Chris’ room clearing / CQB, especially how he takes corners, is some of the best I’ve ever seen in Hollywood. Hats off to him and his advisors. I can’t imagine how many hours it took him to “master” that from a theatrical perspective (and make it look so natural / smooth). Thank you for paying respectful tribute to the profession!
I've trained professional actors to 'master' physical techniques (martial arts) and it is remarkable how fast they learn to emulate the look. They haven't mastered the principles behind the movements that might be applicable to a real fight, but unless you have years of experience to see the difference, you wouldn't be able to tell from their performance. You put a top notch actor through a two month boot camp, they can easily 'look' like they've had two years.

terminal list was such an amazing show! love seeing this kind of content with actors going over their movie. chris seems like the guy who really tries to make things feel right for a wide audience! he is def one of the better ones!
I love that point Jocko made about the sound. There are some sounds that no theater can duplicate. For an example that is safe and anyone can go to, go watch a top fuel drag race. Even if racing isn't your thing, it's an experience that will open your eyes to a lot of things. The sound you don't just hear, you feel it in your chest and though your whole body. It's not just sound, it's a feeling. Plus, those cars accelerate so fast that you have a hard time turning your head fast enough to track them
Amazing idea to have a subject matter expert critique along with the actor. You need to get Jocko paired up with Michael Biehn. He's played SEALs more than Chris.
It is actually really cool to see one of these reaction videos where one of the actors is actually participating. You see them all the time but having the actor's perspective as well provides so much more insight.
Terminal List was incredibly well done and so heart wrenching to watch. I think that episode 1 scene in the tunnels was perfection and got the exact effect they were looking for.
Without sounding a bit ghey, Chris Pratt is Ryan Reynolds 2.0, slight upgrade and a bit more Bro-ey because we all watched the transition from doughy goofball that we could all see ourselves drinking with to a believable on-screen badass. Reynolds has always been a dudes, dude as far as actors go, but still had a tinge of fuckboy aura because he started out with his looks, Pratt growing into them makes him seem more relatable, plus he does cool shit like this and takes it seriously. I want Pratt, Reynolds, and Keanu in the next Expendables movie dammit.
i hope they make at least 5 season of this show. they nailed all the ascetics and all the small details. like the swap to a slug round to make a safer shot. top notch all around every episode.

Good to know this was done with authentication involved, definitely worth the watch "little details matter" Chris is a Chill breda 💪🏿
Yo, Jocko and Pratt seem like THE chillest coolest guys in the world to hang out with. Definitely the collab I didn't know I needed.
Two of my fave people!
And, yes, I knew the background of all of these films training. Right down to directors REALLY listening to their Pipe Hitter on set consultants.
Jack Carr's deal was a true masterpiece! Carr WRITES for his Spec Ops Bros first, the public second.
“Yeah this, is not my area of expertise ” jocko’s reaction to GOTG3💀
7:53 when i was in Iraq idk why but the people responded more to a pistol being pointed at them then a rifle and would follow commands. I know it's not quite the same but it's what came to mind while watching this part.
We found the same in Afghan, we thought it was something to do with pistol is the choice for executions over that way
@Stevegals I had heard something about that as well but never knew if there was any truth to it... fuck it, it worked so 🤷♂️ lol
It's a class thing. Upper class have pistols. Any Tom dick or habibi has a rifle.
They always responded to flares really well too. Lol.
A pistol is regarded as a weapon of authority in those cultures. Only the top dogs had them.
terminal list was such an amazing show! love seeing this kind of content with actors going over their movie. chris seems like the guy who really tries to make things feel right for a wide audience! he is def one of the better ones!
Plus, those cars accelerate so fast that you have a hard time turning your head fast enough to track them
Yo filming ZD30 in jordan and rebuilding the compound is fucking wild 💀💀💀
How else can you flex and show dominance? xD
Amazing idea to have a subject matter expert critique along with the actor. You need to get Jocko paired up with Michael Biehn. He's played SEALs more than Chris.
and a Colonial Marine
Funny that 2 of the times he played a SEAL at odds with Ed Harris either as a Marine or accompanied by one (or many in the case of the former).
If Mr. Jocko was (is) such the SME Then how come he didn’t pick up on the ATPIAL teammate flagging/splash in 0030?
This is cool as hell dude
Two great dudes right there! Fun to watch the breakdown and see Chris Pratt kinda nervous about such a hero figure as Jocko dissecting his work.
Terminal List was absolutely amazing, one of the best shows i have seen in a while
Great video
4:01 that laugh comes with lil ptsd
Thanks Jocko for spending time with Chris. Mad respect for the both of you.
Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas 🎄!
Now that.......would be a Fantastic Expendable movie. But it would be a long time, they would need to semi retire.
Ryan Reynolds probably enjoys the smell of his own voice and farts too much. Chris is just a normal dude with a good sense of humor.
Why are u gae?
@@garrett5974 You'd be surprised, apparently he has crazy anxiety and confidence issues.
Goes to show you can't judge people without knowing 'em.
Chris Pratt is the Bruce Willis of his generation. Started off as an unassuming actor on a sitcom, then quickly transformed into an action star.
i hope they make at least 5 season of this show. they nailed all the ascetics and all the small details. like the swap to a slug round to make a safer shot. top notch all around every episode.
I think you mean aesthetics?
unfortunately only 2 more seasons but a prequel and something else, look it up but at least taylor kitchen is in the prequel
Holy cow! Chris Pratt looks so much like Chris Kyle. R.I.P
Not a collab I expected, but super cool. Chris is so loveable and Jocko is so cool, I think they go well together
Especially loved Chris in The Tomorrow War, loved that dad/daughter combo
This video was authentic as all get out🤘 Chris Pratt dedication unmatched. Would love to see Jon Bernthal's Punisher with you through the lens of an Operator/Navy Seal
Jocko approved 💪💪💪
Yeah Chris Pratt was fantasitic in terminal list. And that first episode and fight scene was just beautiful
Man. I’m fucking pissed that I didn’t have Chris Pratt talkin w/ Jocko for my 2024 bingo card but I’d like an alibi.
That was so badass to watch. Jocko's commentary was legit.
this was a really awesome watch. I loved the feedback from Jocko!
Can’t wait to see Chris in the ‘Way of the Warrior Kid’ movie
Missed opportunity to review his skills as Burt Macklin, FBI.
I watched terminal list pretty much makes me a seal😂
Sick to see Jocko do this. I had heard a lot of media around terminal list and their efforts to be authentic. Fun video
met Chris while working a security detail for the filming of GOTG 3. Very humble and caring dude, god bless him.
As an army Iraq veteran, I appreciate movies and shows with some combat accuracies, it’s annoying as fuck seeing all this unrealistic shit. Modern movies from Iraq and Afghanistan have been pretty solid and matched the intensity of combat well.
All honor and respect to you and those who have served, are serving and especially those who have given their lives for this nation.
3:05 one of my mentors in the Army would have said those guys were suppressed to death - looks technically accurate to me!
Screaming kids definitely triggered a memory for Jocko. Wild seeing that.
Yeah, and if god exists, and it decides what happens to you after lights out, you think he's going to welcome people who killed little children? Delusional.
Terminal List was awesome and probably one of, if not my favorite,all-time action dramas. The plot was great and Chris Pratt and cast rocked.
Dude more of these. This was cool as hell to see Pratt and Jocko together!!
I don’t like to many hollyweird people but Chris seems like a good dude who didn’t party with diddy.
Settle down, kiddo.
@ in your lap daddy 🤔
Pratt looks like a seal
He looks like Chris Kyle
@doubleemcastillano464 he honestly should of played chris Kyle instead of Bradley Cooper
8:48 why would destroying everything tech related and harddrives ever seem like a good idea. Beginning of the war or not
Probably grabbing hard drives and not the entire computer for ease of transport. Just my guess.
@@pete6356dropping a hard drive is a good way to lose everything on it instantly, maybe at the time period that would have been unknown 🤷
One of the very few people that are part of mainstream Hollywood that are real, and authentic. Good Job.
Terminal lost was absolutely amazing. Loved every second of it
