The final part of this series follows our biking hero's from Honfleur to Le Touquet in gruelling test of riding skill and endurance ;0) ....OK maybe not.
Thank you for sharing your trip with us TMF. Channel & Atlantic coast of France is a great choice for a shorter distance biking trip for the novice or seasoned tourer, I have been living near the Atlantic coast since 2003 and I love it.
Hi there. I'm currently riding a Harley Sportster 883. I'm up in County Durham, on the coast. Spoiled for choice up here, riding wise. The borders, Pennines, North Yorks Moors and Yorkshire Dales. The Lakes are within striking distance for a long day too. I'm a big Triumph fan, as you'll have gathered! :-) Know your area well as I lived in Windsor for many years and worked all over the Home Counties. All the best Peter
Excellent wee series 3rd time I have watched this getting myself in mood and I few ideas for my Europe trip in July nice riding and commentary pleasure to watch thank you for taking the time to upload
great little mini series. Enjoyed that as i used to live in Carnac and recognised a lot of the places you went. Your friend is a brave man touring on a Benelli. Beautiful exhaust sound. A lot of peage's and bridges are free for motorbikes, i think it depends who owns them, private or local authority
At 2:33, the painting and sculptures shops on the left are well worth a 'Gawp', but the prices are somewhat 'eyewatering'. The Pont du Normandie and the Pont du Grand Canal du Havre are very impressive and much steeper than the camera shows.
Hi Tack - Sure was, I use the Tom Tom Western Europe App with a Bluetooth earpiece, works great on the bike, highly recommended! - Thanks for watching - TMF
Just watched the series through, playing a bit of 'catch up' since subbing. A very enjoyable trip and good editing, keeping it interesting throughout. Great bike the Tiger, especially for touring, and overall a very enjoyable watch. Thanks :-)
Thanks buddy. Watched all six. Very enjoyable Reminded me why I love France. I've one or two similar trips on my own channel, particularly to the Black Forest. 👍
Hi , enjoyed the six films. Beautiful countryside..drove down to about the same place with my father some time ago. I know you do some flying, but would recommend you take your bike further south and try out the gorgeous pyrenees. Er, bought a hyperstrada yesterday, and plan to head to maybe there or the dolomites next summer. Huw
Hi Huw, yes the Pyrenees are gorgeous (have flown there several times!) and the Alps are also on my "to do" list for hopefully next year - enjoy the Hyperstrada, cracking looking bike......TMF
Really enjoyed watching your mini adventure im off to see friends who have moved to Limoges just not quite sure the RSV4 will be as comfortable as your Triumph.
+Dave d Cheers Dave, glad you enjoyed it - sadly I sold that ol' Triumph a while back, but in many ways I do miss it (the stable ride and engine mainly)....I'm sure the blast to Limoges on the RSV4 will be a hoot....enjoy! ...but look out for the gendarmes, I got an on the spot fine for E90 during this trip and nearly had the Trumpet confiscated for doing 86mph....
Very nice series indeed, and very good video and audio. I like the relaxed pace you guys took and enjoyed the commentary. There is nothing about Europe I don't like except the price of fuel. I'm going to do an 11 day ride out of Rome and down around the boot heel this coming spring. I can't wait and hope to get some good video as you did.
Sounds like a great trip John, I look forward to seeing the video! Thanks for your kind words and glad you enjoyed the tour....PS Where are you from then??
TheMissendenFlyer Memphis Tennessee USA I could easily transplant to become an expat in many countries in Europe, but the cost of doing so is prohibitive. I've always preferred the European lifestyle and outlook to that which we experience in the states.
+TheMissendenFlyer drove from Carnac in Brittainy back to Ouistreham and the only delay we had was 300 yards from the port gates at Dover :( and much better driver behavior than here
A great way to spend an evening ,..watching your excellent tour. My old mate and i are taking a couple of K100RS over next year...what was the Pension prices like?..do you book ahead normally or take pot luck. Many thanks again , Bob L.
Glad you enjoyed ;0) We didn't book ahead - just took our ipad and booking.com is your friend! Hotel prices were in-line with the UK - £80/night for a naff place £120 for a reasonable hotel....Ride safe - TMF
Hi have did a trip to France last with a Firm in France and have to say you said in one part of the video you were not on top form with a fully loaded bike and not willing to push it. Sadly the company I went with seemed to think that I was too slow with fully loaded versys 1000 two up . Perhaps they need to watch and listen too you . Missenden flyer
Hi. Great sequence of videos. I'm intending to pop over there early September 2-up but she has her reservations about playing the accommodation bit by ear. Any advice?
Another nice wee series of videos TMF I take it this was in the early days of your vlogging career (you mention flying in a number of your videos was that occupational or a hobby ?)
Correct it was a while ago - glad to see the ol' videos are still getting a dust off! ...and flying is just a hobby I'm passionate about, flew into Duxford airshow today as it happens....
...The app just uses built in data and the GPS - so no need for phone service for it to work. The comms gear is called a "BT Interphone" - think it was an E-Bay special - works with the GPS/Phone or bike to bike, not both at the same time....ride safe! - TMF

John Buffaloe Maybe we should swap!! I'm not sure you'd like the weather here in Northern Europe and it's all very crowded....!!
"I'm not feeling the sharpest today..." - TMF regrets the beer last night. lol
Exactly!
Loved the Pont d Normandie when I drove over it (twice)
+keith davies Yeah it's great riding in Frsnce isn't it - must get back soon !

+keith martin Booking.com is your friend!
Can’t beat a bit of vintage TMF! Have you thought of doing this for a living? 👍🏽
Nice one Matt! Thanks for digging out the back catalogue!

TheMissendenFlyer Duxford is on the bucket list been awhile since I’ve been to an air show
So does the tom tom app use data or does it run like gps?
Also what coms gear are you using and does it work bike to bike?
...The app just uses built in data and the GPS - so no need for phone service for it to work. The comms gear is called a "BT Interphone" - think it was an E-Bay special - works with the GPS/Phone or bike to bike, not both at the same time....ride safe! - TMF
What were you using for navigation? I can see you've got an iphone on the bars, was it an app on there?
Yes - TomTom
Very good, can I ask where you stayed overnight, B&B hostels, campsites?
...I'm a hotel man - nothing booked in advance, all done via booking.com whilst we were on the road...
That's a good idea, no fixed destination, or route.
Great vids ....Why do you keep getting over taken by Chicken Chasers...lol
james peirce Cheers James - it was only the once wasn't it?? (uh oh, it's worse than I thought!!)
