Albert Collins was the Master of the Telecaster, also known as The Iceman for his bright steely tone. Sadly, all three of these legends are now gone.

The look of pure joy on Stevie's face as he watches BB play is amazing. Stevie must have been out of his mind playing up there with BB and Albert! So cool man.

Jamel, Love Albert Collins!! His album 'Ice Pickin' ' is a masterpiece. Try his "Honey Hush", "Too Tired" or "Frosty". He has his own tuning, and you may have noticed the capo down above the 4th fret. Saw him live in a small club, and with a long guitar cord he went outside and jammed in the street for one song. On 13 July 1985, Collins performed with George Thorogood and the Destroyers at Live Aid, appearing as guest soloist on "Madison Blues". He was also had a small part in the movie 'Adventures In Babysitting".

"Nobody leaves this place without singing the blues" - Albert Collins, Adventures in Babysitting, 1987. Still one of my most favorite movie scenes!
All three of these names are straight out of my Dad's album collection, can't help but smile and groove listening to this.

Notice how SRV lets the other two Legends shine, even when taking his turn at lead. Invited The Iceman to his performance at President Bush's Inaugural Ball: Mr. Collins introduces SRV for his signature "Texas Flood" performance. Mr. Collins takes his turn at performing, walking amongst the crowd as he performs, as he often liked to do.

I do love B.B. and Albert - two pf the three kings of the Blues (Freddie being the third, but this is likely after Freddie passed in 1976). And SRV tops the cake! What a great show that must have been. B.B. and SRV both cited Jimi Hendrix as an influence. Which is amazing to me. B.B. King was familiar with many contemporary Rock & Blues guitarist. I've heard B.B. King talk about Robin Trower and Tampa Red in the same sentence. Never stop learning, growing and creating. That was how these guys lived.
