Google Assistant also does context-sensitive interaction that Siri cannot do as well, eg: "OK, Google - who is the Prime Minister of Australia" "OK, Google - and how old is he?" - with Siri you'd have to ask two distinctly separate questions (and quite possibly still get web results for both).

I installed Google Assistant on my iPhone 6S+ and works really well. The only downside is you have to open the App before you can say "Ok Google" but it works. I asked Kyle's middle name and gave me the answer. So you don't need an Android phone to get it's benefits. I'm still upgrading to a Note 9 still though because of the s pen. 😉
I suppose that's because you had to download it instead of it being on your device automatically

That’s how Apple locks you in their ecosystem. They get you to buy stuff that doesn’t work with other platforms. Me, I’m getting out of their ecosystem and getting or buying stuff that only works on multi platforms (Spotify, Kindle, etc). Apart from the 6th gen iPad, not getting any Apple products anymore 🙄

I use hey/okay Google and am impressed by the responses and how it can understand my mumbly Australian accent. MS Cortana is very good too. I used to be an Apple devotee but not anymore.

Years ago my friend got the iPhone 7 the day it came out, he downloaded an app that made her talk with an Aussie accent(bogan Aussie) The problem is she couldn't understand him unless he talked like crocodile Dundee. Furthermore the apple store told him there was no way to remove it. He is functionally illiterate so he depends on Siri to do most functions. He saved up for a long while to afford it and was basically stuck having to talk like the crocodile Hunter to use any voice functions🤣😂🤣😂 he wasn't able to afford another phone for almost 3 years😂🤣😂

Good point, but Siri uses that same engine as in it gets links from Google. If it really was about the Engine or the API, there's websites that uses google API and works better than Siri.

@@sgodsellify while that was correct a year or two ago, Apple decided to change the default searching engine from Bing to Google, so and even on IPhones like 6+ and above it has the ability to change your default searching engine, you can't change the web view sadly, but I think I proved my point. You could get an older gen iPhone, new, at a fraction of the cost of the current release, and probably have a couple more years of updates left in it.

IOS is really reliable and can last very long time but it's very limited comparing to Android.
and also iPhones have horrible battery life and very fragile,so obviously getting a case and a screen protector,and a power bank should solve these two problems.

No wonder that google is better in every way, they are the top search engine for a reason there algorithm and ai is just that much better from anyone else, only complaint I have is the voice is very robotic Siri is more pleasant to listen to, even Bixby (1st gen product made by a company who has never made virtual assistens before sounds far better) although Bixby and Google assistent serve different roles on my S8 bixby is far better at doing local tasks (like changing a very specific setting, or changing media output, navigating and more) hence why it is locally installed and not cloud based for the most part, and google is very well at cloud based stuff (like searching, giving info, fast responce and better understanding of the situation) therefore I find it unfair to compare them both since they serve different roles, and Siri somehow sux at both, but credit where credit is due on Computers Siri on Mac OS is miles ahead of Cortana on Windows

At one point I had both phones next to each other, press the button instead of saying the keyword and the Android phone got it right every single time while Siri couldn't understand half of what I was saying.

Did u know that you can install google assistant on iphone too? With shortcuts, you could even trigger google directly. Both the assistants are not practical anyways, at least at this point. But google understands indian accent better.
