When I saw the SIG rifle (platform) on the cover of Dutch guns magazine named SAM in the late eighties, maybe early nineties I instantly fell in love, and still am in love with this platform. You sir, just expressed how I felt when I shot a SIG 556 like 12 years ago. I would be a happier person on earth if I could have one of these. Thank you !
Man, just when I decided on a M1A CQC as my tactical rifle you show me this. Now I have yet another platform added to my list of things I need in my life.
The "real" SIG Swiss guns are outstanding. Good looking, durable, smooth shooting. I'm very happy to see you reviewing the genuine imported article. Sig-Sauer's dumbed down American versions (Sig-Sauer 556/556 SWAT/P556), on the other hand, started out as quality firearms but later deteriorated to poorly built crap in my personal experience. I had an early 556P which was outstanding and a later 556, which shed its top rail due to QC issues that should never have left the factory. Sig-Sauer couldn't fix the issues with my 556 and thought a 400 Tread was a fair replacement. I sold the Tread and the 556P and haven't bought a Sig-Sauer since. I'd still just about kill to get my hands on that 553P.
The movie was Miami Vice !!! With Jaime Fox and Colin Farrell well at least for me and I had to have it! I just got approved for my Sig 553 machine gun! So excited to shot it and call it mine! My number 1 bucket list gun.
I have a select fire SIG SG550 (long version) which i have used in my military service. Such a good rifle. It never jammed once and is so smooth to shoot. You can easily hit 300m targets with just the iron sights.
2:07 does anyone know what fricking effect this is? I've seen it a couple times before. At first I thought maybe it was an arm with a camera attached to the gun (pic rail) with the software removing the arm from the video, like those 360 cameras do. But maybe it's just a software effect? Looks tight though
De Niro uses a Sig 551 in Ronin awesome movie. Shootingsight makes a great tool steel very crisp trigger, it made a big difference in my 551. Also Matt Kreutz in Germany has a spring and travel bushing kit that eliminates over travel and reduces pull weight. I shot High Power with my 551 it was competitive too for a production military rifle. Those clear mags allow really long OAL hand loads that can really bring out the accuracy in that 55x platform. Mine shoots 55gr Hornady ballistic tips 1 MOA no problem. It dents up brass like no other platform but it doesn’t rain hot cartridges on the person next to you either which is really nice.
Out of all the videos that I've seen you do and I have never seen you. This excited about anything in any video at the range whatever you over the top on this. I'm glad you're happy I hope you get one.😂😂😊😊

I myself appreciated seeing you do a video on a rifle system that isn't readily available and rarely seen here in the U.S.
That looks like ridiculous fun!!!
I don't think I have ever seen such joy in any of your videos before. Definitely encouragement for getting one myself.
I've bought many guns and the main reason was aesthetics and absolute coolNESS!!
The pursuit of happiness. Your God given right 🇺🇸
Enter the CX4, PS90, RPK, Krink ect
I use to have one about 15 years ago. Thing was a beast. Hit hard times and my cousin still has it. Shot it about 6 months ago.
The first time I saw this weapon was in a videogame called M.A.G. for PS3. R-553 was the name of the weapon in the game & I love it. Battlefield 3 had it as well as SG553 & it was the weapon I most used. Hope someday I get to shoot one before I die.
I remember that game. I played it a lot as an undergraduate
Man... you're so much enjoying this gun, your enthusiasm is sparkling and makes me smile :)
Guess I have to get my hands on one of these bad boys too.
Thanks for the vid!
If I could only have one rifle? This is the one I would choose. Hands down. No question.
Hahaha like a kid in a candy store. I don't always like the weapons you review but I sure do appreciate your enthusiasm and giddyness when you shoot something that makes you happy we all get that way for sure
I regret like hell not getting one of these while they were inexpensive af compared to now if you can even find one . It legit is so sexy .
I dont know why people havent known about this. Its been in plenty of video games. it was in original counter strike. It was in some call of duties. And people were like "nah fam, gotta buy some bargain tier ar-15".
They have never been inexpensive. 😂 even the US made turd 556p was somewhat pricey.
Thank you !
The older Sig 556R in 7.62x39 is just as much fun!)
I've had a We the people holster for About 5 years. Love it💯
But, Colion, tell us how you really feel about this firearm.
yeah the joy was apparent
UUuuUUUhHHH
The Sig 552 has been my unicorn for 15 years and unfortunately ill never own one. But i agree with you, they are gorgeous and very cool rifles.
I'm seeing a beefed up MP5 with AK elements in it.
I noticed the resemblance 👍 I'm an hk fan.
Absolutely. I had to turn in my MP5SD3, but this'll do....
LOVE the SG550. Such a dream gun.
Colion Noir Make 'Em Say 3:01
Man, just when I decided on a M1A CQC as my tactical rifle you show me this. Now I have yet another platform added to my list of things I need in my life.
I just love seeing this smart, handsome man! Pew, pew!
😒
I have never seen a person so happy. Thank you for the posting.
You can easily hit 300m targets with just the iron sights.
one of the most aesthetically pleasing firearms in modern history IMO
Great gun.
Thank you Colion. Love your shows.
Mishaco has an in depth review of this gun. Good luck ever being able to afford one. 5k+
Its cool but not 5k cool
I am always geared in you keep me enthusiastic educated as a gun enthusiast 100%.
The sig platform is best expressed as the 20" variant. Its a killer 200~500 monster.
Owner of a modified Clasic 556. Great platform.
The first of the 500’s were built in the 1970’s and they are all great guns! They sell for $1500 to a few grand
Such a treat! Thanks for sharing the experience 🤙
2:07 does anyone know what fricking effect this is? I've seen it a couple times before. At first I thought maybe it was an arm with a camera attached to the gun (pic rail) with the software removing the arm from the video, like those 360 cameras do. But maybe it's just a software effect? Looks tight though
Pretty shure it is a blurred background and a cameraman walking with him.I agree it does look tight!
@@Cowboy_pilot I dunno, like it seems like the frame is "synced" with the movement of the gun. But yeah not sure.
@@clamum9648 I think it's a tracking effect where you point at something and make tge camera follow it exclusively.
Back when Sig still made good guns.
This isn’t Sig USA. The Sig that makes the SG55X platform has nothing to do with Sig Sauer. The company’s name is now San Swiss.
@@357stoitch7 That makes so much sense.
Stumbled onto your channel by accident, loved the energy and presentation!
But tell us Colion, do you like the gun or not?
Out of all the videos that I've seen you do and I have never seen you. This excited about anything in any video at the range whatever you over the top on this. I'm glad you're happy I hope you get one.😂😂😊😊
anything but the 556. rolex is not special
Oh MAN. This this thing is IT!! I've been looking for a dope polymer AR style AK for SOOOO long!!
👍👍
🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
You had way to much fun making this video. That's the joy of it. 👍
I need one. I love the Sig 551 series. Always have. First time I saw one was the Chevy Chase movie “Spies like us”
I love this rifle as well. Used in The Transporter and Bourne Identity. Always have. It’s like a CZ Scorpion with a little bit of HK UMP.
Awesome review 😊
Your enthusiasm makes me want to have one for myself
I'm just a fan of you putting out videos in long sleeves and gloves in that Waxahachie heat on a crushed asphalt range. You sir, are badass.
Colton, I have never seen you so giddy over any firearm like the way you are over the Sig 553P. That is are awesome firearm! Ken
