie at Berryessa? Not looking for grid coordinates, just prospective locations where side-imaging and FF sonar can help me get on em. Thanks.

    • @AlanFong

      Markley cove marina, Pleasure cove marina are good areas and Putha Creek

    • @AlanFong

    Hi Alan, thanks for the report.
    I do have a request, if possible, could you please show a close up of the water clarity in the area you are filming from.
    Thanks again for all the info.

    • @AlanFong

      Yes I can as it's getting really stained and if they open any of the weirds on the Sac it will really get muddy.

    Thanks for the report alan . hey what is ur opinion on bait traps for collecting live bait like minnows and bluegill? Ever use em?

    • @AlanFong

      You can use minnow traps as they work ok. If your using bluegill for stripers I catch them with a hook n line.
