This was OUTSTANDING. Some things I noticed in his writing.
-Woodsboro in meltdown and judging Sidney which also adds to why she never wants to return.
-The Mayor clearly blames Gale for the murders, which also explains why she wanted to leave Woodsboro.
-The whole Boogeyman angle with Billy being some sort of legend amongst the kids of Woodsboro was amazing

I like the idea of Woodsboro seeing Billy how Haddonfield sees Michael, Springwood sees Freddy, Crystal Lake sees Jason and so on. He was the original Ghostface, him and Stu were 2 of the more vicious killers with their gutting, they inspired multiple copycats after their deaths, they, apart from Jill came the closest to killing Sidney, Billy killing Maureen set everything off and so on.

I love when you get into Sam's head, and shows just how great her character is being an 'anti-Ghostface' - born from Ghostface but as a final girl. Sam as a character is so interesting and has such potential especially with the identity and mental health angle which is very modern. It is unfortunate that Sam has to learn this at such an young age of 13 and this would undoubtedly fuck any sane people up mentally and cause severe issues, like all the problems we see Sam having in Scream 5 and she even mentioned for one period she 'changed and taking every drug i can get my hands on' and I would love to hear what sort of mental illness you think Sam has.

I would say that Sam reading the name Sidney in the diary would trigger a wild sense of curiosity in her as I believe Sidney would have been a someone she had heard of by age 13 and new vaguely about. Maybe because of the 7 stab films Billy loomis name hasn’t been spoken in the town much since and since he’s only featured in stab 1 we can say chalk it up to him being not as important in the fan base because of the 6 other stab films and the fact there are so many killers in that franchise already. So maybe she hadn’t heard of him. But I would say she gets very intrigued by the fact she keeps seeing the name Sidney in her mothers diary’s. No really knowing if it’s the famous Sidney from her town or just another Sidney her mom went to school with. I’d say this does not supersede the information that her father isn’t her father. So she’s wrapped up in that but I’d say very shortly after she starts to really wonder who this Sidney is based purely off the fact that she knows that name. Everyone does. What a weird coincidence. Did my real dad date a celebrity in high school?!!! Sam then heard Billy’s name from the crowed like in your story. It clicks…”wait no, what? Why is my dads name being brought up right now how random.” Somthing in her gut tells her it’s not good at all. It’s not a coincidence. She does some online research and funded old articles and that Billy has a whole fan base online. She’s goes into denial and uses drugs. The drugs and her paranoia of her bloodline make her hallucinate. And she sees visions of Billy as a 17 year old kid because that’s all she’s every seen of him.

And they go on a murder spree that went viral and years later its like a anniversary like someone else affected by those events now they have to don the mask and do their on spree sounds familiar especially during that time the original came out. It was just a year or two later with the coloUmbine thing happened and the similarities between those two and Billy and Stu is a lot lol. 4:44 @sistapam had a really good and „sense-making" theory: When Sidney bumps into Billy after he is released in school, there were two girls who immediately left when they saw him and Sidney, maybe the one girl who says “Chrissy, wait up!"is Gaby, could “Chrissy" be a nickname for “Christina Thompson Carpenter", maybe she is just took a pregnancy test in the bathroom and is running away from her friend and also doesn't want Billy to hear them, bc Sam was born in May/July 1997, which means that Cristina was pregnant during the events of the first movie (September 1996), this only makes a lot of sense

    • @wesstewart2677

Sam and Tara are biracial (White and Latina). Their mother is obviously Latina as both of them are of that ethnic background and that is the only parent they share biologically. Billy is white so Sam is half white.
But since their last name is Carpenter it implies their mother took the name of Tara’s bio dad in their marriage. So it’s safe to assume that Tara’s bio dad is also a white man, since the Carpenter last name is of French/English origin and because both daughters have the same skin tone.
We can also safely assume the bio dad of Tara is white because the dude thought he was Sam’s bio dad for a long time, until Sam found the diary. If he was a black or Asian man don’t you think he would’ve noticed “hey my supposed daughter Sam doesn’t look black or Asian at all, yet my other daughter Tara does.”
I guess Tara and Sam’s mom just has a type for white boys 😂

Plus if we go by the book,Sam was 14 in scream 4 so she already knew who billy is

That literally makes no sense when you take into an account the opening of 5. Why would Tara let herself be attacked in the opening when
1.) no one is around to see her get attacked so she would have no reason to throw away suspicion of herself from someone else like Jill did when Charlie sliced her. Or Ritchie when amber sliced his arm in the hospital.
2.) once again, the hospital sequence. We see her try to call for help before Ritchie shows up and then amber in the Ghostface costume does, so that whole attack in the hospital where Tara is pleading for her life and crawling…who would she be acting innocent for in that scene? Up until Sam and Dewey show up, Amber and Ritchie (the 2 Ghostface’s) are the only ones with her. If she is Ghostface why is she keeping up the persona in front of the other two people who are Ghostface? Who is she doing that for, the audience?

    • @wesstewart2677
      @wesstewart2677 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@wesstewart2677 id counter argument that seeing as they said the "roman" of this series that shes doing a jill roberts level torture of herself in those scenes to make it as believable as possible. we've already seen billy, stu, and jill all stab themselves in the climaxes of their movies to be able to pass as victims of the massacre. also her being attacked needed to happen as the goal was to lure in sam to kill her and the only reason she came back to woodsboro was specifically because a serial killer attacked and nearly killed her sister. also we already done seen sydney call out amber faking being a victim just from looking at her performance at the house so i could see dewey calling that shit out if they faked it on the phone. i highly doubt amber murked every person in a hospital so there was also the chance another person came in to see this happen as well which gives the ring leader more saftey from being suspected if they did.
a side note as well. i dislike your take on your second comment. the plan for tara was to jus kill her sister. the other 2 wanted the stab franchise to get more irl scripts again, thats exactly billy and stu with roman. roman wanted his mom dead, billy and stu fucked it up and killed more after it was done. so he stepped in to cut the loose ends that effected him ( sydney for living and him having to be stuck directing a sequel movie to her life) we already saw amber and ritchie fuck it up by involving the legacy characters into it when they could have been left out and failed to kill their prime target. she didnt know the plot of the movie when making her plans no one in this series does, so why assume she would know shed have a sequel and her 2 accomplices are dead? it just comes off as really devaluing of someone just trying to have fun and theorize on the next killer. for all we know its another roman situation where he introduced that film, never sees the final girl till the end and is somehow even more connected into the story without ever being mentioned or seen before that movie. id take tara as killer over another scream 3.

I'm thinking back to Sams discussion about how Sam found out who her real father is telling mom and dad found out and left. I'm trying to remember did she say what happened to her mom or dad. Like i van see the dad being really mad and lots of true crime stories ends with the dad going back and killing the mom and even rest of family but other ones and movies has them doing just the person who wronged them the target and even trying to make it look like a accident lol. Maybe he had to go to a hospital or something but now he's out or got out last year he's still pissed and going after Sam and even tara. Who knows maybe both aren't his daighters. Plus he's been snapped so some things won't make sense won't be thinking straight lol. So it might be her dad lol. Maybe her mom. Maybe the dad left and he's gone but maybe the mom has Bern wanting revenge so she's doing this but I doubt it lol. Maybe they doing like happy death day to u and it'll be both of them lol. Even less likely I think though lol. But funny enough that's what Stu said though. I think its her father lol. Why can't they find her pops lol?

I like your take on it but I personally don’t think it would’ve happened that way. I don’t think Sam’s mother was in love with Billy I think she thought he was hot and a hook up was exciting. I think Sam probably read the diary dates to around when she was conceived and when she read about Billy Loomis she knew exactly who he was. A small town of that size a 13 year old is going to have heard the gruesome story in school, at sleepovers etc because that was a huge killing spree, serial killers and her parents even went to the same school as the kids involved. (I lived in an area of a city where children were murdered in the woods near the closest park the children all played in. By the time I was about 5, years after the murders the kids called it Murder woods instead of it’s real name) As soon as she read he was her father I think she was horrified and angry and went straight to her mother to scream about her lying and never telling her.
Good catch about the timeline though. Can you imagine? Her father finds out he’s been lied to , betrayed and in the midst of a whole new set of murders connecting to the original killers who fathered his first child, slept with his wife? Yes, he sucked as a dad after that and abandoned Sam and his bio child but imagine what he thought every time he looked at her. No wonder he ran. Selfish, but easier to get away from all of it. I don’t doubt that instead of apologising and trying to help her daughter Sam’s mother blamed her for the breakup and the struggle she now faced as a single mother. After all, why didn’t their mother immediately return when Tara nearly died? She let Sam get a bad reputation at school and with the police rather than explain the trauma Sam had faced finding out her bio dad in the middle of another murder spree by teens not much older than her, the age her own dad had been. Sam would have been scared, ashamed, guilty , worried she could be like him, worried others would find out and she’d never live it down. She couldn’t even tell her sister before she left and explain because she thought her sister my hate her if she knew, might turn against her and blame her for the abandonment of their father. It’s a sad lonely position for a 13 year old who didn’t seem to get any help to actually deal with it.

I think the new films have done a disservice with regard to the world being impacted by the Scream/Stab killings. The original trilogy was meta in the sense of the killings were sensationalized. The movies afterwards deal with it in such a weird way. Like the kids in Woodsboro are sooooooo bored with the whole thing? Five they don't even realize it's the OG home where killings happened? Come on. Go to Salem Massachusetts, they have a sign and historical designation for every single witch trial related thing. I think the movies need to, especially if they want to claim they're the most meta and analytical horror, address the public spectacle these mass murders would be. Gale literally has a morning show in the US and they act like some copy cat killer is only a local story and only interesting among crazy fans of a bad "Stab" franchise.

Christina has a lot of explaining to do on part 7 and they should bring back Stu and his sister Lesley. I’m sure Stu has a kid that is close to Sam in age

Sadly, the Stu plot may not happen.Stu is dead from getting electrocuted by the TV. Another thing is that he didn't have a kid though. But he did have a nephew Vince, who is Leslie's son.

I question this why is Sam Billy's kid she is 13 when she found out she would've been 15 during scream 4 1996 thirteen years is 2009 not 2011 bad math even if it was late 1996 she would've been 14 to 15 in scream 4 not 13 this does need to be fix or at least say she found out 2 years before scream 4

No. In the timeline for Scream VI, Kirby would be either 29 or 30 and Samantha would be 25 or 26.

I'm new to your channel so I don't really follow when you say you're doing a "novelization" of this franchise. Do you mean you're writing fan fiction? I mean, it is good. You are a very good writer, but unless you're actually contracted by the owners of this franchise to make a novelization, you're actually just writing fan fiction.
