I've had my Sig556 for about 15 years. It's an amazing rifle. It loves 62GR ammo and I have fired thousands of rounds and on the range I get 2MOA or better even with Russki steel case ammo. I added the extended selector switch, which is the only thing needed improvement on this rifle. Easiest rifle to take down and clean.
AZ Trigger- Try the Scorpion Grip, it'll help with the selector reach and swing. And it's a Long Stroke Piston (Think AK-47 with the recoil spring wrapped around the op-rod), No Impingement. =D
I noticed your comment about your add on picatinny rail not facing straight forward. UTG makes a handguard picatinny mount that is tapered to solve that problem. ( MNT-HGR16S) #R16S model 4/15.
The rear sight is called a "Rotary Diopter Sight" SIG and HK use them quite frequently. But it's more of a European thing, so don't expect it on a US made carbine.....
@@aaroncabrera8949 in actual battle conditions for normal shooter placing a center mass shot on a bad guy with 3moa is putting said bad guy down. Oh ps don't forget that most shooting at bad guy's is not done from a table with sand bags. It's a great gun . I've owned since it came out. Aimpoint pro on top and she's good to go.
he says "ak", "impingement" and "blowback" none of which are applicable in any way to this rifle. Many AR's use piston driven actions, not just the AK, in fact... AK was late to the piston party as they had been around for a long time and the Germans made hundreds of thousands of various weapons with piston actions. The m16/m4 is the impingement queen, and not many other countries or platforms use direct gas impingement.
I owned one of these, worst experience of my life, Sig treated me like garbage. Had to send it back 4 times for major issues. Bad barrel at first they blamed me for not being a good shooter, replaced barrel. I would never buy another overpriced SIG product. Even when I got it back it still was junk

This rifle is designed to fire a heavier bullet. If you switch to a 62 grain or higher round you should see an improvement in accuracy.
Mine loves lake city 62 and ima is even better have done 1 Moa with IMi and I have old eyes....

Yeah, that was my thinking.
Because as we know, some rifles prefer certain bullet weights usually due to barrel twist rates.

I believe the barrel has a 1 in 9 twist rate, better suited for heavier bullets…

CassinoG mine has that version of flip up sight but it’s also an early version with the fixed stock
