Once you've seen how he plays this alone, you realize how much respect and space he's giving to B.B. and Albert.

SRV is so humble. He would never try to overshadow his heroes! If you noticed after BBs lead, SRV's lead phrasing was like BB King's signature sound. SRV could play anything he wanted and anytime he wanted. Short story - During the height of SRV in the late '80s, BB King opened for SRV, SRV didn't know it until they got to the venue and saw BB on stage. He got so mad with the promoter and told him SRV&DT should not and would not never ever again have BB King opening for him. He (SRV) should open or play before BB King on any bill. That's the kind of guy SRV was. So much respect for bluesmen before him. The other player was Albert "Master of the Telecaster" Collins.

Stevie was great friends with all of the black blues players. He adored Albert King. He loved them and they loved Stevie.

The third man was Albert Collins. Check him out. The master of the telecaster. He’s from Houston. I got to see Stevie Ray play with BB King twice

Saw Stevie live roughly 4 month's before his fateful helicopter crash. Saw B.B. King twice. To see them together on stage? WOW!

Sir, one of my favorite reaction/reviewers because no interruptions and well thought breakdown of the songs after. Just like you when you said when two kings on the stage at the same time egos have to come into effect. Love BB King been a fan my whole life but no one plays like Stevie Ray. But did you notice how he turned his entire guitar playing down to show respect to one of the pioneers not to out do him on stage. Says alot

Stevie grew up listening to all the greats and the Kings! Like Bebe King, Albert King. He developed close relationships with them. Albert King considered Stevie his son. Bebe said of him "I play the blues in sentences, Stevie plays paragraphs". Love your SRV reactions‼️

I'm delighted to say I saw BB, the Iceman, and SRV back in the day, but not all together! Hadn't known about this show, awesome to be able to check it out decades later. Good one!

DAMN! To have been at that show! 3 legends in the flesh. Doesn't get any better! So glad you love the blues! It's hard to find people who have appreciation for it. I'm truly afraid it's a dying art.

Glad to see you loving the blues! I got to see Stevie’s mentor, Albert King live in concert back in the 60’s!

Oh. my. word. My heart is so full. I still can't quit smiling...and that third guitarist I thought was Johnny Coleman (?), but some say was Albert Collins...but whoever...he was part of the euphoria that took over that stage.

BB King said something the effect of, I'm the only black man in earth with a white son.
