Yes they cleaned up the shed and are charging on weekends and holidays. Its kept up pretty clean and sheriff are passing by now. Hasn't been any problems lately.
Hey Alan, thanks again for keeping us informed. I'm headed up to Eagle Lake this week for some trout fishing and was wondering if you heard anything about the opener. I think it was full moon and probably a lot of pressure but I haven't been able to get any reports. The water level is up and smaller boats are even launching at Spaulding so I'm hoping for a good week with a favorable moon cycle and higher water. Have you heard anything?? Thanks again Phil
Friends of mine went opening day and it was the worst he has seen in twenty years. I think he was there for three days catching only three trout. The water was dirty brown color and the trolling was no good. You can call Tim Noxon (916) 201-4648 who lives and guides there and he will let you know how the fishing is.
As long as it aint too windy I love fishin in and out the bay for striper halibut rockfish lingcod ,the bait receiver is open ,You should have a AFO follwers potluck trip! We would have a blast fishin with The RodFather!
Ive asked a couple questions in regards to the sac river in the pocket area . I hit it hard this year and ive noticed a significant decline in action over the past years . Typically ill use fresh sardine
I live in the pocket area for the last 45 years and have fished Garcia Bend for years during high water levels and droughts. I use my electronics to help locate them and during high water conditions they usually past thru early spring. I fished there about six times this year and caught limits except one time. Nothing real big but in the 10-12# range. It's not like it was twenty years ago because of the changes in water conditions. I always use sardines and once in awhile pile worms.
Yes a lot of the stripers have already left. I'm still catching some nice ones here in the delta but they will leave here pretty soon also. After spawning they head to the bay n feed for awhie then head out to the ocean for a couple months then back to the delta feeding all winter long before heading up river in the spring to spawn.
Went up to shaver lake and slayed from the bank . we caught over 20 on power eggs. Color didn't matter. 3' leader with power eggs for anybody looking to go. Trout was the obvious species
Right now stripers are feeding on crawdads as there main diet. I use jackhammer chatterbaits in crawdad colors either orange or red depending on water clarity.
FYI, Icehouse fishing is not good at all. Myself and 3 other boats not a hit. Not seeing hardly any fish on the finder either! I think fish & game forgot to plant this lake.
Thanks Alan👍👍👍👍
Very welcome
Thanks again for another fishing report. Really appreciate your time 🎣
No problem 👍
Thanks for the report Alan.
Any time!
Thanks. Im gonna start striper fishing in the Bay next month.
Better make that next week as lots stripers entering the bay now coming back from spawning up north in Sac river.
Do they have a park monitor at hogback yet and start charging? Hopefully it helps with the safety

Thanks for the update! Looks like you had a good day
Are you fishing the MLF from June 5-7? I'll be there.
No I don't fish tournaments anymore but I have good friends who fish them.
Red chatterbait for striper? Black and blue or green pumpkin?

Man don’t be talking about the lakes up here, even badly. They don’t exist!
You can probably check when the lakes are getting planted on DFW website. I haven't gotten up there to UV yet so I don't know.
