Just found your channel, I have a fascination with self build camper vans, with the hope that in 2023 I can start my own build. I have subscribed and will go to the first video and binge watch to catch up.
We really enjoy what you are doing. My wife and I got our 2013 in January and have been fixing it up since. It's a bit difficult when you live in the city, don't have the tools, and play it by ear of course hah. Keep up the great work!
I feel you’re “pain” I’m my flat is in the Main Street to the city centre 🤯 people are full of good intentions,, *BUT* it can be really frustrating when every 2nd person asks (nicely) how you’re doing & you ( i ) end up spending 3/4’s of my time telling folk what I’m doing especially as I’m _winging it_ half the time myself lol,, I’ve worn out my welcome with family & friends driveways & garages BUT will get there, best of luck to you buddy (&FYI I’m scraping by on tools as well but there’s not much you can’t do with good old hand tools + if it’s got to be a specific tool, it’s not gonna get used much, cheap/ ebay type places is the way to go✌🏼🏴🏴🚛💨
@@-Ryans hello to Scotland Ryan! Our buddy Neil lives there. I'm an extrovert and have no issue showing people what I'm up to (especially since I litter the sidewalk with tools hah) but I know after the 3 person I'm like okay I have things to do here. I do get helpful tips and living in Seattle this is many peoples dream I feel like hah. One day I'll upload the video of myself putting in the ceiling but I stopped recording and just wanted to get it done hah
On the drivers side we may just leave exposed because we won’t open that door often as it will be covered by our bed. The passenger side will get something like this: www.homedepot.com/p/TrafficMaster-Silver-Fluted-36-in-Stair-Edging-18556/100354266 And the back will likely have a 1x2 butted up against it as a trim piece. Hope that makes sense!

Thanks for watching! Let me know if you have any questions, and I hope you can start your own build! It’s fun in its own odd sort of way!

What do you do about exposed edges?
