There’s A LOT of talk about the cost of 3D printing in the community today... But what if I'm in a rush?
Well I'm going to try and answer that today. I've got one bottle of Elegoo resin, a printer, and a dream. I'm going to play a new game and I have 3 days to print a team for it.

I tried this painting technique for the first time today after watching this video. I did experience a bit of a learning curve but am happy with the end result even if it took a LOT longer than 20 minutes to get the job done. Thank you for the info!

DOOOD! Your painting is absolutely off the charts; 30 mins per fig like a frigging boss! I got a long history with filament printers (done some... serious stuff lol), but haven't printed anything in a few years. Recently got into 12" dolls (learned to use sewing machine, all that fun stuff) and was like: I bet resin printers are ready by now to help me make the tiny frigging accessories I need (ideally, would love to start some kind of biz)... this video was enormously helpful to get the feel for the TEMPO of the resin workflow. Many thanks. Also: best sponsor bumper segments ever/slick moves. Cheers from Vegas!

This video might be extremely valuable for me personally, because I did prime a whole lot of my miniatures with a grey spray, but then I bought some Citadel contrast paints and love them very much. BUT I figured you need to prime them in a lighter colour in order to work (for example, I got 20 Plague Bearers, I primed 10 of them grey and did nothing more, then I primed 10 more with Wraithbone, which is the reommended primer for contrast paints from Citadel, and painted them with Plague Bearer Flesh. It turned out niceley, but my concern is that the grey models won't look good when I just slap the same colour on them as well.) So this video might be the solution for a problem that I had (at least in my head).

How did the prints come out so perfectly that the wash and dry brushing doesn’t sink into and highlight layer lines? In fact, they look like there are no layer lines at all! Is this a Mars 3 thing?

    • @HellstormWargaming

Got my first printer up and going for under 400 Australian dollarydoos. Mono 4 k and 2 litres of resin. Wasted about 500grams because I was stubborn and didn’t dial in settings… final model count after 2 bottles and 9 months: 15 assorted dnd models in 32mm scale, a 10 man squad of odst, marines, 6 hunters and an elite from the hit game halo, 6 tyranids termagaunts, 20 ork shoota boys, a ghazgull proxy, 12 stormboyz, 3 meganobz and a big mek that’s unfortunately melting because of trapped resin. All in all very happy with my purchase.
