    📺 It is not for nothing that the army and elite athletes use Burpees in their exercises. One simple calisthenics movement tests both your strength and your endurance. Tayo accomplished his challenge of doing 100 Burpees a day for 30 days.It was a major success for him, beating time and exceeding his own fitness limits.
    Why Burpees?
    - They fatigue your muscles and lungs faster than any movement out there, but you can make yours easy and super fast
    - They build character and perseverance
    - They quickly improve strength and conditioning
    - No equipment and less space is needed

    I jump when i do my burpees, to add explosiveness. I do them in sets of 20, with 20 pushups. So 20 burpees, 20 pushups, = 1 set

      @Rai_S82 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Same! I thought the jump at the end had to be included to make it a proper burpee - that's how I was taught to do them at school many moons ago.

    • @Pushment
      @Pushment  ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@Rai_S82 thanks for sharing. The original Burpee does not even include a push-up. However there are many variations and a jump is indeed increasing the physical effort. I followed Ironwolfs method with a 6 ct Burpee to unload joints an back. After 50-70 Burpees people don’t do the Burpee clean anymore and dynamic loads with jumping can cause serious injuries. It depends on the level of proficiency. I started slowly and it felt right to keep good form:)

    Burpees are surprisingly body transformative..as well as cardio fitness boosters! Ive been doing 100 a day for the last 2 weeks...sometimes I do 100 a day all in one go..but more often I either perform 10 every minute on the minute for 10 mins..or just do sets of 10 throughout the day (some fast, some deliberately slow to increase time under tension). I know opinions differ on this, but I add either a little jump at the end of mine or a stretch of the arms overhead. My best effort is 100 in 6' 34"..which amazed me! (I'm 64).

    • @Pushment

    • @Pushment
      @Pushment  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, definitely! If you want to gain some serious muscles you'll have to add weights into your training, but the right nutrition is also crucial. Maybe you just give it a try and run this training for a while in order to see if it is worth it. Bulking up is probably not possible.

    • @Pushment
      @Pushment  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I understand your perspective. While adding a jump at the end of a burpee is a common variation and can make it more challenging, it's essential to recognize that there are different interpretations and variations of burpees. Some include the jump, while others do not. What's most important is performing the version of burpees that aligns with your fitness goals and abilities while maintaining proper form and ensuring your safety during the exercise. There's no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to fitness, so it's essential to find what works best for you.

      Within this challenge Ive added 25 pull-ups every second day and 2 times a week a 30 min run right after the Burpee set. I also avoided sugar. But that was pretty much it. On the long run more exercises might be better in order to challenge your entire body as well as mobility.

    Bro , idk how the fuck looking back , im 35 outta shape could prolly do maybe 20 burpees before ill be on the floor.
    But in my early 20s i went to county jail. And we would get broken off 500 burpees as a punishment. One time we got the magic number. 1300 burpees!!!!
    No lie. Now usually its 113 burpees everyday mandatory like i said unless u mess up then its 500. But that day we got 1,300!!!! 😢😢😢

      He did 100 Burpes straight without breaks per day for an overall period of 30 days. Besides Tayo was running 30 min after the Burpee sets for at least 2 times a week and also did 25 pull-ups after the exercises. Further he avoided added sugar.

    Why not jump?

    • @Pushment
      @Pushment  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In this case as I did 100 in a row without stopping I wanted to keep good form. At rep 70 you tend to lose control and thus jumping increases the risk of injuries on joints. Especially when starting with it you need to be cautious and first make your body getting used to it. It is exhausting enough, trust me!

    All in a row? Or throughout the day?

    • @Pushment
      @Pushment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, all in a row with no break in between. It is important that the movement is executed in a proper way. The pace has to be constant and set according to your fitness level and the better you get the faster you are. In the end I only needed 07:33 min for the 100 reps.

    • @Pushment
      @Pushment  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Haha, it is of course one variation of it and please look up what the original burpee really is. I’ve skipped the jump to allow clean burpees even after 70 reps without any break. Of course uncontrolled dynamic loads shall be avoided in such repetitive challenges.

    Why can no one do it right. Jump at the end

    • @Pushment
      @Pushment  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are various forms of the burpee. I’ve done the jump many times before but I wanted to have 100 clean burpees. After 70-80 I tend do make them not as clean as before and that is when you can really hurt your back and joints as moves get uncontrolled. It depends on the level of your fitness. Btw have a look for the original burpee. It does not even incorporate a push up.
