Yesterday PIP happened by itself, today it's not working. So weird. I was using it right from the app without paying for premium.
It happened to me too
I dont know what i had done to turn the pip mode on
I try any way but it wouldn't pop out again after i closed it
I guess maybe this feature is only work for specific video bcz I try again for the same video and it turned out the featute is working again

It happened accidentally on one video I was watching, I was like hey wait that means I can play football manager mobile while watching this video, did that, video finished, went to put another video on and it wouldn't do it. Tried the original video and it works. I don't get how that can be a thing, just that one random video it happens on but not others?
It appears to be certain videos support it even without premium.

I think this PIP mode is no longer accessible to all since there is already a pop-up view, though I'm not really 100% sure, already search about my issue (PIP youtube or fb is not working) but no actual release info from samsung.

i just try this trick but it's not working anymore for both chrome and samsung internet. youtube video no longer plays in the background when you leave the browser. you are welcome to verify that and let me know
or just use pop-up windows if u have one ui
so I wasn't subscribed to TH-cam premium and could do this up until a few days ago. TH-cam premium sucks and I won't be paying money for picture in picture since it's the only feature worth the money.

I was able to hide video to the left or right and still be able to play it but now with this android 12 update it does not let me do it. Also I was able to skip adds on the pip mode and they took it off. By tapping the screen twice it would go full screen but can't do that either. 😕 it's the mall things that matter lol
TH-cam app and One UI 4.0 do this on my Note 10 Plus.

It worked in some videos. I was watching a 4k hdr video and when I exit the app, it automatically switched on pip mode. I then opened a song video and tried the same thing but it didn't open on pip mode.

You became late.by 2 years or so.😄 using premium . But weirdly whenever i swipe up to watch videos in landscape mode on full screen it do not work and instantly return back to potrait mode. Any idea how to fix?
This could be due to one ui 4.0 compatibility issue.

Why the hell doesn't my android 12 phone from 2021 have PIP available in the settings, when iphones (the google enemy no.1) have it?
btw the method in this video doesn't work on my phone, it just takes me straight back into the youtube app.

Mine was the same until a few days ago. It suddenly stopped letting me use PiP. I've never used YT premium and don't plan to either.

I don't get it? I watching this in PIP right now on my S21 Ultra and I'm not a TH-cam premium subscriber. I've had this feature ever since I've had this phone, its even better now with One UI 4 .
Hi in some regions TH-cam PIP mode is available for free. In most regions/countries it is a premium feature, works only if I am TH-cam premium subscriber

@Tina M go to settings, apps, then tap on the 3 dots in the top right hand corner. Go to picture in picture and select which apps you want to use it.
@@dylangajdosik964 I tried. It doesn't have Chrome. I was trying to PIP TH-cam on Chrome as I am not a premium subscriber. On Chrome I have the adblocker so was trying to PIP TH-cam on Chrome but its not working.
