I like this a lot. I wouldn't mind them making a prequel for scream involving this killer and linking it to the first movie by showing a younger Billy in the end being inspired by the original killer.
In theory, this could work. Father Death was a Halloween costume so the novelty of the costume could of had an impact elsewhere other than woodsboro. Dead By Daylight definitely did better with the lore than what we’ve had in the movies

You might be right. After all Danny Johnson did his last killing spree in Roseville, which sound very similar to Gainesville. It paying homage might be a real thing. And DBD's Ghostface has a very similar name to the RL killer, Danny Rolling.

It's interesting to think of Danny Johnson as the original Ghostface, whom Billy perhaps took inspiration from - but if Danny was never caught? (I haven't played Dead By Daylight, so I don't know), then one would assume that he, if he wanted to be famous and was a strategist, would surface once again, with the Woodsboro killings (and subsequently all the other Ghostface killings) "stealing his spotlight". That would actually be a cool way to introduce him into the main Scream franchise at this point (although almost 30 years have passed since his own killing spree). Seeing him return with the mask and that cool variant of the costume, and play sort of a cat-and-mouse game with other Ghostface killers because he just didn't want to take everyone else getting famous on his behalf, literally Ghostface killing other Ghostfaces and others who he sees fit (introducing him as a third, unknown killer in a movie). Seeing his much more sadistic and cunning Ghostface as opposed to the stumbling, bumbling and overly energetic teenagers would be a breath of fresh air. A truly evil, conniving, and violent killer. Another way to incorporate him into the main franchise, could be in a spin-off prequel series, where we get to see his origin story, and combine that with Billy and Stu's murder of Maureen Prescott - how Billy got inspired by him, and was approached by Roman and that whole thing started. Maybe give us a lot of scenes where Billy and Stu are planning their deeds and watch how they interact when no one else is around. Give us a better look at how it all began and perhaps tie it all together with Billy having the affair with Sam's mother, so we get to learn who she is + we could meet Stu's sister Now we know Billy and Stu for who they are - give us a series exploring their true nature and how their thinking evolved.
He wouldn't be around. The lore of the game is that the Entity, this plant like creature who feeds on hopes and dreams, abducts people in her realm to engage in a deadly game of cat and mouse. Some she abducts to be survivors, constantly dying and resurrected. Others are to be the killers, hunting down the survivors to sacrifice to the Entity. Of course, there are some canonical shenanigans due to the presence of some licensed characters from points in the timeline they couldn't have been removed from. Of course, multiverse theory is a thing in DBD, so that does solve that. Some licensed characters are actually fine. For instance, Freddy and Quentin were taken after the events of the Elm Street remake. Some were also taken at the time of their deaths with the Entity saving them, such as Amanda Young and Detective Tapp. Sorry, got excited as I love Dead by Daylight

Roman Bridger was the one who inspired Billy and Stu to go on their killing spree. After Roman showed footage of Sydnee's mom cheating on her husband with Billy's father. Causing Billy's mom to abandon him, after that he went batshit crazy. Though I'm not sure if Billy and Stu used the ghostface mask when they killed Sydnee's Mom. So really the inspiration of the mask is something of a mystery. Either it was Roman who presented the idea of the mask, or it was Danny Johnson.
If the original killer disappeared I think it would a good easter egg to confirm him bring the ghost face who followed Sydney and Tatum before the party. Theories around him were it being probably Billy or even Roman. But it would be cool if the original killer heard of another ghost face killer and actually went to investigate. Maybe even planning to kill the copycats but never got to them.
Danny has made his way up to being my tied for 2nd favorite Ghostface, being tied with Billie and Stu being my favorite. I would absolutely love for him to become the canonical first ever Ghostface. But I believe rights and movie right would make that a little too difficult

That's interesting how they were able to re-work DBD into being a semi-prequel for Scream. Then again, it's easy to see why Danny Johnson would be the "darker" Ghostface--unlike the subsequent Ghostface killers, he had no personal motives other than to kill people and to be famous for just doing that, with no movie adaptations, book deals or celebrity status in mind.
I know this would never happen but since “Scream 7” is currently in development hell I think it would if there was a “Scream” prequel series that follows Danny and his killings. It would be a miniseries about nine episodes around the episode count of your average marvel Disney+ show. Unlike the movies the show would be mostly from Danny’s perspective other than a final girl or something like that. I also the show should end in 1996 three years after the Roseville massacre and we would see Billy and Stu buying the costume.

I’m glad this isn’t my head canon because it’s controversial enough SOME stuff inspired our beloved franchise like many if not all things. Billy and Stu (with Roman as the catalyst for his anger) being the OG’s is good enough for me. I don’t want this to be ANYTHING even remotely close to Scary Movie (2000). Ray and Bobby copied someone who already existed in their universe 🤣 Guess who made that and pulled “The Usual Suspects” Dewey plot twist that was a redherring a few times in Scream ‘96? Dimension Films. Fictional characters like this being immortalized and used in fanart is okay enough with me. It’s okay to have them be the one with original thoughts and ideas. Now . . . I will say that this could give the Tetralogy and legacy sequel saga more reason for still being around beyond one or even three films if they didn’t wanna use already established characters as the reason for things continuing. Many won’t like that reveal so late in this franchise though.

The character, conceptually, is pretty cool. I specially like his involvement with media, he's almost like a mix between Jill and Kenny the cameraman xd. But I would prefer if he was just a new ghostface and not any sort of original one. That'd be too much o a retcon for me.

Billy and Stu (with Roman as the catalyst for his anger) being the OG’s is good enough for me. I don’t want this to be ANYTHING even remotely close to Scary Movie (2000). Ray and Bobby copied someone who already existed in their universe 🤣 Guess who made that and pulled “The Usual Suspects” Dewey plot twist that was a redherring a few times in Scream ‘96? Dimension Films. Fictional characters like this being immortalized and used in fanart is okay enough with me. It’s okay to have them be the one with original thoughts and ideas. Now . . . I will say that this could give the Tetralogy and legacy sequel saga more reason for still being around beyond one or even three films if they didn’t wanna use already established characters as the reason for things continuing. Many won’t like that reveal so late in this franchise though.
Catalyst is the perfect word to use for Roman. People get confused and call him the mastermind, but he wasn't... He was the catalyst.

@@meggleasmr9558 The film and the sequel’s meta parody portray him like someone just not that in-tune with his emotions. Like, he told her it’s just the way it is and move on. He seemed to have lacked sympathy and empathy to understand. Whether because he was a psycho, a douche or just wasn’t that emotionally intelligent is hard to really grasp. This is quite the comment that could spark theories.

As cool as this would be, it wouldn't make much sense continuity wise. I would think the police and everyone else would make an instant connection the the "original" Ghostface killer. Especially since he was never caught. Everyone treats it as something new, started by Billy and Stu. Though if it was officially retconned in, idk how I'd feel about it. I kinda like it, but it's a little out there yk

The character, conceptually, is pretty cool. I specially like his involvement with media, he's almost like a mix between Jill and Kenny the cameraman xd. But I would prefer if he was just a new ghostface and not any sort of original one. That'd be too much o a retcon for me.
