    Thanks for the video. I was messing around with this plane/system as well and seems that you have to consciously set the altitude floor with the ALT Select to allow the aircraft to keep descending on VNAV path. It makes sense from a flight safety standpoint in that it involves more pilot confirmation in the process. As a tip, makes sure the runway you are landing at has a vertical ILS (LOC) service; some don't (just have heading information), and you end up overflying the runway because it never descends. The G3000 expects that you have done your homework.

    I much prefer the G3000 to the G1000. Entering flight plans and adjusting crossing altitudes & crossing airspeeds is much easier and more intuitive. Fewer entries required.
    I’ll have to try using AP controlled V-NAV on the TBM 930. I’ve been using VS to manually descend on the V-NAV path.
    The TBM and the Vision Jet seem to have very similar flight characteristics, e.g. takeoff and approach speeds. On approach, the TBM flaps can be deployed as follows: TO at 178 KTS and Landing at 122 KTS according to the aircraft’s operating manual. The main difference between TBM and Vision Jet is the TBM has reverse thrust capability but not auto throttle. So in the TBM one has to manually adjust airspeeds and one can land on very short runways and even move backwards on the tarmac if a pushback tug is not available.

    Thanks for this. Trying to work out how to fly using GPS/ILS in the Cirrus Vision Jet. Really basic dumb question, though - how did you know, sitting at Southend, that you were going to need 27L at EGLL?

      It was just a runway I chose for that particular flight.

      @@Huddison Thanks. But presumably the sim ATC could refuse you that runway for landing, no?

      @@VHSRallies Yes they may, dependant on the active runway.
      This flight really wasn't concentrating on those aspects though.

    Thanks for this James. You will be my hero if you can do this with the GTNxi750 as well. I bought the GPS a few days ago, and have noticed in the couple of planes I have tried it with, it sort of covers up the manual AP button and knobs. So, for example I am not sure how to pre-set the altitudes, and there doesn't seem to the the FLC mode. I can get everything to work except the VNAV part of it.

    Hello, thanks for this video. I have the Vision Jet and a problem I wasn't able to solve yet. I create my flightplan in Simbrief, then load it in the sim. Usually the departure is already loaded but never the arrival, which makes sense. Now, on my way to the destination I want to select the appropriate arrival and approach, which I can, I select it and then LOAD, but as soon as I ACTIVATE it, the whole flight plan seems to disappear, at least on the map display, there is no magenta line anymore, and only the arrival that I selected. Why does it always delete the magenta line? Without this, I don't know what the exact route is anymore. Any ideas what would cause this or what I am doing wrong. Thanks for your help!

      If you activate the approach, it'll only give you that on your map and nothing else - just load it without activating and it should be added to your flight Plan.

    Is there a way one can turn off synthetic vision on the 2 Garmin PFDs to just be blue and brown (like it is in this video)?
    I don’t know, I personally find the synthetic vision distracting and looks better with just the default blue/brown.

      You should be able to do that in the PFD options; next time I fly the aircraft I'll take a look. In the meantime, our discord server will likely be of help with this.

    Have you tried setting a flight up on World Map? I got it to work rather well but I was gone for a week and there were a couple of updates and now it wants to overfly the destinations airport by 500 feet or so. Same flight, same departure and destination. It would even land itself before if I entered the bottom altitude. Cannot figure out what happened.

      Very simple short route, KSFZ, North Central State Airport to KBOS, Boston, Massachusetts about 18 minutes in the TBM. BOS arrival runway is 4R VNAV. Flying GPS approach low altitude airways. Interesting that the XBOX sim populates the altitudes in the flight plan nicely. I could dial in 100 ft as my final elevation after reaching cruise altitude and the TBM would take me on a perfect approach! I did this multiple times, but it stopped doing it for some reason.
