Thanks for the awesome Video! Did you have to disconnect the battery prior to the install?

We did not, but you should be careful of the vehicle going into limp mode. If you want to be extra cautious, you can use a battery maintainer. With the door open for a period of time, one thing that could potentially drain the power the most is the courtesy / ambient lights, which you can shut off during the installation as well. Hope that helps.

How did they loosen the fender trim so you can gain access to the running board? Do you just pull it outwards? The 2023 doesn’t have have a fastener screw.
Also for the path light you removed from the old running board…did you stick it back onto the new board or did the kit come with the path light?

Hello, if we understand this correctly. The fender trim is held by plastic push pins. You will use a "V" / "U" like shaped tool to pluck it out. A flat head screwdriver can do the job too, but may be a little more difficult.
And for the light, we stuck it back on to the new board.
      Hope that helps.

@@broadfeet_official thanks for the reply. Got it. How about the wheel arch trim? I saw in the video that they had the lower portion of each wheel arch trim lose and was able to pry the running board out. I didn’t see in the video how they go these
Unclipped from the fender. I saw them pushing the trim back on but not how they released it. Thanks for help

Hi. Great video. I’m based in the UK
We’ve got X7 M50d and nobody here will install the running boards because it’s M50d. Everyone is telling me they will fit on normal X7 but not M50d.
    What’s your opinion. Thanks

This is not a Broadfeet part right? Commonly, the “Sport Edition” body is slightly different compared to base model (such as M package for BMW and AMG package for Mercedes). There is that possibility.

Hi. After watching your video I decided to buy the running boards from eBay and I managed to fit them myself. The only thing is not right is the light on the running boards which is not like it was before. How’s your lights ? Thanks
