I am from the south of India and may I just say meghalaya is one of the most underrated gorgeous places in India. Amazing landscapes, Scenic routes, Great food etc… can live there for months and not get bored. My next fav and underrated place is Hampi in Karnataka. So surreal and historic 😍. I intend to eventually retire in one of these two places
There many unexplored and lesser known destinations exist in Karnataka State but Hampi is not Under Rated Destination. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most Popular Historical Heritages in Karnataka State and also in India visited by both foreigners and domestic tourists on regular basis.
@@sauravkumarchand9691 Saurab it is a UNESCO site but in terms of tourism it doesn’t attracted half of what the other sites in the north attracts in-terms of the number of people. Look at the tourism data FYI. It had more crowd in the past coz of hippie island etc but once the rules got stricter number of people also dropped. Within India for example a lot of people from the south visit the places in the north, north east etc compared to the people visiting from places down south. I am from Karnataka and I travel a lot within India and abroad. For the kind of beauty that the place is it shld attract a lot more crown given it’s rich history etc.

My father was in Military. So I spent and lived 2 years in Shillong, Meghalaya in my childhood. I absolutely adore Meghalaya's natural beauty and peace. And I miss it so much 🥺. I wish I could go back there once I get a chance and live back those beautiful and wonderful memories of People and Nature of Meghalaya. Love Meghalaya ❤❤
My hometown is very close to Meghalaya. Just a 3 hour drive away. I can tell you its one of the cleanest regions of India that you can visit. 100% safe. Awesome people. You can’t be bored of Meghalaya ever

I went to Meghalaya one year ago which was a wonderful experience... the people..the food... the scenic view.... I love going back there... It is just a surreal experience. Northeast is the most underrated and unexplored places in India..
The root bridges that you've seen in other videos before were definitely from meghalaya and not Assam

Visited Meghalaya last year, after the 'Break of Monsoon' in August, during one of those rare times when even Cherrapunji sees sunny days. And I could see the happiness in everyone's faces, seeing sunlight. Everybody was busy cleaning their houses, putting the blankets out to sun, as if preparing for some festival. And from the top of 'Seven sister falls', one could see the low-lying lands of Bangladesh, like upto 200 km inland into the country. It was one of the most stunning views I have ever seen. The entire country of Bangladesh was looking like a giant blue lagoon, after the monsoon floods.

The names in the whistling village came to be since the village lies in between hills and valleys and it was said that villagers found it much easier or convenient to call one another from accoss the hills using a sound rather than calling out a name... it is infact an imitation of animal calls heard around the forest .
I already said that u just imagine a beautiful place and you will find that place somewhere in India .....
But I feel if you want to experience the true magic of Meghalaya you must visit during the rains. The travel is difficult no doubt, but the beauty of the mist covered forests and mountains is so magical its almost otherworldly!
In Odisha also there are many beautiful places like North East state but those are unexplored due to naxalite activity😢..

Your Information is not entirely true. Only 6 Districts out of 30 Districts of Odisha State in India are critically high risk of Naxalite Terrorism and 6 districts located in Western and Southern Odisha Region-Bargarh District, Bolangir District, Kalahandi District, Kandhamal District, Malkangiri District, and Rayagada District.
I've traveled extensively in Malkangiri and Rayagada district and Naxal issue is extremely rare. There are gorgeous streams and waterfalls and greenery and hills. Go and explore nature there.
@@pratikmohapatra4906 Very Much True. But according to Ministry of Home Affairs Report 2021, 6 Districts in Odisha State have Naxal issue, it could be less due to passage of time.
@@sauravkumarchand9691 definitely, 1 or 2 of them are caught every three months or so. But trust me, you can easily go visit there. I fell in love with Koraput and Malkangiri first time I went there. And I've gone there multiple times. With friends, with family.. No issues there. Locals are very friendly too.

Yes I am from Meghalaya and it's really fun here, I have been to other parts of India and I have to say Meghalaya is way Calmer and Air is extremely clean, noise pollution is minimal and Trees are everywhere, it's fun
