I always hit LIKE even before I've seen the video. This channel is fantastic. Personally I always thought that the 'thats' brand came from Thats What I Call Music brand.
Yeah, the whole generic name thing is not just a UK problem lol. We have (or had, making a video on that at some point in the future) an over-the-air channel in the US that was known as "This TV" which was a name I always despised for the same reason. Not sure when the deep dive into that is gonna happen because it's going to take me way too long to find footage for it because of that terrible name. Hello from America, love seeing some of these broadcast oddities from other parts of the world considering our own homegrown ones are really just scratching the surface.
That's TV don't have a ruddy clue what they're doing. They can afford the rights to so much but they don't have a clue what to do with it. It's the same stuff every time I tune in. All of the newer stuff gets shoved to after midnight or ditched completely. It doesn't help that their scheduling is so atrocious, never updated on time and it can be changed at any moment. That's TV 2 is probably the worst example. It had some promise with a good launch lineup and different from the main That's TV, but after about a week they dropped a majority of the different programmes. The first series of Home and Away was cut short by 20 episodes abruptly. I was tuning into a drama called Humans on That's TV 2. One week it's shown in order and at a reasonable time, 9pm. The next week, it's moved to 2am and shown out of order, which is probably the WORST way to air an episodic drama. They even dumped Prisoner Cell Block H! Not to mention the framerate on their master of the Black Mirror Christmas Special which they only shown ONCE at 2am. It was atrocious. I have a recording of it somewhere.
I thought that you made Price Busters up! It's actually a real channel?! Much like you, I'm not a big lover of That's TV, I feel like it's just there to sit on an EPG space on Sky at least, their music channels are operated on a budget of £5.00, so it seems, with video footage that someone has bought out of the back of someone's car for 50p. Why does That's TV exist?
