@@rholdcroft99the LG C3 42 inch from last is your best choice in that size plus you have better Red color over the C4. this year C4 Red is closer to the Blood Orange than a true color shade of Red.

YOU are right , i have an Old Woled from Panasonic 700 nits 10% (same as C8 or C9) and a alienware aw3423dw QD-Oled calibrated by Alienware and the difference in term or color is exaclty what you show ! But when i looked other comparasion from other youtubers i didin't see the same difference . I don't understand if they muted the QD_Oled or Boost the captation of the Woled .... They don't want to lose their business with all the Brands !!
Wow QT very impressed with this comparison. Spitting FACTS!!!! Love it! I have always loved Samsung and this validates why the differences are strikingly better! Thank you!
That has proved in the last couple years. QD-OLED has done very well and beating OLED even with MLA. QLED and QD-OLED is a must for tv. There are many positive of QLED/Triluminos/Nanocell and QD-OLED over old LED and OLED. That has proven many times that LG won't move an inch and improve at all for OLED. They only did improvement was MLA and that's about it.
C3 here with quantum c1 imitation settings plus a bit of green push, and it looks vibrant and good on the sony demo video but who knows maybe this setting comes with sacrifices in other areas.
WOLED has color filters. Color filters block 2/3 of the light. Qd-oled does not use color filters. The quantum dots CONVERT blue to green and red with extremely high efficiency. This is why qd-oled has 2-3 times brighter colors. No amount of processing can make up for this. Also, the light from qd-oled is much more pure than woled. Just take a look at the spectral power distribution readings from both technologies. This is why qd-oled can cover 90% bt2020.
No fiction to your point at all Quantum, 1:22 into the video or anyone who care's look at the oranges the depth, the tone, the rendition of color destroys this LG C4 another great video thanks for being blunt and honest in this review.
That's pretty much what I see on display at Best Buy . The C4 and B4 look washed out and lacking color vis a vis their brightness , meanwhile the S90D and S95D are vibrant and lifelike . Check mate .
LG’s store Demo . Alwys black /white/ BLUE / Dense green image . So has artificial way to boost the impression of Color density when in real content too much blue makes EVERYTHING dull ! 😮
Omg I went to store d other day n I think I took pics of some Lg demo. I came home looking at it it did look like orange 🍊. I forgot about that till seeing this 😮!
Ive had my QD oled monitor from Alienware AW3423DW in 2022 which was the First QD and its still amazing, QD has a brightness and pop to it that Can't be done on WOLED. I saw all the new OLEDs displayed at Bestbuy including the G4, QD is king Just got the S90D 55 can't wait to be blown away will support this channel to get those magical settings 👍
Problem with the C4 is the fact that it directly competes with the S90D in that price range. Unless you just love LG products then the S90D makes more sense. QD OLED > WOLED
If LG could allow us to lower or disable the white subpixel, we'd at least be able to choose between deciding whether to compromise brightness or compromise color. When spending $1,000 or more, I CAN'T accept undersaturated color! Undersaturated color is one of the reasons I upgraded from one laptop to another from February 2018 to July 2019, with the 2019 laptop being my daily driver as I watch this video.
If the white subpixel was disabled, the peak brightness would be 500 nits. That's for the G4. The C4 would probably be 2/3 of that. WOLED seriously needs to go. The amount of hype and praise the g4 gets is unhealthy imo.
Okay so can somebody please explain when low quality content smoothing matters? Apparently people's can tell on their samsung tvs, and im curious is it when watching Netflix, youtube, or watching my blu rays? Or is it just like when you have an antenna or cable box? Is it something to truly worry about?
@marfg12345 actually, there are a whole bunch of shows on dvd that haven't left dvd, and that's not even the issue because samsung 480p upscaling is on the same level as the lg. my question is/was what the hell is low quality content smoothing, because if that's basic streaming on disney Plus and TH-cam, then people say the quality takes a noticeable hit on samsung which is crazy for a tv at that price
I would say 480p content would really only happen if you were playing old gen consoles really or low refresh rates that are 24 really if you’re watching movies that’s usually the standard if you watch anything at 60 or higher you experience latency
It looks good on my CX. But the G4 makes my tv look old. Going to get a G4 later this year or early next year. The Samsung does look bright but it looks fake. If you want a tv that makes cartoons and anime pop then the Samsung is a good pick. If you want a more realistic look then the LG is better. I watch anime but I also watch a lot of shows and movies with real people so Im going with the G4.

Yeah the C4 out of the box comes washed out because it’s trying to provide more detail. I’ve fixed all modes Dolby, HDR, Std, game mode and it’s looks amazing, colors pop like crazy with immense 3d depth. Looks like a completely different TV when you release its full potential.

Sony kostet das doppelte und ist somit maßlos überteuert, S95D hat diesen matten Panel, ein No Go und S90D in europa bekommt nur den alten WOLED und keinen MLA Panel der du hier nicht erwähnst.
The matte finish only reduces contrast in a lit room which this is not. You not knowing that makes the rest of the video seem like you don’t really know what you’re talking about.
Who told you that? Get a digital microscope. Look at the pixels. Regardless of lighting, the coating hurts contrast/clarity. You have to work extremely hard to defeat this effect.
