I found the bit on fear of abandonment and of perception to be quite introspective and relatable. Definitely nice to hear you express your genuine thoughts and feelings.

Wow. I’ve just left the phase and age you’re in, and finally doing well in “fashion” thank God. Fear of perception and abandonment is a bitch. & I will tell you what I so strongly wish someone told me: you’ll get to a point where your strong desire to design, create and genuinely inspire will kick fear’s ass. After leaving the incubator of traditional education (which kinda allows you to safely “stress out”, learn what you dislike and allows you complain safely) & Realising how much time has passed, you’ll design, work, seek out what you love, post & share & won’t care about a single comment/judgement, which in turn will birth some of your best work. You’ll start to realise what made say McQueen or Marc Jacobs so great during their healthy peak, overcoming the fear of perception and detesting mediocrity. Just wanting to create, empower & inspire. I promise with this strong self-awareness of yourself you’ll get much better at understanding your sweet spot between healthy & social relationships with ppl who love you for who you are (and won’t judge you when you don’t follow through with say a social meetup), and a healthier relationship with yourself. You’ll learn that you’re deserving of receiving love and giving love. You’ll also learn how flawed some of the super social guys and girls can be also, and realise you aren’t that wrong for sometimes protecting & preserving who you are. You’ll accept some things about yourself and realise how cool & even sexy it actually makes you from the outside looking in (as superficial as it sounds you have to hype yourself up before others do, especially when you’ve felt alien to consistent romantic relationships & normal friendships for sooo long inner compliments will sometimes feel better than outside ones which is fine) whilst also improving things about your personality which may hold you back. As crazy as it sounds, all the books, fashion shows, exhibitions and heck the gym that they speak of as “life saving” really are. The gym (example) will build a new discipline and determination you didn’t know you had. And that will pour out into your work and all else. The books, shows and exhibitions will help you structure a well-rounded fashion eye that can’t be tainted by the superficiality of the fashion industry hype…like say a Brenda Hashtag. You’ll find your fashion way & your fashion tribe. And we use the same skin care brands so I know you make great decisions (just keep them out of the sun!)

the self awareness of your own perception of yourself and the character you portray on socials is such an interesting and relatable topic - for 19 you're really well spoken and introspective

I've had a couple people show me your instagram feed/posts, and now actually seeing and listening to your thoughts and mindset, it was relieving to hear that someone else has similar thoughts. I'm keen to see future videos you have coming to TH-cam; being able to see that more personal side as you mention definitely showcases more of a reality in comparison to Instagram for eg.

The fear of perception was the biggest thing keeping me from choosing my local college over a "party school" or a school for the "real college experience" even though my local school was best for me in every aspect especially financially. Even though i would argue I am living my best life in the city doing the things I love, my peers think I am wasting my best years of my life. it shouldnt effect me but it does. it is nice to see others struggle with the same issue. also i relate to I am sociable but not a social person so much.

Again I would definitely say it’s dependant on the trajectory of your career. I’be really only got experience in the construction and creative side. I would say however if your main major is fashion management have something to support that such as extra curricular work or a minor in marketing! Unfortunately as the industry progresses we can’t solely rely on our degrees. They are a part of it but it’s the connections and networking as a whole!
