    Love these comparisons even though I have a personal favourite with Google Assistant. It also helps me gauge the evolution of Assistant, which I enjoy tracking, being a fan of Google's unique take on ambient computing. 'Hold for Me' is also available in Canada. Hopefully “Direct My Call” and “Wait Times" comes to Canada too but as useful as answering and declining calls with voice assistant.

    Outstanding video comparison! Thanks.
    One feature with Google Assistant and timers that I discovered is that you can set a timer to go off at a specific time. Assistant will figure out the minutes and seconds for you. One reason I like using timers this way instead of alarms is that I can add a minute (or more) if I want.
    Another feature is you can have Assistant add a title to alarms and timers, which helps remind yourself why you set them in the first place. EXAMPLE: "Hey Google... Set a timer for 17:30 titled check the oven". If the food isn't done yet, I can just add extra time. I find this more useful than alarms and reminders.

    I just changed over from android to iPhone. I’m loving it so far but one thing I’m not liking is how much Siri sucks compared to google assistant. In other comparison videos, they made Siri look very comparable but it’s not the case at all. I actually use google assistant on my iPhone but you can’t summon with “hey google” so I ask Siri to open google assistant and then ask google assistant my question if it’s something I want to google. I only use Siri for device controls

    • @josemanuellastra2488
      @josemanuellastra2488 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think Siri does not suck. I’m a person with visual disabilities and it works perfectly for me, it reads all my notifications, my notes, my messages and the calendar events, and, thanks to its Shortcuts, it can do so much more. . I don’t want to criticize but for me, indeed Google Assistant currently is very short-spoken and unrreliable, it can’t read my notifications neither my complete calendar events, and forget about its conversational actions, Google removed them all. 3 years ago Google Assistant was the best voice assistant out there, but not anymore. Is unbelievable how useless and unreliable has become lately, specially for people with visual disabilities like me

    This ambient computing is the future, imo. I think it's very smart for you to continue doing these comparisons. Also, combining these capabilities with the enhanced capabilities of the earbuds, really makes for a great experience. This is the reason I bought the Pixel 6A with the tensor chip and the amazing speech recognition. Although, I am primarily an iOS user and also have the 13 mini. I will say that Siri has gotten a lot better as well, especially for my needs. Scheduling calendar, events and texting or calling contacts works great for me. For some reason Google Assistant doesn't like the word "schedule" but prefers "add an event called," which doesn't always work. Google Assistant is great at recognizing the reminders command and also puts the reminders on my calendar and moves them to the next day until they are completed. Siri recognizes reminder commands as well, but I don't want to use a separate app for redundant events. Assistant is definitely better, but for the most common use examples, Siri does well. I believe Apple will buy another company to compete with Google Assistant or just let Google Assistant be the default assistant on iOS. They already get about 8 billion a year from Google to be the default search engine.

      How do you like your Pixel 6a? Is it worth buying or 13 mini is better?

    • @hhhmmmmmmmm
      @hhhmmmmmmmm ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kirillt6422 that’s a really tough one. It really depends on what your os preference is. Also, I had an old pixel 4a that I traded in and got the pixel 6A for $150 with free buds so that was an easy decision. If you’re an android user you’re not gonna like notifications end navigation on iOS. Also, the speech recognition on the tensor chip is unbelievable. So much so that you won’t ever want to write an email or a text message again. That’s why I got the 6a. But if you’re heavily invested in Apple ecosystem, I think the 13 mini is amazing, especially if you like smaller iPhones. My battery on the 6a is not great but some have different experiences with it. I am waiting to see if the pixel 7 has a better modem and a better fingerprint sensor, and if they have great trade in values.

      @kirillt6422 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@hhhmmmmmmmm Well, I like Android, but I'm tired of slight freezes and clumsy animations in my phones. Maybe it's because I only had budget Android phones, maybe top Android phones have better performance. I want to give one last chance to some Android flagman like Pixel and if It lasts without some serious freezes and glitches for a couple of years, then I'll happily stay with Android

    • @hhhmmmmmmmm
      @hhhmmmmmmmm ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@kirillt6422 I don’t have any freezes on the 6a. I actually reduce the animation to .5 on developer settings. It feels much faster that way but if you like animations keep it on. iOS animations are smoother, but the pixel phones have great user experience as well. If you’re new to iOS, you may want to test it out before committing. Also, if you are a Costco member or know someone that is they give you 90 days to return something which is awesome to test out an iPhone. This way, you can see what the pixel 7 has to offer as well.

    So I figured out why the Google Assistant was not working on sending messages and photos and location. you can't just say that you have to be specific and contextual with your message. for example, you can't say since a contact you have to say share photo with or share my location with. that's why I tried it and I test it and it is the exact same thing in the video. see you have to be contextual and specific now unless you ask Google to pop up a photo. you selected one and then you said share then it would share the picture because it's part of the conversation and it has context to pull from

    Siri is definitely more useful for people with visual disabilities like me, it reads all the notifications that you have, can announce the calls, can read you the notes that you’ve created, and now you can do more thanks to the shortcuts.
    Unfortunately, Google Assistant leaves so much to be desired on this aspect; First of all, Google removed all its conversational actions, that means that you can no longer play games, listen to some newspaper sources, do quizzes and learn more cultural information conversationally, like I used to do. An wait, I can’t neither play Are you feeling lucky? Trivia.
    Google Assistant can’t read me my notifications neither my complete calendar events, and whenever I ask her any WEB consult it gives me very short-spoken information or prefers to show me the results visually in stead of read them to me, and it can’t read me the complete article when I ask her for more information so no, not useful at all.
    For me, currently Siri wins, along with all the awesome iOs and iPadOS accessibility features such as spoken content and VoiceOver.
    Around 2 or 3 years ago Google Assistant was the best voice assistant out there, but not anymore

    I cannot tell you how many times Siri blows in dictation, even when using Apple Watch. I had used a Samsung at times and using Google assistant dictation, google assistant actually does way better than Siri

    Google Assistant is smarter better and faster. I think iOS is still superior in its features. that's my personal opinion.

    Even though google assistant is better but for general use actually siri works better for me than google assistant. I am from india and google assistant used to be much better with Indian accent but from 1 year or more assistant don’t understand my accent so manh times but siri is always perfect I don’t know why. And also sending audio message is much better on siri as google assistant doesn’t want me to record long voice message but with siri it is always very consistent and you can record as long as you can. And while android auto you can’t even send audio message i think but not sure. So when i had android i used less google assistant than siri because it didn’t understand me properly and also sometimes laggy on phone

    This is not all correct, Siri is able to stop alarm, you just need to say hey Siri stop
