Enjoyed the video! I start my new job this week flying a TBM940 so it was cool to watch this. Always watch for those Hot and Hung starts! No need to apologize.
The brandnew TBM 940 with Autoland, dreammachine, this will be my most fav. Video for a long time. Thank You for the detailed startup with closeups of the screen and switches etc. !!!
Solid pre-flight planning and trip brief! All the Garmin G3000 panels are beautiful and layed out well. Man that TBM climbs like a home-sick angel! Pretty dreary day in Jersey, I hope you had a nice lunch/dinner lined up and a visit to Durrell's Jersey Zoo! Cheers, fun content, thanks for taking us along!
Thanks Jon, the G3000 is great and the logic is very similar to the G1000 which made the transition easier. The TBM is a great performer. I only spent 30 minutes is Jersey as I was picking up some friends for a further trip, but decided not to film that one! It wasn’t the best weather but I have seen it a lot worse on the island! 😄👍
I like the fact, that you are going into details. It takes more attention to watch the vid; but it is worth the effort. It is a kind of "familiarisation" with the TBM.👍
I have no real interest in flying, have no idea what he's talking about, and absolutely no idea what any of the screens mean, but have found myself binging the channel and thoroughly enjoying it. Bravo, matey. #LotBetterOnTop
First time I’ve heard proper English voices and British flight operations. Excellently done. I was thinking of Messerschmitts and Spitfires when I heard that London controller’s voice.
17:32 Saudia 112 flight 😄 I took this flight many times back and forth LHR to JED while studying in the UK, great video and flying skills tho and the TBM is an absolute beauty. Thanks for sharing!
Greetings Richard from California - Nice to get reacquainted with Jersey approach where I did my flight training with Jersey flying club - it appears considerable changes have occurred - GA is where the freight terminal used to be. The TBM940 is impressive - you should bring it to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2022. You will have a blast!
Hello Richard, I've watched literally thousands of hours of GA videos, yet this is the first video I've seen of yours. Everything about it is very nicely done. Camera angles, edits, audio, all top-notch and very engaging! My favorite part is your professionalism as PIC and obvious love for flying. Definitely a subscribe and ring the bell-worthy channel.
Funny, I was going to post the exact same message. Love vid times and equip details. however, begging your pardon, I am afraid I didnt quite catch the young ladies name?
very interesting and instructional. i am a power lineman in Canada looking to switch career and this kind of video is very interesting to know more about the reality of the routines of flying. Thank you for your efforts!
Thanks Chris, it's a great way to bring everyone in the loop with what each flight is about! Foreflight is a really good app for IFR flying if you ever get a chance to trial it. Best of luck with the IR!
Hey Richard, beautifully shot video! Excellent radio work and well executed flying. Watched it on the big screen with my son and he loves the DA42. Nice views. Keep these videos coming, we get some great entertainment. Take care and look forward to the next one! Cheers
Richard Till I checked I was unaware how close your airfield is to R'Worth, where I now live.I love follow your flights to see you show us all the great improvements in Avionics since the '70s. That's when I flew as PPL VMC with Twin rating.Operated out of LBA one of the worst airports for terrible weather. Landed at Elstree ,Denham.Leavesden. Northolt and **Heathrow. There used to be a gap for an hour AM & PM when prop aircraft were allowed in , our landing speed in the Cessna 310 because of following Big jet traffic had to be nearly the same as take off speed lol.** With special clearance
Hi Jeffery! Thanks so much for that! Avionics have taken a huge leap forward recently, especially so in GA. I still love to get back in an aircraft with a good six pack though, you feel like you have achieved more! Sounds amazing that Heathrow would allow smaller GA aircraft in, that would be a dream for most GA pilots these days!
Fantastic! As a virtual pilot Who started with the DA40, Then the DA62 I've just become type rated on the TBM930 and Love it! Looking forward to more Content from you Sir!
Richard been following your videos for a while now it was about time I passed you a comment. I think your videos are excellent. Great to see the professionalism in the cockpit and decent to hear good RT from yourself. Lovely A/C, even though the DA42 is a fab A/C to fly also.
Thanks so much James! It comments like yours which really make uploading content worth while! I'm really fortunate to be able to fly some really fun aircraft, and it's great to share my experience. More content to be uploaded shortly! Cheers, Rich 😁👍
