Hello everyone! A smaller video for today, but hopefully it’s helped clear some things up about the difference between Carnivores on PC and mobile. Also, the mod installation video I mentioned in this video isn’t ready yet. It was supposed to go up with this one, but it’s not cooperating, so I’m working on it right now and should have it up later this weekend. Thanks as always guys, I appreciate you all!

Tbh, It's kinda weird that the ankylosaurus or stegosaurus isn't dangerous in the mobile version.
Actually, matter of fact you can mod mobile, by going into the OBB file. However, you can only mod the tatem animals, not the original Dino's like the spino or trex

I play mobile. I am a kid. I first discovered it when I was 4! I was really bad, but nonetheless, I loved it! I am 12 now and I still play it. Thank you for making this channel! I do have a suggestion, however. You should make a Discord!

I know this is controversial but... if the mobile ports had the PC controls and modding capabilities of the PC version of Carnivores, they would honestly be better. Putting nostalgia aside. There’s no reason to pick one of the original PC games compared to one of the mobile ports. Even if the new dinosaurs and islands are a bit meh. The graphic updates and the new dinosaurs do put them a step ahead
In terms of which one I play more and prefer right now, I play the mobile ports when I’m bored but not nearly as much as I used to. And have some other mobile games are play nowadays. So 90% of my playtime for Carnivores is consisted of the PC Version. And probably like 60% percent of that is JP Legends just by itself xd
I wouldn't say it's *that* controversial, IMO. I think it's pretty well accepted that IF the mobile ports had PC controls and modding capabilities, they would definitely be better than the originals. The reason they're not is... they don't have any of that. xD

P.S. The reason I thought it would be controversial is that some people despise the mobile ports and would probably consider it a sin to ever find enjoyment in it xd.

Carnivores Dinosaur Hunter was the first ever carnivores game I played. But unfortunately I prefer the PC because of consistent content
1. I'm currently sticking with the original PC releases of the original Carnivores games, and Cityscape.
2. Obviously, Cityscape is my favorite game in the entire series, for various reasons. Would you be interested in discussing that?
3. To be honest, the PC port of Dinosaur Hunter HD could be something I'd play, and upcoming Steam version of Carnivores 2 (Mobile) has the potential to be good.
Where can i download carnivores 1998 and 1999 on pc?
i want to play the carnivores pc games but i dont know if i can they are very old so downloding them is gona be hard and second problem is im computer it can landel jpog but it freeze and close the game so i dont if will do that whit carnivores (but im copy of jpog is pireted so i dont know if that) BUT I HOPE YOU ALL have a great day

If you have an android phone or tablet with an Intel chipset (unlikely these days) or an Intel based Chromebook, you can install Crossover from the Google Play store and install windows programs through that. Dosbox is also available for Android which may work.

But to be honest, I'm surprised people have asked about mods on phones. I wish it was possible but correct me if im wrong, I'm not a modder myself but i love the mods made especially from poarex (I'm aware I spelt his name wrong its been awhile since ive seen his name) but phones are incapable of mods because of their storage and the apps going through playstore compared to like websites or something and the processing power behind phones

Yeah, it honestly surprises me too how many people ask about it, but I believe you're right, there are so many obstacles in the way of modding on phones that it's pretty much impossible.

How do you play the pc port of these games? I specifically want 2 and Ice Age but I cannot for the love of me figure out where I download/buy it at.
In the Carnivores Saga Discord server, there is a dedicated channel to providing safe and up to date downloads for all the original games
I always appreciate a video of Saurian Target jaja you know, I have a problem when I wanna play the mods on Pc, there is like a graphical issues that started to happen with the last update of Carnivores +. When I put the Directx graphics and start the game its all buggy. It's odd because, like I said, it started with the last update of C+ but when it download the older version that used to play it has the same problem. I can upload a screenshot, so you can see the graphic bug. If someone someone know the solution or what is the problem I will appreciate, in the mean while I'm play the good old C1 (i don't the the C2 and the Ice Age).
Hmm... Well, I suppose if all else fails, if the older version still works, you can just drop the HUNTDAT folder from the new version into the old folder. There's nothing in the HUNTDAT folder that should affect your graphics.

I'm still hoping for a pan-ultimate Carnivores game in the future.
A game that combines the original trilogy (maps, weapons, gear, day/night times and animals) with some of the elements from iconic mods, like Carnvores+, Triassic, Genesis, etc. And revamp the menus for map and animal selection, such as first selecting a region you want to hunt in and then selecting the particular map from that region, and also break up the animal roster based on a region, such as Utahraptor and Velociraptor occupying different regions altogether. And add weather variations, from heat waves to storms/blizzards depending on a region. Bring back the mortal zones on the animals that can drop in animal in 1 hit, but also have overall hit points for animals over the rest of their bodies.
Update the models, animations and ai behaviors too, but keep the Burian-style, as it's characteristic of the franchise. Have some species more prone to herding together vs others, and the same with pack hunting, such as having some raptors try to flank you from the sides, while one or two try to charge you from the front. And add some variety in the kill/eating animations, such as a T-rex either thrashing you about when it kills you, or eating you outright.
Add dangerous ambient or lower tiered ai's like Pulmonoscorpius, with a venom sting that either requires quick field treatment (via special venom antidote) or emergency evac before a player dies. And add an actual HP bar for when taking damage from smaller threats like small Coelophysis, Pulmonoscorpius, or small juvenile animals, but still allow something like an adult Velociraptor to 1-shot a player like traditional done.
Expand the trophy gallery, to maybe a structure with multiple floors or stories, and be able to move out trophies from one floor to the other, such as positioning a Yeti next to a T-rex, like dedicating one wing to "Biggest & Baddest" carnivores.
Implement the point and cash system you mentioned in your Genesis video, where the points from a hunt go to your rank and grant you eligibility for access to certain maps, weapons and animals to hunt, but using that in-game cash system (not a micro-transaction) to purchase the actual licenses for a hunt, along with special supplies that may need replenishing, like med kits, bonus field kits, and special lures and deterrents (placing deterrents around kills or sedated animals to keep predators from exploiting an easy meal, and using scent lures for animals more attacked to scent than vocalizations, like large bugs).
Maybe add a special/bonus mission requests from Dino Hunt Corp's game wardens, scientists and researchers, with special prizes as rewards, such as large in-game cash bonuses to purchase more expensive licences and gear. Their missions could range from recovering a cache or artifacts from a site, neutralizing a particularly dangerous "man-eater" animals that are specifically targeting humans in the field (special ai behaviors needed for that), or helping the Wardens and Scientists with other tasks, like darting young animals that they need blood samples from or tagging them. Or perhaps you need to bag some Pulmonoscorpius or some other venomous creature to synthesize antidote upgrades from their venom?
Also have enforceable hunting rules too. Such as certain species/animals be restricted due to age or breeding sites, like a species could be breeding on a particular map, or if you come across a juvenile on a hunt, you can't kill it as a trophy, but you are still allowed to tranq it for points. But unauthorized kills can cost a player some point penalties when rules are violated.
And I've got some new ideas for the bonus "Legendary and Mythic Beasts" that can be unlocked in different regions. Bring back the Mantellodon, Thunder Bird, Yeti and Gojirasaurus, and add some special challenges around their hunts. These animals should be particularly rare on their maps, compared to the regular species, in addition to heightened senses to detect a player at ranges that a T-rex would be able to. And due to their rarity and evasiveness, perhaps Dino Hunt Corp hasn't been able to tag that many of certain species (the Mantellodon, Thunder Bird, and Yeti) so you might see a couple little dots on the radar, but there could be a few others active on the map that you don't see, so a player would have to be very alert and on their toes, in case they're right next to a Yeti that isn't tagged on the map.
Also, when hunting a Yeti, there should be active blizzards hammering the players during a hunt, obstructing vision and hearing a bit further, and maybe causing freeze penalties to the player, unless they've purchased special, protective suits with high thermal regulators installed in them. Also, the Yetis should employ more stealth tactics when they detect a hunter, then charge in like an angry chimp when they get within range of the hunter.
The Thunder Bird should be more of a min-Rodan than what the current mod has it set up as, with it aggressively diving at a player when it spots them, and capable of 1-shotting an unwary hunter in the open. And the Thunder Bird should be most prominent or at least at lower altitudes during thunder storms (hence "thunder bird"), like 100 - 400 feet off the ground or so, so that the players may actually spot them in the air.
The Gojirasaurus should be a unique case. Since they were engineered by Dino Hunt Corp for "unknown reasons", they lab bred specimens should all have tracking implants. However, the catch is that IF these creatures a somewhat radioactive or possess some caustic chemicals in their bodies, then that can cause some issues with their implants, where the signals can cut out intermittently, so if a player is not particularly observant, they could quickly lose track of an Gojirasaurs in an area, heightening the DANGER factor dramatically.
Just some new and refined ideas I've been having about what I'd love to see in a future Carnivores game.
I haven't played any Carnivores Mods but now that I have a new PC I might be able to.

I play android here and there, as i cannot get carnivores 2 on pc. Really wish i could, would love to play the mods for it tho. Only carnivores games i found was cd and my "gaming pc" dont have a cd-room smh

It is possible, the community has ported all the models, sounds, and animations. Some of them are available for standalone downloads on ModDB, I believe, and I am planning to add the mobile dinosaurs to my own PC mod, Carnivores Genesis

How can I get this on pc? Besides downloading it off of sketchy websites that 100% will give my pc malware? I don't want it for mods... I'm just really confused about how the game is different from the mobile versions. I want the games, And I wanna try carnivores 2 and the ice age version cause I've never even heard of carnivores 2. Do I have to buy the disc version from amazon, Ect?

I have a laptop, so I can play both pc and mobile. I prefer mobile mainly because I play my phone a crud ton more than I play my pc. So I end up playing more of the mobile than the pc. Although I have not played much of either lately...
