- New Game Plus has unfortunately been delayed to March 2nd due to bug fixing. To tide us over until then, in this video, I give 10 things you can do that will enhance your new game plus playthrough when you do start it! Go in there overpowered and prepared, getting a few tasks done in the first playthrough of the game.

They need to make her far more common, if it was something you did on a blade you got at the very start it would not feel nearly as annoying. That said, I think that XXX 1 should have given 1, XXX 2 should have given 2, 3 given 3, 4 given 4, and 5 given 5. Or the different concerts that gave stamps should have been repeatable.
Actually it's isn't that bad if you use her mission to complete other Blades charts instead of just trying to max her as soon as you can. Her missions are really short and for first sing mission you only need her and other ice Blade - So you can acctually almost max 5 blade charts (You still need to beat unique monsters through) at once! Just remember to farm trust for them first.

I've been managing to blitz all the SuperBosses. Surprisingly some of them I beat in one try.
Steven Ruest Took me maybe 2 attempts to beat Ophion. Not counting the one time I fell off the cliff randomly and died. Didn't even bring a quarter of health down that match so I don't count it.
1) 0:52 Collect 99 legendary cores (and release common blades)
2) 1:37 Stock up WP items (by completing affinity charts)
3) 1:50 Farm Moon Matter and Tachyon Chips
4) 2:18 Get the 10 Dilation Chips (by defeating Ophion)
5) 2:42 Get every shop deeds for bonuses
6) 3:21 Collect all 3 overdrive protocols on map
7) 3:47 Get the best accessories (and clear useless accecssories)
8) 4:12 Restock your favorite pouch items

This game has so much content. Greatest rpg of all-time.
I love the game but it is plagued by so many bad design decisions and if we're real aside from the blade quests none of the side quests are worth doing lol

So... your saying the only way to get all the torna blades is to get them through opening Legendary and rare core crystals?
Can someone tell me if I will already have Praxis and Theory in NG+ or will I need to do the Core Crystal Hunters Quest again? Same for any other Rare blade that has a quest to get IE Vess Harold?
I did everything except the weapon proficiency for drivers. Pretty funny how we had almost the same exact same list of things to do to prep for ng+! The only good thing to come from the delay is that it gave me time to play though both Bayonettas on switch

@@B3engMarine well, the “me” from 5 years ago would have said to give the food from leftheria to your blades to gain affinity, as it was the fastest way. But now, they added love potions to the game. Don’t remember the quest exactly, but I believe it was dlc. It will save you many, many hours compared to how I did it back when I made the comment
I actually had a save file where I rushed through the first save file and went to new game + as soon as I could. It's pretty fun to smack Akhos in the face with another Akhos, or defeat Malos with his own blade (Sever)

It's Dilaton chip. Not Dilation chip. Everyone seems to get it wrong, even the faqs. This also means Dilaton chips are now technically renewable since you can just rerun the game and get another set of 10, meaning you can min-max your tank blades if you want. You also get overdrive protocols by maxing a player character's affinity chart. You should also mention Kos-Mos' affinity event since its only accessible during the endgame, getting pouch expanders (yeah i know, but im covering bases here) gathering farm gear like gold chips (9 incase you forgot something) Finishing up on postgame quests (the world spawns a few quests after you finish the game a first time around, esp for season pass holders).
Yup, always hate when people take something that is right in their face and cant even be bothered to actually read what it is or say it right. Like, the game just told you how to pronounce this character name or location and you manage to make up your own way of saying it??? 0/10
Well I definitely screwed up - should've done all of this before I started NG+
I used my override protocols to move rare blades over to Rex before I knew they were valuable or knew about master driver Rex... I feel stupid 😿

Since this comment is old, it's kind of late for a reply. However, what you did does come with an advantage. You can use all your rare blades from the beginning of the game and not have to wait until specific party members join in ng+ to use them.
You should add farming skill points!Remember that the drivers are gonna get a new affinity chart and the skills (at least the one showed with Nia) are going to be very expensive, im beating Kurodil to get 600 sp per round
How? Nia is my only driver with an incomplete chart. Last time I checked, I only got a measly 200......
still trying to get kos-mos before going into NG+, though i've been doing for days so i might give up on that thought soon.
They're called Dilaton chips, not dilation.
I'm still tryin to pull Kos-Mos out of a core, I've not finished the game yet either, I want to have all blades before I finish
The real question is ..Does "The Fiercest Fire" remain unlocked? Or do you have to do the quest for it again? Should you farm max Love Sources and or materials to make them before NG or is it already available and good to go in NG+
I gotta ask: What about the unreleasable Common Blade from Chapter 2? Do you have to resonate with THAT core crystal again in NG+? I hope they won't clog your inventory after repeated playthroughs.
Maybe it'll be possible to release him. He is so, so unbelievably useless. The only Blade I have that isn't a 3-Crown or above is him.

All I wanted to do, those were collect all blades and kill all supperbosses. I did all of that and now I am waiting for the NG+.

I also plan to play the game with English audio instead of the Japanese one for my NG+ playthrough, to make my experience different. Probably you can try that, too!
I nearly maxed out all of my blades. Just need to finish KOS-MOS and a Poppi(Tiger Tiger stuff).

The 50k points is the one I am stuck on.
Try to hunt for Tiger Tiger exclusive parts in level 5 - After playing it over and over to get 3 Master Tank Mods i got enough crystals to buy every upgrade, buy level V parts for all 3 version of Poppi and I still have over 120k crytals.
Kainos Teleos you don't need the hidden. In Stage 1, just getting every just chest, every ether crystal, and full health will give you a perfect bonus that will total over 50,000 points.

Even though I just got the game and i'm not done with the story. I plan on converting to new game+ with japanese on and challenge mode (whenever it comes out)
It's so hard to max affinity charts, attacking specific enemies is bull. Trust building is bull. Quest related stuff is cool. Rather do it on a second playthrough, as a sort of character focused playthrough, than fully complete it the first time around. Though at first I wanted to complete the game before starting ng+.
Luckily, merc missions will fill in almost all of the garbage nodes, so just send your rare blades with empty charts on those. Send a good team and you should get those nodes filled out while doing something interesting besides killing a super specific enemy that I'm never sure where to find. The only nodes you can't fill like that are UM fights, deal X damage in one hit and character specific stuff.
Trust building blows. Mashing the A button for a half hour to grind 9800 trust is not my idea of a good time
Hey thanks. This actually makes me wanna continue on with my completion run... or at least give it another attempt. I wasn't too certain which nodes were filled and which ones weren't with merc missions, knowing that makes it way simpler. thank you.

I just finished the normal game and didnt really do many sidequest most of the cities are only lvl 2-3 and i'm also only lvl 80 so should i just start ng+ or do some post game stuff

Ah that's easy. I have 437 hours logged. Wasted a lot of time just getting money. Farming legendary cores and selling them~
Steven Ruest thats probably the worst way of farming money ive ever heard, im sorry. Why not just salvage with premium cylinders + boreas/newt/praxis? And I finished all the charts, I think I got to 240 hours.
I find it more fun to farm super bosses than to salvage.
And I mean... did I really need more money? I had 14 million spare by the time I 100%'d the game. I've got around 300 million now. Just a way to kill time for me~
I avoided all subquests for the game so I can do all that for new game+

Since blades carry over, are you forced to equip a blade at the start before you get Pyra in the storyline?

I think in new game+ this game should have sold you overdrive protocols at a special shop.

Tyler Hess To put it frankly. Sort of yeah. You keep everything as per usual just like NG+ but just starts you again at the beginning. Pointless, but fun if you just want story stuff again, like say you missed a Cutscene for the third time by accident and rather not use the event theater, boom.

Got the game at the beginning of this month... Still working on affinity charts with a team roughly level 90. Recently farmed the crap out of Tiger! Tiger! and still have way more to do.
Good to know there are only 10 of whatever that item is. Won't be tackling endgame bosses until I finish setting up my team and hit max level.

From what I've read: Quests, Heart-to-Hearts, Skip Travel points, and cleared Merc Missions will be reset. Levels will stay as they are.

Charu002 I completed it a while ago and DAMN, it was such a pain in the ***. -_- I mean, it took me DAYS to unlock her full affinity chart. It's stupid how many times you have to do her merc missions. But at the end it was worth it. I love this blade :D
I'm in a bit of a pickle, I have the highest rank as a salvager and no one will sell me premium cylinders. While salvaging I noticed them selling the premiums before achieving the last rank and after speaking with the nopon the cylinders stopped appearing.
1:39 You HAD to show Adenine here? She's the one Rare Blade I don't have in my save, and I have been using Truth boosters since I was down to my last 3. The other two were KOS-MOS and Vale, and I got both of them on Truth booster Core Crystals. As an added bonus, most times I use a Core Crystal I see a silhouette I suspect of being Adenine, on account of how I only ever see it on on the first two flashes and how I only ever see it once in the sequence.

Riley Pearce boosters just weight it towards certain elements and better cores has better chances. Even still at that point it's your luck

No no, New Game+ is a mode that's unlocked after you beat the game.
After the update, you'll still have as much time as you like to play the game as you see fit.
My problem with NG+ is that you can’t copy/put it into a second file. Before this was released I have been working on all my heart-to-hearts and Sidequests, etc. I don’t want that to get erased but I want to use the Torna blades and play through the game with other buffs and fun attributes. I’m really upset that they did this because now I don’t think I will ever experience NG+

Do Ursula missions stay in ng+ even if you already finished her affinity chart?
But the side quests you've completed in the normal game, in the ng+ remain completed or not? Because I'm not sure to start a ng+ and repeat all the sub quests I've already done :)
the side quests are not completed in the ng+ if i remember right. If you click on Ng+ it gives u some info about the ng+ without starting the new game so check it if u want to know more lol

Do i need to beat the final boss again or is it just going to carry everything ive done via save. Also i heard of people accidentally starting a new save instead of a new save plus. Is there a drop down menu for it?

A costume option would be nice though. Would love to equip Pyra's cloak from Gormot or change Morag's outfit so we can see her without uniform.

That’s the one thing I think could easily be improved upon. having the outfits stay the same(with exception of a few characters) in all the cutscenes probably made it less demanding on the animators, and look less stupid than it did in the first Xenoblade Chronicles with too much of the outfit customization. A good balance of just maybe having a few presets so that you can change the look to a preference would be nice. Because Rex’s first outfit is god awful.

Anyone planning to release all your blades (or nearly all) before starting a new game+? For that matter would there be any type of benefit from doing that?
Cynicz13 Go ahead if you want, but I personally think that would be a waste. Considering theres new blades that can only be obtained by randomly pulling from crystals in New Game+, your only hurting your chances of getting them by releasing all of your rare blades since you’ll have to pull them again.

I cant get poppi's "growing up" heart to heart to show up i watched a million videos and looked all over the web to see what i might have missed to trigger it im in chapter 8. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Poppi alpha is my only max affinity blade but Poppi QT, Shulk, and Crossette are getting close

I don't remember quite, but I surely know having most rare blades already available. But some story relevants like poppis forms and *SPOILER* _nia's blade form_ has to be unlocked accordingly.
I think I could have used mythra even early game. I was onehitting everything at lvl 68 or so (the level i finished the game with)
Dont worry, you can also lower your own levels down by resting for a day, it will be explained very early.
