It is easy to add a fifth icon to the quick launch row. When you are selecting an icon to add, press on the left side of the icon, then drag it to the right side of the row on top.
I was about ready to give up until I saw this. Thank you, it worked easily!

I have never seen battery preheating orange bacon icon also kniwn as sss icon next to thencharge level when i heat up the cabin.....mose of my friends do see that icon. Is that an issue? I live in illinois where temps can go -12F

Under location > Superchargers, in the bottom there are icons for amenities around the supercharger. What is the clock icon for?
I’m hoping by adding the widgets to my home and lock screen the passive authentication will work faster. I never close the app on my phone or enter power saving mode but sometimes I still need to unlock my phone for the car to recognize I’m nearby, which is annoying if I’m carrying a lot of stuff to put in the trunk for example.
Is it possible to use two credit cards, one for charing and one for Primium Connectivity?
For the charge stats, I see that it shows monthly and yearly stats. Is there a way to view daily charge stats if I wanted to look at a specific date?

2:07 When I open the Tesla app as you stated, I don't get the main screen I get a screen stating "charge your non-Tesla". Is there anyway to change that?
Also, on that screen I have two icons in the upper right. One is for my messages, and the other is my account.

Hi Chris, I am so grateful to you! Your videos totally helped us out so much, we had our model Y delivery yesterday which is 2023 May 16. Initially my wife was so nervous about the general issues from Tesla, and for me I test-drove a Tesla 6 months ago so I have no recollection of what is like to be driving a Tesla but after watching your videos you literally helped me to overcome all the obstacles. You know what I highly recommend first time buyers watching your channel, and would also recommend my friends to watch your channel. But then again you are very well known in the Tesla community so my effort is almost useless 😅. With the charge stats section, the price of gas is a little weird. The app states that the price updates based on your region, but mine then states after that it’s the average price of gas for the US. I live in an area where gas is quite affordable ($3.50/gal) so the numbers are off. I wish I could type in my own values or that the app would actually pull in my region (Michigan).

Great video. I wish I could get the tesla app to show as a widget on my iPhone lock screen. The phone shows a few widget options but tesla is not one of them. I think it may be that I have an older iPhone Xs max

Hi! I have a model x 2023. I was wondering if your model x has vision base park assist where it shows the distance of obstructions? Mine dosent, and I'm wondering if that's normal?
Its because the Model X doesn't have ultrasonic sensors anymore but should arrive in the future

When i charge at home the app sees it as other .... Why ??? I cant seem to find why ....
There are some actions that only seem to be available as quick actions but not elsewhere in the app (or maybe I just don't know where to look). For example "Defrost Car" - I don't want this in my quick actions, but want to occasionally use it. Is there a way without having to go to "customize controls"? Just doesn't seem right that I'll attempt to customize the quick actions to be able to do some of those actions.

How did you get the smiley icon next to the car name? Can you show a live demo how to do valet? Tried it from out of state so my niece could charge her car. It would not work for her

Hello Chris. Great tips, but one mistake, when showing controls you can switch between Metric and Imperial measurement. You were showing Celsius or Fahrenheit (not centimeters and inches). I did learn a few things from this video, so please make more like them 🙂

When I turn Sentry mode off in the app, it doesn’t turn it off in the car. Is that the way it is supposed to work?
It should turn off. Give it a few seconds or turn it back on and off again. Also if there isn't any cell service it won't respond in the car

Hopefully this is not seen twice, cant find comment; anyway, great video but you did not mention anything about renaming your app [tesla]. So my wife determined you must have special access in app as Daddy Chill is spelled out all in one line. And when my wife invited me, i see the title in one line cause i do not have a referral cube. My wife calls the account "The Marshmallow" and that is how it looks on my phone. On hers, it reads The Marsh, then under it reads mallow. As if it defaulted to use two lines. Any ideas why? She is the main account holder.

Yeah you can switch it but if you have vision only you probably don’t have it yet

hMM. force close the app restart the phone. make sure you have wifi or cell service

You must still have USS on your car. Even with EA, the new '23 models don't yet have summon/smart summon.
Maybe Chris has the FSD Beta

They update the app more and more everyday! Don't forget to stalk your loved ones while they drive! ahha
I just bought model y long range and it looses around 10 miles overnight. Can anyone tell me why?
Sentry mode? Cabin overhear protection? Is it on?

I didn't add it to the video but I low key tried like 15 times too haha. The case was a game changer
I found if you press and hold the 5th one you want to add, then drag up and to the right, getting oh so close, and then simultaneously use your other hand to press the screen somewhere further down and left, as if trying to grab a different icon, and then the new hand was able to control the original icon, allowing it to go more to the right, getting the indication it will successfully become a 5th icon.

Bonjour, vous devez allumer votre téléphone portable comme point d'accès. Ensuite, allez dans le menu tesla wifi et cherchez le hot spot pour vous y connecter. Ensuite, utilisez la molette de défilement à 2 doigts pour réinitialiser la voiture et cela devrait fonctionner ! Merci d'avoir regardé!
