One detail about the lore that I find funny is that the nopon are no where to be found on the evolution tree that Klaus shows the party in Chapter 10. My head cannon is that the nopon are actually the saviorite rebels.
Nopon aren't in Xenosaga though (Saviorite is supposed to be the Salvators from that series), I suspect the Archsage is a constant representation of the Zohar's power if anything
There's an apparently obscure mechanic that I run into every now and then involving Pyra and Mythra. After gaining the ability to swap between Pyra and Mythra, if you are using Pyra and Rex gets to low HP, there's a (slim?) chance that Mythra will force herself in and refuse to switch back to Pyra for a a bit.
Crazy that she does that, I always thought of Mythra as a bit cowardly for swapping to Pyra when she got her ass handed to her by Jin. But I guess if it was _reliable_ instead of _obscure,_ then it truly would make no sense.
Yeah. With the best possible setup there's a 0.96% chance of pulling her out... Yikes. I painfully remember how hard it was for me to get her. I'm not joining if I say I got her after more than 400 legendary core crystals. I farmed so many times the Superboss in Gormot it was just ridiculous. In theory the common cores are about 5-10 times worse than legendary cores to get rare blades so congrats when that happened to you, there must be still players trying to get her after two years.
What was frustrating for me is that I spent maybe 20 hours grinding legendary cores, and then while I was using common core crystals to get common blades to turn into boosters and I was skipping the cutscene, I got Kos-Mos. Go figure!
13:50 WARNING: SAVE before attempting this glitch, as it can make your game crash. And you don't want to lose 4 hours+ of grinding to that (speaking from experience)

Main thing a lot of people don’t know is that Xenoblade 2 is a great game and is way more than just “bad voice acting” and “anime boobs”. Give it a try👍
@@jeh8944 Rex gets better as the game goes on. I feel he really shines in character interaction such as post battle banter and heart to hearts. I think the voice acting is pretty good. Not the best I've heard, but definitely not the worst
A small piece of background information I like is that the attack on the beanstalk just prior to Klaus' contact experiment with the Conduit (I don't think it's explicitly identified as a contact experiment anywhere but like ... it is lol) is being carried out by faction called the Salvators, which is the name of Yuriev's political party in Xenosaga.
I never played the previous Xeno games. I started with 2 and recently played DE. I have done some research into the lore of other games though. From my understanding the Conduit/Zohar is either A) A higher dimensional entity or object that is simultaneously existing throughout any number of timelines within the local multiverse. Allowing it to do seemingly impossible things by existing without time or being limited to 3, or even 4, dimensional space. Or B) Literally the God above all. Including the "Gods" seen in the games. I'm not sure theirs realistically a difference but I am sure that the only reason the 2 entities haven't been officially confirmed as being exactly the same is that it would cause legal issues.
Zohar is basically multiversal source of omnipotent energy yes. Its power allows for a lot of crazy things in all the games it appears in but it always acts as a door or gate to other things like the higher domain or other universes.
I think Xenoblade 2 has the best gacha system I've seen. It's a lot more in favor of the player considering you can manipulate your chances for something good. Also it's really easy to rack up core crystals. Your gonna be hitting the max amount of commons a few times.
What I really like about the conduit/zohar connection and the ontos/alvis connection is that monolith soft said “yeah we won’t say that the conduit is the zohar and that ontos is alvis but the conduit was found in africa and alvis does have a pretty cool new necklace in DE” (ok i know that they did call the conduit the zohar once but it’s more fun to think of it this way)
Wow, that pity group mistake actually made getting all the rare blades a way harder task than it was supposed to be. I guess this also explains why I'd always have to wait forever for Zeke to contribute to a blade combo. It's just a shame Rex's AI is too slow to ever use his Launch arts in time, and Tora's AI is unreliable in general.

Great video, the things about the battle system were pretty interesting (and helpful, since there wasn't much explained about damage bonuses in-game.) Bonus points for the Xenosaga music in the background!
This is incredibly interesting. Especially that first one with the gacha system in the game. It all makes sense why after Chapter 6 (excluding DLC) in my first playthrough, I never pulled a rare blade anymore. I had to have burned through around 50 common cores, 30 rare cores and about 10 legendary and still nothing.

KOS-MOS' pulling chance is crazy low. I was really lucky to get her as my 8th Rare Blade. Meanwhile, I'm on New Game Plus with over 400 used Core Crystals and still nothing about Vale.
Thanks for the disambiguation! I’m on my umpteenth playthrough and I didn’t know most of this! I knew Nia was being too hesitant to help me with Driver Combos. And i decided to farm for Sheba early before the Doughal fight ... well turns out having Dromarch and Sheba on Nia in that fight will completely screw up your healing ... because Nia refuses to swap to Dromarch if she can Blade combo with Sheba.
She also wont swap to Dromarch to initiate break ... so ... yeah you can guess how often i died in that fight just because of that.
I pulled KOS-MOS from a common core at the beginning of chapter 4, I screamed... Then my friend screamed at me cause she was jealous lol
Always enjoy your videos.
13:50 damn I wish I would have know that when I almost soft lock the game 2 days ago
Maybe Tora was given the 50/50 odds because devs knew he was the true protagonist and he needs to be played 😌. Because I love Driver Combos. So. Much. *heavy breathing* (seriously 🤣)
I feel so lucky for getting KOS-MOS from my very first Legendary on my very first playthrough
the probability system does my head in. I don't understand it (math eludes me) but I know that in 2 runs I've never got vale, kos-mos, floren, a couple of other rares. it's really frustrating as I've finished the game more than once but can't actually complete it. I love it tho 🤷🏼♀️
Well, that explains why I had so many "come on Tora, just do a goddamn driver combo" situations in my playthrough lmao
Xenosaga was originally meant to be 9 parts long, but due to an obvious lack of funding, we got a phenomenal first game, a lackluster second, and a decent third, all with a rushed story. Some ideas were scrapped and used for other xeno series games.
