I'm not military, but I'm with the LT on this one. Its almost the same for Fire Department. We can't enter a scene that's unsafe we have to wait for PD (police department) to secure it for us before we're allowed to go in and do what we were trained to do. We have to tactically stage down the road or even a block or two away before we get that all clear. Once we get that all clear then we can go in. (No not all calls require this, it depends on what type of call it is.) Its kinda the same deal in this episode, that medic shouldn't be sent in until they clear those two guys. They might look like civilians but I wouldn't trust it until they're cleared. One minute those two could be "hurt" and the next minute they could be opening fire, and the last thing you need it the medic down as well as the other soldiers.
This was like watching Maj Watson and the rest of his know-nothing reservist command staff. Last time I’d ever deploy with a reserve unit... or do anything with the Marine Corps for that matter. I got out after we got home. 12 years in... Best life choice I ever made.
Lt. Murphy was right. Better to have a few Marines possibly die or get wounded from an IED in that car, or those civilians gun them down with Aks, than having a whole fire team and Corpsman getting killed or injured.
I would be first guy to assist them but someone who scream that loud for more than 5 min in a row is not in real danger of dying I'm pretty sure this is fishy. Green berets are the best to deal with that.
