I go to school for fashion design and I definitely think it’s worth it, like you I got to a school with in my means and there were times where I thought it wasn’t worth it but in the end you learn a lot of things about the industry that you can’t learn on your own and it comes with connections that could help your career 💯
I'm in school for fashion merchandising and it's my first semester in college. what is it like exactly...I'm a freshmen in college so we haven't started taking classes towards that yet I kinda didn't know what I wanted to do but I knew I wanted to be involved in the fashion industry.
I’m at FIT now - was in the FBM (Fashion Business Marketing) program for one semester and transferred into Advertising Communications. Lmao, it wasn’t what I expected and I love fashion. Communications seemed more vast of a degree to me, and I can still secure a job in the fashion industry with it if I decided to. I think you’ll do great in the fashion business though bro. Keep up the good work!
Damn. $45,000 a year at Indiana University. I'll never pay off these loans. I still want to go through a fashion program once I move to New York. Parson's is obvious but i'm not sure I would be admitted.
I’m a business major at regular 4 year university in the states but my passion is in fashion and I to work in the industry. Given I’m not at a fashion/ design oriented school that has alumni or faculty connections to the industry, do you think it’s a plausible goal to accomplish, and what route/ direction should I look in to start gaining more fashion oriented experience n make some connections?
Im from england and doing a fashion foundation at CSM. I assume you were calling bachelors and masters degrees $14000? When I look at it its only £9000 for the full degree just like most university's in england which is $12000. I'm confused about where you got this $14000 from?
huguette tchiapi at its highest point it can reach to upwards of that amount based on some friends that I know have gone their for their design education is what I was saying it is definitely not limited to that but the point was that it’s way more expensive then the rest
My family is well off but they said they don’t want me to do fashion but I really want to do it and if I do study fashion and it doesn’t go well I don’t want to prove my family right so idk what to do
B K lol I’ve decided to go to medical school and become a surgeon but I’m teaching myself how to sew and make pieces during my vacations and having a side business with the clothes I make hahah
especially for international student it litterally cost 20000 cad per year but the house is afforadable and there is less limit on working in quebec compared to usa

I think you’ll get the full experience networking and just hustling, plus you have a good platform with TH-cam. It’s a good boost
Overall just take risks

Don't drop out. I went for a year similar to you. I couldn't make it work at FIT, no money. But get that degree.
