One Trick to Greatly Improve Turkey Egg Hatch Rates

How is it that I have a 95% hatch success rate and don't even observe incubator lockdown rules? Turns out there's one main reason that chicks and poults die just before hatching, and one simple trick to avoid it!

Yep I do that with all my eggs. I just hatched my first batch of turkey eggs 10 of 11 hatched.

but won't they get shrink wrapped when you take the egg out of the incubator before they hatch ?

I have not experienced any of my turkeys getting shrink wrapped by helping the bird get out of the egg. I have experienced them suffocating because they can't breathe or get out I do not believe in lockdown
