20 Minute Arms and Shoulders Workout with Dumbbells | Caroline Girvan

  • 20 MINUTE SHOULDERS & ARMS workout! Here we go!! Ready for my style of finisher? The triceps will be officially done!
    Slow, controlled, focused and intense as always!! All angles of the shoulders, those triceps and biceps all will be challenged using a pair of dumbbells and then our bodyweight as resistance to really finish those triceps!
    All you will need for this shoulder & arm workout is dumbbells and your mat!
    The dumbbells I am using for your reference are 9kg each! I also use 6kg each for the LATERAL RAISES and REAR DELT FLYES!
    The timer will be on for a majority of this workout 40 seconds of work, 20 seconds rest!
    The staple is Shoulder Press and will appear 5 times in total!
    All you will need for this shoulder & arm workout is dumbbells and your mat!
    The dumbbells I am using for your reference are 9kg each! I also use 6kg each for the LATERAL RAISES and REAR DELT FLYES!

      Hi! Is this also for men? I am man and did this with my mother-in-law but it was brutal! I only managed with soda cans as weights but lasted only around 9 minutes in the video when my arms completely gave up and I stopped😟 My MIL did the full video with 20 lb dumbbells! She has powerful massive shoulders and arms! I feel really low and defeated.

    I can’t believe I actually did the full minute of tricep push-ups at the end! These workouts are so motivating- it’s amazing to read everyone’s comments and see my own progress!     Those cobra push-ups were new and fun! But doing 3 minutes…phew! My tricep push-ups were basically nonexistent 🤣

    Hi Caroline, I love your workouts that are less than 30 mins since I can do them with some other workouts of yours! Can you do a 1000 reps challenge video? I really loved those videos of yours. I have been following your workouts for 4 months now, although I didn't comment much cus I wanted to do that after I get some results.     I run 6 km and them by shoulders arms session was Waiting for me. Such an incredible one! YoU are amazing. Triceps push ups are my nightmare, even if I do them on my knees. I so admire you!

    Another great workout to look forward to! The hard work you put into these excellent workouts does not go unappreciated Caroline! Truthfully, so many exercise/fitness influences try to push you into buying something, but you don’t do that! I think that’s honorable. If it will support you, I would gladly buy an epic t-shirt!     I’ve been enjoying these short but intense workouts immensely. I feel amazing after, and find the workouts to be effective for maintaining muscle and overall tone!
    This was such a great combination of exercises for the shoulders and arms. Felt the burn.

    Day 8 Smashed! Shoulders & Arms feels great! Brilliant staple. Def challenging using heavier weights with the skull crushers and curls but kept at it. Fave was the finisher, tricep was done 😁. No add-on for me today.

Today I did 30min ABSolute ABS as add-on after my main session and really enjoyed it! ☺ We had a little bit of snow here twice (we live near Frankfurt) ... most of the time it's raining. My family in Austria is enjoying a proper winter! They had heavy snowfall there ... very beautiful! Can't wait to see what Caroline has in store for us tomorrow!     So I did day one shoulders after legs yesterday and thought I will stick the the plan and do this today. This is super loved the press as a staple and went heavy on those 17.5kg DBs dropping to 15ky DBs for the last set. Used 7.5 kg for the Lat work where those partials really do sting. On Arms I used 10kg. So quick, so efficeint, and so effective, definitely feel the pump and solidness especially in the shoulders. Awesome again 👏

By the end of this I just couldn’t believe how hard cobra push ups could be...but I kept on and did the triceps add on! My arms felt very well worked by the end! Great session today these 20mins are great 👍 I tend to do Cardio after although yesterday did legs and shoulders so the advent got revenage today with more shoulders. I will be in touch over the next few days with an update.

    🎁 Another advent workout present opened, smashed and loved! 🎄😆 I enjoyed it from start to finish. My favorites were the rear delt flyes and the finisher 🤩!       Hi! Is this also for men? I am man and did this with my mother-in-law but it was brutal! I only managed with soda cans as weights but lasted only around 9 minutes in the video when my arms completely gave up and I stopped😟 My MIL did the full video with 20 lb dumbbells! She has powerful massive shoulders and arms! I feel really low and defeated.

    This is my favorite arm workout ever. I just got into dumbbell workouts, and everything seemed either intimidating or too easy. This is HARD, but not too long and I love the music and your upbeat vibe.

    Shoulders burning, felt the weights were getting heavier each staple, the partials in each round were tough 🔥
    The cobras wow at the end, started and i was like OK and then the burn hit 🔥🔥🥴😅 loved that 👌❤️😁

    I can certainly feel my hamstrings after all those RDLs & quads too after all the squats yesterday. So glad to focus on the other half of the body as I killed my lower half yesterday 😆 Shoulders & arms today, this will be a challenge with that “dead arm” feeling…let’s go 🤍❤️

      My lower body is destroyed😅 Definetely resting those legs before we work the hell out of them again. That was a wonderful workout, my favourite part was actually the finisher - pure 3 minutes of work. I love how cobra push ups became harder and harder each minute. Add-on was superb, my triceps were trembling by the end. These 20 minutes workouts are sharp and effective, true testimony that you don't have to spend three hours in the gym for muscle growth and endurance. And we are only on day 8, so many more surprises coming.

      Hi Devansh, I found the strength in the legs yesterday and I smashed the leg day too. Was Superb. Definitely will incorporate to a 40/50 min leg day. Today the shoulders and arms will hurt just a little. Enjoy your workout and your day 😊

    Loved today’s shoulder and arms session. Followed by 15 minutes kettlebell full body. I can see that I am so much stronger with my kettlebell swings. Love these short and powerful workouts!

    Morning all, loved it loved loved it!! Again super variety with lots of challenges💪💪 time flew by. Went on to do add on and got through it even though I dropped to 5kg. Super upper body workout from both. Have lots of fun with these. Time fly's by. Enjoy💪💪

    Came to this after I got used to the 15 minute one more. Love the workouts, been doing this one for about a month and a half now and have definitely been seeing improvements! I'm nearing 300 lbs but have been seeing increasing weight loss in my arms and more definition in them and my shoulders more and more! The finisher really finishes me off every time T-T but at least that means I always feel the burn afterwards lol

    Love the workouts in this series! Not able to do shoulders right now as I'm in PT for them, but was able to lightly work the biceps and triceps. Really hard for me not to push it on upper body, but I'm also trying to avoid shoulder surgery and really lose my gains. As always Caroline, you are such a blessing to us all and thank you just isn't enough. You are truly appreciated for all that you do.

    I'm going to have to combine this workout with yesterday's leg day. Going to have a sore body tomorrow. I'm at my parents' for a month so signed up at a local gym just to use their weights. First time I'll be doing Caroline's workouts out of the comfort of my home. I'm excited at the prospect of a range of dumbells at my disposal. The shoulder is going to be on FIRE.     ARMazing!! This was another superb present 🎁 from Caroline delivered for the benefit our upper body, 💪 weights 5.0/4.6/3.8kg probably could have gone heavier on the shoulder press (5kg). However I really wanted to keep my form. 😃. The time just flew by 👊👍.

    Oh my goodness!!! Just finished the workout. That was hard, my arms and my shoulders are literaly burning!!!. Caroline, I have to admit, that you made me realise that even a workout of that length, can become extremely hard. Just for reference, I used through out the workout 10Kg dumbels, except the rear delt fly, that I dropped to 5Kg😳
