Counter-Strike 2 Hammer - Wall niches / doors / windows / tunnels

- This video shows how to make cuts in the wall to make doors, windows, niches, or even tunnels. It's important to use the lowest number of steps (that still look decent) when making things like bevels and arches to reduce performance drops.

Requires a whole lotta what?
manipulating the ending of faces of blocks (also known as edges) in counter-strike 2 hammer!
@@ReDMooNTVVblud did not acknowledge the joke💀💀

Edging is an absolute blast. It gets the job done with satisfying results.
edged because of this, thanks edge man
Thanks for teaching me how to edge
my pleasure
lmao 😂
i’m always in edge mode 😈
😼😼😼
Awesome
finally learnt how to edge like a real developer
NEVER STOP EDGING
Excellent tutorial. Everything done in 2 minutes.
Need some more kz streams :D
perhaps more kz mapping streams soon
Interesting, ty
Man, Source 2 seems like such a pleasure to work with
I've practiced a fair amount of time in Source 1, it is such a huge problem to make such small thing as these niches. And a whole lot of problems with just rendering the stuff, making it all optimised. Horrible. So sad that I wouldn't get a Source 2 SDK anytime soon and my PC is too weak for it anyways..
source 2 hammer is basically a 3d modelling program like blender now. I think it's a massive win for all map makers. One of the best things added was the gpu path tracing preview imo. Lighting was always such a pain to get right
it's unfortunate that it's preventing many people from mapping though
I'm not good at 3d modeling or map making, but seeing that n-gon on the arch doesn't feel right. I'm not sure if it has any impact in this contect but still
youre right, but apparently the engine takes care of it and valve does the same thing(?). But dont quote me on that
When the map compiles, the engine will convert n-gons into 3-gons automatically
N-gons are fine for non deforming hard surface geometry.
damn, wow, source 2 hammer is much easier to use and it looks not as cryptic as old one
yep, it behaves similar to 3d modelling softwares like blender. You should have a pretty nice time if youre familiar with those
