I had games, movies, and music that I could carry anywhere at a time before anyone knew what a smartphone was. I recently got one again and it still holds up really well especially after jail breaking it. Now I’m on the hunt for a PS Vita as I never had one of those.
Hey i own a Vita, i recommend the Vita 3g 1000 model, it's the best you will get There is literally only one Playstation Vita which is Superior which is the Playstation Vita devkit I own a 1000 model and the key differences are OLED Screen and hall effect Joysticks for the 1000 model. For the Dev Kit you get USB Ports and One HDMI Out i think.
I run ppsspp and PS Emulator on my phone paired with an attached controller. And I've had so much fun playing PSP and PS2 classics on it. I could never dream of playing Xenosaga on the go back in the day. Man emulating is just awesome.
Will iPhone 13 run some of the PS2 games you're talking of?? I have it on my phone also but so far I've only added a bunch of PSP games and some PSP games featuring the PS2 assets?? Whatever that is supposed to mean? I thought having PS2 assets meant that in a game like GTA vice city stories, I would be able to have my right stick on my D8 as camera control but if it works that way, I've not figured out how to set it up yet in game unless you do it in the emulator? I'll admit I mostly use the PS1 emulator on my phone.... Hearing that you got PS2 games running on it, though peaks my interest for it all over again!!

I bought a PSP used from GameStop for about $200 back in 2008 and played the ever-loving shit out of it. DaVita came around 2012 off of Amazon used with the assassin's Creed liberation bundle. I recently jailbroke both of them and I am loving it. Granted the Vita is slightly more used than the PSP only because of the bigger screen but there is an emulator that you can get on the VITA that lets you play PSP games and also, a program that lets you download PSP and Vita games as well as PSN and PS3 games, but the fact that I have every single PSP/VITA game in my hand at the moment is freaking amazing.
Emulators are good for hardware you dont own or improved gfx sometimes... fun to play old games on pc or smartphone nowadayz. When i was young i loved arcade machines emulation with M.A.M.E. for example. I played a lot of team BeatEmUps over Internet in mid 2000s. But nothing beats an OG system feeling with OG haptic ❤️
I also never got a PSP in it's prime, but when I finally got one I was a bit disappointed in how small that thing is. It definitely looked bigger in magazines. It's a bit uncomfortable to hold.
The size was the first thing I noticed after finding my PSP after years lol. I think we're currently just very used to our phones being quite big, so the psp looks pretty small in comparison.

I was playing super nintendo on my psp back in highschool circa 2005. Kinda confused a lot of people. Nowadays the extra time feels scarce. And guilt always settles in when trying to to olay for 30 min knowing there are a million more things i should be doing.
It's quite funny seeing that you were so confused about it 7:09 I saw myself there for a bit (I don't remembered when it happened but it's been awhile) PPSSPP is one of the greatest emulator, what makes it even better is that you can even run it with any 4th Gen laptop or PC (maybe even lower but mine was Intel i5 4400) and still get a playable frame rate
so far the only game i saw it doesn't handle emulation well is Pursuit Force and PF Extreme Justice... it runs but when you have rail missions the cursor doesn't move to the end of the screen and enemies shoot you from there.
I had loads of fun with a psp back when I was in high school once I jailbroke it I had even more fun. Did not get to experience a psvita though I missed out on that one
I have a question because I haven't had a PSP since probably 2005: I do have a Vita and it is modded so I can play PSP games there is there any reason to play games on a PSP with a modded Vita, or is it sort of like not needing a DS because you have a modded 3DS with all the DS games on it? 17:42 Funny you say that, these days it's still not 90%, but chances are any PS3 or 360 game emulates well on even a fairly modest PC. Check out Xenia and RPCS3, you'd be surprised.
Hacked Vita rules ... I love the PSP always will , it's my favorite memories for a handheld system. That said , the Vita just plays THE PSP games so much better, especially shooters.

PSP is the Best portable console ever but unfortunately Sony had to try Nintendo Gimmick strategy with PS Vita what Sony should've done with PS Vita is just more powerful PSP with dual Tumbsticks and proper triggers that's it no gimmick no proprietary sd cards that would've been awesome but Sony missed their opportunity now portable PC consoles are awesome so even if Sony releases something like that without True Exclusives there's just no point in buying it

PSP emulator is great way better than that garbage ps2 emulator. Even after its fixes the ps2 emulator will always be garbage. One emulator I recommend to nobody.
oh boy you should see RPCS3 you need a high end pc to run most of the games, Ps2 emulator is really good it runs everything basically even on my mid range phone runs lots of games it works really good, psp emulator is way better but psp itself looks so bad at upscaled resolutions worse than ps2 because psp games has less graphics quality than ps2 which makes almost every game plasticy on psp if you go higher than native res

Fun fact, that PSP emulator is cable of doing wireless multiplayer with the actual PSP. It's even capable of doing multiplayer between PCs via wifi.
