In this video, I will be showing how you can play your TH-cam music or video in the background of your phone without having the screen backlight turned on. This adds extra convenience when you only need the audio from your TH-cam videos.
In addition, this can help in prolonging your battery life significantly, given that your screen backlight which probably takes up the most battery power on a mobile phone will be turned off, hence saving all that power.
Please follow the steps carefully, also ensure you have the latest chrome browser installed before performing this process. You can update your Chrome browser from Google Play.

It works, I had to tap around to find my sound icon (Turns out it appears as a play button for me after doing desktop site) and after that everything works fine !! Now I use my Adblocker browser on TH-cam and no Ads while free music I enjoy on my walks!!! Thanks!
December 2019. It appears to not work anymore BUT swipe down from the top of your screen and turn off pause.

@@idekae8922 when you swipe from the top of your screen, on Android, you get something called the window shade. It's not easy to describe as it is to see a video on, so why don't you check out a search along the lines of "Android window shade"

It used to work I could listen to music for how long I want and now the music randomly stops playing how do I fix this?
If your browser showing you the mobile site go on setting ther ul get option to switch to desktop site. Works as described in video. Thanks a ton easytechs

Thanks for the tip. I also just realized that on my phone (Samsung Zflip 3) [WHILE] I'm watching a TH-cam video, I can tap the square box which is at the bottom of the screen (in the middle between the 3 vertical lines on the left, and the arrow tip pointing down on the right). Then you can get into any other app you want, and the TH-cam video will continue playing in a little box (which you can move around, or enlarge).
Note: If your TH-cam video is paused before you push the middle "box" button (at the bottom of the screen), it will take you out of TH-cam. The seemless transition can only take place if your video is playing before you push the square button.

I know how to make it work with no additional changes to your phone or any need to download anything. It’s so simple you can do it in seconds not minutes. I will show people how to do it in a video on my TH-cam so sub to me so you can get notified when I release my discovery.

Regretfully i have to say it doesnt work, i Turned on the desktop Mode on and it still stops playing when i leave the app or turn off my phone

This trick no longer works.
The China phones (based on several geek sites) seems to have been built to bypass these restrictions. I'm using Samsung note8. Switched on notifications, restarted. Samsung music-player served as the speaker button to play/stop. However, audio stops once home screen is switched off.

Finally I found out how to get this player (on a Samsung A12[standard setting , out of the box with no modifications to the lock screen] when you swipe left , from the clock to the player , it normally wouldn't be shown. But now it does! I mean , I couldn't get this player to work normally...umm it's a bit complicated to say.)

Bruh, this trick stopped working on my android phones like 5 or 6 years ago.
Tip: have a second browser in your mobile, because with the method described in this video, you cannot use Chrome for browsing other pages if it's playing a video in the TH-cam desktop site as described. So do like described on this video to play a TH-cam video, and if you want to browse the net at the same time you're playing that TH-cam video, open a second Web browser (e.g. UPX)
