As us truckers might relate, some days you are the windshield full of bugs, some days you are the bug about to collide with the windshield. Some days you are the cat spinning the toilet paper roll, some days you are that roll being spun by the cat😂!

Pavlin simply seems to have embraced all good traits of Eastern European upbringing (modesty, down-to-earth no-nonsense attitude, willingness to learn and help others…) - but without any of the downsides (bitterness, cynicism, know-it-all attitude)… to me as a fellow Bosnian it almost feels like spotting a unicorn in real life when I watch him ☺️ To me it is a very relaxing counterbalance to the usual (American-style?) overblown showbiz motorcycling channels. You speak from my soul, Pavlin! I prepared myself (daily riding, off-road lessons) and my 13yrs old GS during the wintertime acc. to your online course. Just returned from a 4-weeks ride through Spain and Morocco. All you say in the video is absolutely true. The experiences, changing of landscapes and people etc. sooo fascinating! This is my addiction now, aged 68 yrs and full fit. Don’t need social media at all. Riding every day for 8-10 hrs on my own, staying with me alone. No graving for applause on WhatsApp & Co. What a feeling of freedom! This is probably your best video! 👍 Peter from Austria
Pavlin, this is your best video. You have captured the heart and soul of motorcycling. Just like you said, you never know when you will leave this world, so I try to get on my bike as often as I can. In September I go solo around France for 4 weeks. I am 70 years old and hope to ride till the end.
I'm 65 this august. I live in Philippines and have not driven a car or owned 1 in 4 years. I have 2 motorcycles a Yamaha aerox 155 for the Street and a motorstar 150 srII which is dual sport with big bore kit to 180cc. I prefer the Enduro than the Yamaha I like having a clutch and the Yamaha is automatic. The girl who lives with me hates the Enduro it's too high off the ground for her and it scares her. At least it gives me a reason to drive the aerox sometimes. If I was rich I would not buy a car here on this small island with curvy mountain roads a car is useless and I don't miss a car or a truck. I ride everyday, normally not far and if I go to a bigger stare on the end of the island it is only 1- 1/4 hours which is enough time for me on the seat. You can't drive faster than 70 kmph without risking driving off the mountain. Fastest I have driven anything was the aerox at 85 kmph and 8 had to slow down in a hurry. Normally to speed for me is on the long ride 60 to 65 kmph and in town 45 to 50 kmph. Anything bigger than 200 cc is a waste of money you cannot go faster than 70 kmph safely. A 125 is to small to go up the steep roads with a back rider and a 150 cc is about perfect. Both of my bikes have plenty of power to go up the steep roads. If the roads were flat a 125cc would be ok or if you and back rider together weighed 100 kg it would be fine, I'm 100 kg and back rider is 45 kg. 125 does not cut it for me. Right now I have a bad gout flare up and rode my 5 speed Enduro today. Gout will pass, and I always have the aerox if it hangs around to long. I love riding motorcycles. Perfect place for that here.
I fully agree. There is no identical feeling to going down a road, and completely losing track of time and just enjoying the moment surrounded by the environment and having the wind in your face. It's what I consider, for a few moments, the true feeling of freedom where time ceases to exist, and it's just us living in that precise moment, in that exact instant of time... You have to experience it to know how magnificent it is. PS: I love your videos! They were my baseline to follow when I decided to go in 2017 on a solo Moto-trip from Portugal to Mongolia, and Back to Portugal, on my 1995 Yamaha XT600E. Every time I see your videos, I always remember of all the memories from that trip. Thanks! 🙂
I had a rough day today. Hoped on the bike (R1) and just headed north. I met 4 Harley bros and before I know it , it was getting dark and I was 5 hours from home. Turned around I headed home. It was just what I needed. I feel better now
Even if I have a lot to do, I still grab a cup of coffee and view your vlogs. Bcoz when someone with loads of experience and knowledge about motorcycling in general speaks, we enthusiasts need to listen. Thank you for all the efforts you have put in all these years.

Very wise words Brother, and as much as I love riding long distance I cannot do as much anymore at 74 years of age. It's been a while since I saw your videos but, glad to be back
Pavlin, I am in my mid 30s and you are one of the few male "adventurers" that I follow, purely because of your real life, level headed approach. Interestingly many female motorcycle adventure riders take less silly risks than males... though even here there is a shift starting, especially with sports bikes. I want my life on a motorcycle to last a long time. Keep it up. So excited for you, about the trip to Magadan.

Complacency and taking things for granted are the real dangers of riding a motorcycle, especially if this is your only mode of transportation. Great video my friend!
Totally agree Pav! Addiction yes! Been riding a few years, and enjoyed 3 day trips. Now, 3 years into retirement, and on my 4th major trip in the states from Oregon to Kansas to visit my father. (Currently in Kansas with my pops) Anyways, camped last year, and consider it the best way to travel on a motorcycle. I have taken alot of tips from you and my time learning from you has been well spent. Nothing better than being on the open rode and I can't come close to articulating the joy of riding, but totally understand your feelings as expressed on your videos! Thank you!
I'm taking a motorcycle class next week to get my license and I've always wanted to do a motorcycle trip. The things you say in this video are so profound, not even just in the context of motorcycle trips but just life. Real life. I wish to be on the roads and seeing things I've never seen before, meeting other humans in a strange place, tasting new things, experiencing both the highs and lows of travel and adventure, feeling the kindness of others and of the world. Not an online life that soooo many people including myself are trapped in.. staring at screens just thinking about what life could be and then rinsing and releasing that depressing cycle every day. We could be gone tomorrow. It was very eye opening for me. This is the first video of yours I've ever watched. It helped me tremendously and I will work to change my life. Thank you.
I can relate. I bought my first bike Ninja 250R 2 years ago at age 43. I transform her in touring bike. At beginning short trips made me happy but this changed after first long trip and about a week after it started itching again and this year I pass till now several countries. I deleted all my social media posts because I notice that very few people actually apreciate photos to inspire them but instead they were jelous. So I dont post nothing anymore, I ride for myself and for now I dont see myself in any other bike than my Ninja. And when time comes I hope God will grant me another Ninja but this time 400 because they do not sell anymore 250. Happy and safe trips to you!
No offense but a Ninja 250 is one of the worst bikes you could ever ride. I ‘ve owned several bikes, ridden about a hundred, raced a few bikes. My buddy who I use to race and ride with had the audacity to buy his wife a Ninja 250. She complained to me that it was awful. I rode it, and it was the worst bike I ever ride. I asked my friend what did you do? That bike sucks! He sold it pretty quick.
👍 It is really a major dilemma for many adventurous travelers whose biggest goal is to increase viewership in social media - Thanks Pavilion for these tips ✔
I totally agree with you Pavel!. I really like your objective and straight to the point approach, so difficult to find nowadays. Not many people speak as clearly as you do in this world and times full of posers and false-hypocritical society. Keep it up. You transmit good vibes and lots of energy.
The only dark side I've experienced was in New Hampshire while riding with my brother in law and my sister. We were denied admission to one camp ground after another because they said they were for family camping! They wouldn't accept us as a family! We rode to Maine, in the night and found acceptance at the first sight We stopped at and have never again visited New Hampshire!
I hate hearing and using the word authentic so I have all but wiped it from my vocabulary … but dude … YOU NAILED IT. Loved everything about this video. (And yes, I’m “liking” and “subscribing” now.
❤ Pavlin, thank you so much! Restarted with 60 riding my little Rosinante and rediscovering my life on tour. Still came back from 4000 km allround italy and sicilia. Had a gopro in the luggage, but decided to have a good ride and adventured without showing me, the bike, the always same landscape, driving where everone goes, cutting and finishing my Videos on a smooth evening in my tent! In my youth we had Diashows and the were so stupid, boring, ridiculos. The Videos of our days are like endless advertising, narzisstic selfmasturbation. I've looked them for years and tell you today, riding on the hill of my hometown is more thrilling. And the Videos should do the professionells. Thanks. ❤😊😂
You are so right. When the departure date approaches, I start to doubt whether I will leave or not because I will miss my wife and my children. But there is the taste for discovering the world that attracts me. When I return from a trip, I am very happy to see my wife and my children. I don't feel like going on a trip anymore. I am satisfied. Two months later I start thinking about a new destination that I could do. When I ride a motorbike I'm so focused on the movie that's going on that I forget everything. Thank Pavlin, your points of view are always very interesting
Riding any kind of motorcycle is mental (and physical) therapy.❤ I had difficulty watching your video to the end because you had me wanting to get on my bike now! Lol.
This is such valuable advice. I say the same things to my 4 children: Be yourself and pursue *your* interests. Don't compare yourself to someone else; as long as you are happy and take care of yourself, what someone else does is not important!
My (very understanding) wife told me recently: „Honey, you are always so happy and energetic after a motorcycle trip - how come?“ After watching this video, I realize I might be on a direct path to said bike riding addiction 😅
Good video for beginners. I started my motorcycling adventure. I am following your channel for almost 2 years. Your views are genuine. No one should fall into the social media trap and I am totally out of it. I couldn’t able to express how much better I am feeling after my motorcycle trips
I will start next week, but the videos I will upload when I come back. Until then only short, non edited updates on my second channel: www.youtube.com/@motorcycleadventureslive
Just came across your channel. I’m hooked. Great words of wisdom, and truth. Be safe out there, keep the rubber side up, and most of all enjoy life to the fullest.
Excellent comments. Always laugh at myself, when I am on the road on my motorcycle, I miss my home. When I am home, I dream of my long distance motorcycle rides. Just finished a 10 day trip on my Motorcycle. Loved it.
Pavlin, I found this video very inspirational, full of many truths & relative. Thank you for sharing your wisdom & knowledge. The video should be a 'must view' for every rider entering the motorcycling community & world. Thank you 👍Daz.
Good point of view I am 71 years old and you are right you don’t know when your number is up I try to ride every day thanks for the perspective ride safe ride free your perspective is in tune with my own
I am showing this to my husband. We retired last year and are comfortable, but he is terrified to grow old and not have money in the end. I keep telling him to live now!!!!!!
I've been riding for over 50 years and last year I decided to try a smaller 650cc adventure bike. Wish I had done this many years ago. Being I am 67 now and retired there's nothing like packing the bike for a trip and having no plans and just hit the back roads and enjoy the adventure.
It's funny that I came across your video because what you describe is exactly what I have gone through. I rode for many years and unfortunately I had to give it up a few years ago due to financial hardships. My life become mundane and predictable although my financial position was now solid. Recently I made a decision to get into riding again soon and life once again has meaning! Riding is truly therapeutic.
😂Pavel you swang hammer of wisdom again and the sparks of truth were flying.💪🏼👍🏼😄 I am a 60+ guy riding 70-80km/h Honda CB 125 through beautiful countryside roads of Tasmania. Keep up the good work and many future bike trips and blessing for you.🦚🌻🌞
Spot on advice; I bought a Harley bagger on impulse, and realized I’m way happier on a dual sport exploring every side road I find!! Not as cool 👀 but who cares 😁
What a powerful message, Pavlin. Many riders like to be seen, not enjoy the pleasure of a trip. This is the first video I saw from you. Hopefully the first of many. Cheers from Brazil.
Travelling is a true teacher, surprise and wonder, appreciation of the world in all its forms..doing it on a motorcycle is living the dream. A perfect expression of adventure.
Thank you very much Pavlin. After 15 years of riding my motorcycle within a 200 km radius of my area, I will embark on my first long journey next week, from Germany to Italy and back, avoiding highways of course. I am very excited about how the trip will turn out. And the best part is that my REV'IT! gear will be accompanying me as well.
There is just one thing in my mind when I arrive from a long trip: when I will bê able to departure again. Addiction to motorcycle travelling is a huge thing and it devours you.
This was featured on my computer news feed. I think it is represented in views. I'm happy for you getting more views and subscribers before your next big trip. Best of luck Pav.
Pavlin, you are the best, so many good information you had shared that I’m using for my dream trip Michigan-US to Ushuaia-AR in my 22 years old GS1150, starting Sept/2023 at 67 years old, following my say..”...life is only one...and too short...”
Your view is so valid and true. I've been watching a very popular women's channel for a couple of years now. She's always smiling. Always positive. At first I (as a female biker) was so impressed. Over time I became delusional about her vlogs. I started watching other channels. They showed tears. True experiences and feelings. Showed how they had to learn how to fix things themselves. They were and are real. Something I appreciate. Calling a spade a spade. Not sugar coating or putting a smile on your face portraying something that is not. Keep it real and truly show things as they are.
I bought my first motorcycle 54 years ago. I'm having trouble loosing my need for speed. I started motorcycle life with a 360 yamaha two stroke enduro and moved to faster and faster road bikes. By 1982 I was on a GPZ 1100 Kawasaki. You have a great perspective. Enjoy the ride.
Good stuff. Early on, many years ago, I made some travel videos. None are public now. I found that I would rather be present in the moment than trying to capture the shot of a moment that I wasn't fully participating in.
Sometimes youtube shows me what I need and Pavlin, your video this morning is it! The dark side is my need for speed, my need for a perfect set of twisties, a perfectly clean motorcycle and worse my need to be lazy and not take my motorcycle. Your comments articulate the ying and yang of our need for two wheels. Cheers and thanks! :D
Thank you for this video. As a new rider I understand what you are trying to say as experienced rider. Sometimes our ambitions can be dangerous and we need to realize that in time.
Truer words were never spoken! Thanks for validating my choices in biking! After many years of Ducati riding, I found my personal dream bike...a now highly personalized 2007 DRZ400. After having installed the ACT wide ration gearbox and many other updates I've put 105,000km on my old creampuff and am now completely rebuilding him for many more years of true multi-strada adventure. I'm quite sure that absolutely nobody but the very well integrated would be even slightly impressed... I love it!
Great advice as usual! I have a trustu old v strom and it runs like a swiss clock but recently I have found myself being sucked into these new bike reviews and was gonna buy new with credit! Your video came at just the right time for me! Thanks brother 😎
I have also fallen for this activity and adventure life. I'm type 1 diabetic, so I've always had to plan around that in order to continue living. Regardless, this is one of the few (many) hobbies I've had that gives so much back. I've got an 09 F800GS and it's been so joyful to turn left or right and find something new. There is truth that we don't know how long we'll be here. So might as well enjoy the time we have. Cheers, rubber side down.
strongly agree with this, the passion of motorcycling should come from inside a person, and should not affected by the online environment. You just simply make yourself happy instead of everyone.
I really appreciate your content. I have been looking for a used Vapor for my xt and this riding Bug really has caught me. I have got your advice. Ride safe you motivate me here in Kenya.
Great video. Just enjoy your motorcycle riding is the best advice ever. I'm going for a solo ride after breakfast round the local cafés, and in September off to Spain for my third bike tour this year.
Hi Palvin, another great segment. I laughed at some of your content because we have been there. Falling off is a component of riding that we do not want but it happens. We dust ourselves off and continue. The sights and experiences can never be replaced. Keep it up, we enjoy your content.
I have experienced this dark side of traveling exactly as you described it. I used to do month trips in my camper van. New place, new struggles, new people, etc. Very intoxicating. Now that I'm over the camper van, I'm going to start touring on my motorcycle. Can't wait to get that same addiction. It helps keep me going on the day to day humdrum.
4:45 "Everyday becomes predictable" this is why i find it so hard to live in a house, to go to the same job, to live in the same place, to go to the same shops, to be with the same person. Overland, motorbike, car, hiking whatever... so long as there is movement and diversity.
I started following Pavlin when he said
"Life is like a roll of toilet paper : the less it has left, the faster it spins"
Actually, this is one of my father's favorite phrases.
As us truckers might relate, some days you are the windshield full of bugs, some days you are the bug about to collide with the windshield.

And it has been said, you can't tour on a small bike. The many advantages of a smaller bike make it quite suitable for touring.
I am in USA, born and raised. Your English is better than many around here! Thanky you for honesty.
Any time!
Hy, Pavlin...i have watched most of your videos and i honestly think this is one of the best...congratulations and good luck on your journey!🙂👍
Thanks, Igor!
As a humble world motorcycle traveler myself, I can perfectly relate to what you said. 👍
👍 It is really a major dilemma for many adventurous travelers whose biggest goal is to increase viewership in social media - Thanks Pavilion for these tips ✔
Any time!
Good one, Pavlin. Too bad I can't hit the like button multiple times.
I totally agree with you Pavel!.
I really like your objective and straight to the point approach, so difficult to find nowadays. Not many people speak as clearly as you do in this world and times full of posers and false-hypocritical society.
Keep it up. You transmit good vibes and lots of energy.
Thanks!
Safety is number 1😉. Going certain places with no reception a sat phone is important! It can save your life. Thanks for the vid brother❤️
Any time!
Thanks, man!
Thanks. ❤😊😂
Thanks for sharing!
Right to the point. Not only for motorcycle travelling, but for life.
You're so right stay away from social media and tv news......
Yes!
I like how you talk about this stuff in 10 mins. Very nicely put. It's a constant struggle that I enjoy too, the addiction.
My pleasure, thanks for listening!
Any time, Alain!
Traveling by motor, It's not a battle, it's can be a lifestyle of your own interests and capabilities. Thanks Pavlin!
Any time!
Riding any kind of motorcycle is mental (and physical) therapy.❤
I had difficulty watching your video to the end because you had me wanting to get on my bike now! Lol.
Fair enough!
This is such valuable advice. I say the same things to my 4 children: Be yourself and pursue *your* interests. Don't compare yourself to someone else; as long as you are happy and take care of yourself, what someone else does is not important!
Good!
My (very understanding) wife told me recently:
„Honey, you are always so happy and energetic after a motorcycle trip - how come?“
After watching this video, I realize I might be on a direct path to said bike riding addiction 😅
Good!
Good video for beginners. I started my motorcycling adventure. I am following your channel for almost 2 years. Your views are genuine. No one should fall into the social media trap and I am totally out of it. I couldn’t able to express how much better I am feeling after my motorcycle trips
Glad to hear that
i am still waiting for your Journey to Russia ,one of the Country i love .
And i am stock pilling my favorite drinks to get ready for yer video.
I will start next week, but the videos I will upload when I come back. Until then only short, non edited updates on my second channel: www.youtube.com/@motorcycleadventureslive
I spent my young life under russian rule. Nothing to love about it.
Your talk made me smile. You have very legitimate points. And you accent makes listening interesting as well.
Thanks, man!
Congrats Pavlin! you absolutely nailed the philosophy of a motorcycle adventure in your vlog. I couldn't agree more on anything you said.
Thank you, Andy!
Just came across your channel. I’m hooked. Great words of wisdom, and truth. Be safe out there, keep the rubber side up, and most of all enjoy life to the fullest.
Much appreciated!
Riding is like going to a counselor. But cheaper. It always puts a smile on their face
True!
i just started to become interested in the whole adventure bike and bike travel topic, but i gotta say, the passion you talk with is so nice
Good!
Excellent comments. Always laugh at myself, when I am on the road on my motorcycle, I miss my home. When I am home, I dream of my long distance motorcycle rides. Just finished a 10 day trip on my Motorcycle. Loved it.
Thanks for sharing!
Pavlin, I found this video very inspirational, full of many truths & relative. Thank you for sharing your wisdom & knowledge. The video should be a 'must view' for every rider entering the motorcycling community & world. Thank you 👍Daz.
Good point of view I am 71 years old and you are right you don’t know when your number is up I try to ride every day thanks for the perspective ride safe ride free your perspective is in tune with my own
Exactly!
I am showing this to my husband. We retired last year and are comfortable, but he is terrified to grow old and not have money in the end. I keep telling him to live now!!!!!!
Do it!
I've been riding for over 50 years and last year I decided to try a smaller 650cc adventure bike. Wish I had done this many years ago. Being I am 67 now and retired there's nothing like packing the bike for a trip and having no plans and just hit the back roads and enjoy the adventure.
I really enjoy your videos, as a fellow rider, looking to get into the ADV world, the information you provide is priceless! Greetings from Romania! 🇷🇴
Awesome, thank you!
Thanks for sharing!
😂Pavel you swang hammer of wisdom again and the sparks of truth were flying.💪🏼👍🏼😄
I am a 60+ guy riding 70-80km/h Honda CB 125 through beautiful countryside roads of Tasmania.
Keep up the good work and many future bike trips and blessing for you.🦚🌻🌞
Thanks for watching, Karl! Enjoy your rides!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Travelling is a true teacher, surprise and wonder, appreciation of the world in all its forms..doing it on a motorcycle is living the dream. A perfect expression of adventure.
Agree!
Spot on!! Be realistic and don’t compare to others. That will lead you to frustration. Do what you love the most and enjoy it!! Wise words as always
Thanks, man!
Have fun!
Hello Pavlin, some really great insights, totally identify with the travel addiction. Looking forward to watching more of your videos 👍🏻
Wow Pavlin! Amazing message for the world! I love this! This is clear and straight to the point!
Thanks, Marc!
This video is exactly how I feel about motorcycling… Individuality and adventure… Thank you for putting it so well regards Bob
My pleasure, Bob!
There is just one thing in my mind when I arrive from a long trip: when I will bê able to departure again. Addiction to motorcycle travelling is a huge thing and it devours you.
True!
One of the best videos I've ever seen. Straight advice from a person who has been and done.
Thanks, man!
This was featured on my computer news feed. I think it is represented in views. I'm happy for you getting more views and subscribers before your next big trip.
Best of luck Pav.
Thanks, man!
Yes,you're right. It's the challenge of the 2 wheeled addiction.Car travel for the family but the solo adventure is so strong.Love the humour.
Thanks, man!
Your channel is the best Pavlin - no frills , no crap , adventure with plain reality thrown in !
Thank you!
Pavlin, you are the best, so many good information you had shared that I’m using for my dream trip Michigan-US to Ushuaia-AR in my 22 years old GS1150, starting Sept/2023 at 67 years old, following my say..”...life is only one...and too short...”
Thanks for watching, Carlos and good luck on your trip!
I just discovered your channel, and i love it! Time spent traveling on my motorcycle is exactly as you described! I am a subscriber!!
Awesome, thank you!
Love your attitude and your slavic accent. Greetings from Hungary. Széles utat!
Cool!
Добре го каза, браво. Добър си, казвал съм го и отново ще го кажа.... имаш кураж, което те прави да си с едни гърди пред нас.
Поздрави от София!
Благодаря за отделеното време!
Remarkable video. Thank you for taking the time to produce this masterpiece.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good old common sense as usual my friend. I’ve been riding for about 55 years and it’s the one thing that keeps me sane and learning.
Thanks for sharing!
What an awesome and very realistic video Pavlin, well done and thanks for sharing it!! 👍👍
Very well said. From one rider to another. Stay the course
Good stuff. Early on, many years ago, I made some travel videos. None are public now. I found that I would rather be present in the moment than trying to capture the shot of a moment that I wasn't fully participating in.
Fair enough!
Thanks for sharing!
Yet another great video, Pavlin! And so much wisdom and depth in this one...quite philosophical, and lots of food for thought! 😀👍
Thank you!
I’m 56 and have rode most of my life. Take his advice and never forget it.
Thanks, man!
*I like wise men and you're one of them, sincere advice is good to listen to and think logically before reaching no turning point*
I appreciate that!
Thank you for this video. As a new rider I understand what you are trying to say as experienced rider. Sometimes our ambitions can be dangerous and we need to realize that in time.
Exactly!
I love it!
Thanks for sharing!
Great advice as usual!
I have a trustu old v strom and it runs like a swiss clock but recently I have found myself being sucked into these new bike reviews and was gonna buy new with credit!
Your video came at just the right time for me!
Thanks brother 😎
Glad to help!
Well done boss 👏 that was the smoothest/best INTRO to a TH-cam video I have seen . .
Grab your favourite drink 😅
Glad you enjoyed!
The man speaks from his heart. Lots of respect!
Thank you!
i did a two month tour in June-July this year and i am feeling exactly what you are saying. I didnt have that on 3 week trips...
Thanks for taking the time!
Been thinking of getting a bike and traveling for a long time. This video clinched it. Great video. Great philosophy.
Glad it was helpful!
I really appreciate your content. I have been looking for a used Vapor for my xt and this riding Bug really has caught me. I have got your advice. Ride safe you motivate me here in Kenya.
Glad to help!
Thanks, man, I will!
Best advice about motorcycling related to life in general and social media! A must watch video for everybody! Cheers from Costa Rica!
Thanks, man!
Thanks for sharing!
4:45 "Everyday becomes predictable" this is why i find it so hard to live in a house, to go to the same job, to live in the same place, to go to the same shops, to be with the same person. Overland, motorbike, car, hiking whatever... so long as there is movement and diversity.
Good!
Excellent videos, thanks for your honesty. Cordial greetings from Chile. South America
Thanks for watching!
Got my first bike, a honda xr 190l here in Peru, 2 weeks ago, and I am addicted already 😂
Great video 👌
Nice 👍!
