Please help. A few months back I decided to do some preventative maintenance so I cleaned the MAF sensor and the throttle body. Every sense I have a 2000 RPM cold start and drops as it warms up before cleaning it was 1400 rpm first start of the day and drops as it warms. It's been doing that all summer just at a cold start. The last 2 mornings it's been in the 30s outside and my car started normally. However today it's been a lot warmer outside and the cold start high RPM came back. I know when it's cold outside and you first start your car of the morning you will have a higher RPM but my car only does it when it's hot outside? I don't have a vacuum leak and no check engine light. But it's weird that I have a high RPM cold start when it's warm to hot outside but when it's cold outside my car starts normally. Please help . It's a 2003 Toyota Camry XLE 3.0 v6
@@Top5AutoRepairs please read slower that's not what I'm asking. What I'm saying is that my car has a high idle when I first start it in the morning when the temperature is hot outside. And it starts normal when it's cold outside with no high idle. It only has a high idle when it's hot outside
@@dannycolemire2652This could be due to a problem with your IAC (Idle Air Control) valve. You can try cleaning it to see if that solves your issue, otherwise you may have to replace it if its circuitry is bad/failing.
It's a bad/sticky throttle actuator motor/wire/circuit issue. Common Toyota problem. I made a video on this topic about a month ago and the throttle body replaced was a 2010 Toyota Corolla.
I have someone put the car in reverse stepping on the brake and watch the engine how it shifts then go to drive give it gas you will see the engine pick up tremendously always keep your foot on the brake your other foot you feed it gas
ANOTHER SIMPLE BUT GOOD VIDEO, PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO ON HOW TO TEST FOR POWER AND GROUND I HATE ELECTRICAL
Sure, I can make a video on it. Stay tune.

Yes, it's normal for rpm to be higher at cold start.
