I have a 3.0 extended battery bike that I love. Just crossed 600 mile mark . The bike came with mechanical brakes that were sub par, but Lectric at no charge sent upgrade hydraulic brakes replacement. The latest XP comes with hydraulic brakes. This bike is priced and built right. Enjoy!
Joey, This is the best review I have ever seen. I am on my second ebike and will be buying a 3.0 before the end of the year. I have probably watched over 50 reviews of all different ebikes in the last two years. I'll tell you why your review was so good. The tempo of your voice is just right some people go too fast or too slow. Not once did you use the words maybe, might be, probably is,could be, when describing the bikes features. Every, yes, every reviewer has used those words. What they are really saying is I don't know what I'm talking about. You didn't miss any features. You would say,"I like this feature because..." Your opinion matters. Anyone can read off the owner's manual. To Lectric: If you guys read this, Joey will be selling many of your ebikes after the potential buyers see this review...

I bought the first Lectric XP in 2020 have been commuting on it everyday since I have 2,700 miles on it just put new tires and brakes on it for under $100 if you do not own a car and do not have to go far get one

Thanks Joey. I bought the Lectric XP Trike for my wife. She loves it. So, I am a Lectric fan. I thought about the XP 3.0 for myself this spring, but bought an Aventon Pace instead. I thought it would fit easily in my CRV, but no, it was very difficult. So I had to buy a hitch and rack. An extra expense. However, my wife and I were able to put the XP Trike easily folded IN the car. I sort of wish I had the 3.0!
The XP Trike Folds Up? Whaaaat? Now that is Fresh! I always thought they were way too big! Maria Loves her XP 3.0! She can ride around on it for hours at a time!
I had a 2.0 step through that got stolen last year. Finally gave up hope that it will ever be found so just ordered the 3.0. The step through is amazing for people like me with back injuries that limit leg mobility
I have the 2.0 and it`s a good deal. A little more battery power and better brakes are my only complaints but it`s doable. The customer service is way better than any I`ve heard about.
We got the XP 3.0 step-thru white with long range 14ah 48v battery & comfort package improve seat with seat tube spring suspension :) It rides really nice, strong brakes easy to actuate, good power assist even on steep hills, good top speed, very efficient and on sale right now :)
Yeah i get some wierd brake sounds from time to time... i jyst wonder if it was just dirt getting on the pads.. because the noise comes and goes but over all we really like this model because it folds and its pretty light

Great review, we love ours! I would say though, and I’m putting on my mama hat right now…at any speed, let alone the speeds you were riding on the trail and past people, gravel on the sides, etc., where was your helmet? Ok, I said it, I’m everyone’s mom when it comes to saving your noggin. Also, we did upgrade our package to the “Comfort seat” and didn’t like them, not cushy enough. So we found some good wide gel ones on Amazon that we like. Ours are both step thru, I’m a girl and we are both seniors. But yeah, the 3.0 is an amazing Ebike!
I got two xp 3.0s with 14amp batteries and suspension seats. My wife had a little accident, and messed up both the shimano 7 gear switch and the display screen. I emailed Lectric about the problem, and they're sending me both of those items, free. Should be here layer today. Customer service is great and the xp 3.0 is a WINNER! People stare at the bikes. They're super cool!

Wow, I wonder how people are getting their bikes and parts so quickly. I waited 2 months for the bike after ordering and now i will wait 3 months for the replacement motor to be shipped out! I give their customer service a low score.

I tried a few days ago and they refused to make good on this even though my wife and I bought 2 XP 3.0s in January - obviously AFTER the company was in the process of re-designing the brakes to hydraulic - yet still no help. Lectric customer service was not at all helpful...sorry we bought Lectric brand.
I was hoping you would do a Lectric review. I ride my 3,0 every day...sometimes twice. It's like a bmx bike on steroids. Crashed mine a few weeks ago and only the chain came off. Barely walking it is my only exit out of the house now. The adjustable seat as well as handlebars are great as I am 360, 6 ft. It folds easy and fits in the back of my Mini coop. Thanks for the good breakdown on the specs. The hydraulics's are nice. Have a great ride!

So happy to see this review. I’m 6’2” and maybe a little heavier than you. I was worried about the bike not handling my weight. I bought it anyway and just got it. It feels super sturdy, but good to see someone around my size has had no problems with it
Great Review. I would add, the bucket /tote for transporting a folded bike, comes in really handy if you have more than one bike. So, agree you probably don't need it if its just one bike, but if you have 2 or want to fit other items in the vehicle at the same time, it can come in handy. I've also seen some great videos of people who use the tote to slide the bike up a ramp, so they don't have to really lift the bike, which is a great idea for those who might have trouble lifting the bike that high. They tilt the tote up, roll the bike in and rotate the tote back down, then slide it up something like a dog ramp into their vehicle.
Great review of the LECTRIC XP 3.0. My wife and I just purchased the Step Through XP 3.0 bikes and are very excited to get out on them and enjoy a ride.
Going back through all your reviews and I love that you test them in the same locations the same way. I do have some concerns on how you're testing the brakes on the ramps with railings. No helmet, no pads and no way of knowing if those brakes are going to work properly. I suggest marking out say a 1/4 mile somewhere flat and then test time, acceleration and braking distance. It would be safer, consistent and more accurate comparisons. Just some suggestions Joey. We do worry about you and would like to have you around years to come🤔😉👊
Great review, I just bought one the other day.. should be here in a few days. I've always been a dirt bike and motorcycle guy but I live in SWFL and theres nowhere to ride. All sand.. This thing I can take from my house to the beach and be there in 20 mins... amazing. These bikes are Fn everywhere here in Fort Myers Beach~
I wish the reviewer, and I've noticed this with almost all Lectric bike reviews, would set the display to show motor current instead of the odometer so we could see just how hard the motor is working in any given situation. When I ride my Lectric bike I always have the display showing me current so I can tell exactly how hard the bike is working.

On thier website, the motor is listed as a 1000. This bike sounds like the one I've been waiting for. It should fit in the trunk of my new accord sport
yeah its a 500w but max it can get is 1000w .. it runs on flat ground at 500w at least this one does that i reviewed... 1000W is a lot of motor for hills and off road biking but we stay on the bike paths.. im scared of flat tires Lol

i put a front hub ebike kit on a new K2 from sport mart over 10 years ago and wore my SLA batteries tires brakes and front shock totally out enjoying every moment of it! affordable ebikes are the best invention since bikes.
Vince' ya know.... we used to like riding regular bikes but we dont always have the energy after work to do it but ... e-bikes, we take out every evening... best invention since bikes' like you said 😃
72 lbs with battery is pretty heavy.. 65 lbs battery removed would be easier to lift.. You should see if that speed indication matches a GPS app speed. Could be off 2 mph. I believe there is another battery option to increase range a bit. Oh.. You mention it at the end. Good on ya✔
I just wish Lectric accepted PayPal. That way, I could get an XP 3.0 step-thru using my PayPal Credit account with its 6 months, no interest. Since I can't, I'll have to save up for about as many months before I can get one. As an alternative, I'm considering a Mokwheel Scoria, just because they DO accept PayPal. I like the Lectric ebike better though. I don't know why the company will not accept PayPal. Kinda sucks... bigtime.
Hello, Nightmare with Lectric XP 3.0. My bike came with a pre-popped rear tire, plus it won't start. I called and I asked about returning the bike when I spoke to someone on the phone shortly after receiving the bike. They did not mention that I only had 14 days to return the defective bike (not starting and flat rear tire). Instead of explaining the policy I was sent replacement parts which of course take time to get to me. By the time I received the replacement parts and installed them and the bike still doesn’t work I was past the 14 day period. Good customer service would have been to mention this policy to me when I asked about returning the bike. I have waited for over an hour just to talk with someone so I would expect to be given all the information I need after waiting so long. It appears that I may not have any option to return the bike at this point. It is completely impossible to send the bike back in it’s original packing materials per their policies on returns. You have to cut those materials off in order to unbox the bike. There is no way to remove it so that it would still be in tact. This policy is simply to make it more difficult to return defective products along with the completely arbitrary 14 day return policy. By sending me replacement parts and not mentioning this policy Lectric deprived me of my right to return the bike. Apparently I am not able to return my defective Lectric bike. Don't do it. Just don't. The Angryunboxer.
The Bike is still under the 1 year (2) year warranty correct? Yeah sadly it appears if things break .. The way of this online shopping now is to just send the parts out FREE Usually but we will need to find ways to fix it.. The better name brands like Lectric usually will get repaired by the bike shops because they have a Strong name in the industry and USA company.. It really sucks to hear you dealing with these issues. Because Lectric is usually know FOR EXCEPTIONAL customer service in these matters'

Takes over an hour to get them on the phone and don't seem to take my issues seriously. On their web site they say returns must take place within 2 weeks, must be returned with all of packaging which of course gets pretty much destroyed when unboxing. They said even if it's the battery that's the problem they won't replace that. When I asked about returning it they just re-directed the conversation and said they would send me replacement parts and of course start with the cheapest parts first which didn't fix anything. It's not been a good experience unfortunately. By the time I got the replacement parts, installed them and still wouldn't start the 2 weeks had past which kind of explains the stalling tactics. I'm sure they are trained to try and keep people from returning the product. Anyway. Thanks for listening!!

Hey Joey. Very nice video. You mentioned that you take that bike path every night to GVR Station. I have a question on where and how you lock/park your bike around town. I just got mine today and set-up was so easy. I expected a quality build but was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of this bike. The comfort of the ride was also surprising not having seat suspension. This is so much fun to ride and really fast so I will be taking a nice long ride tomorrow having the extended range bike.👍

I have a Hitway that looks like the Lectric just a crazier version. It’s great cause it fits in the back of my Mach E no problem. Might have to upgrade to this Lectric since the Hitway has less power and not really off-road.
What Himiway model do you have? Do you have a folding bike? That really was the selling point for us on this Lectric. and the 500w motor is plenty powerful ..
Great review! I just ordered one and plan to take it to deer camp this year. Should I worry about riding it in wet weather? When I park it in the woods, I plan to throw a tarp over it, but I am worried about to and from if it is raining! 😊
Joe I just bought my 3.0 step thru yesterday. I am living in lake chapala mexico. The bike shop strols here in town of ajijic was able to put the lectric 3.0 on the Gleason container shipment that they partner with for shipments out to mexico. Loved your review cannot wait to put it together and ride my 3.0 all over this town other villages . I got the upgrade comfort package suspension seat post and seat.. The gal at lectric explained thst it shoukd arrive in the box with comfort seat upgrade. I also got a rear basket. So ready to experience the cobble stones on the 3 inch tires in same parts of the villages and towns. I an glad there is a well paved path that goes for 80 miles plus . Jesus Nelson - are you serious? Why am I hearing this about customer service? When I searched out the reviews on Reddit and seen video reviews on youtube.. the users all were saying how Lectric really were so helpful.. They are based in USA right out of Phoenix.. If they are bad - Im terrified of the other companies that are exclusively online only and China based... And some of those bikes cost $1500-$3500 ...
Can't you get kits sent & have a nearby bike shop install? I think most shops now repair e bikes because they're so popular now. I know you shouldn't have to after spending $$$ on a ebike that should be safe, but better than wasting your bikes sitting or worrying about it unsafe.
Is this a paid ad? There are so many negatives about this model, and you only stated positives. The logo is not a sticker; That's a positive now? This is a bike for people that don't know anything about bikes.
Wondering is almost (exterior and el. System) identical Aipas A2 (Elite model as well) made as Lectric XP 3.0 from the same manufacturer? Only Aipas A2 Elite is a few hundreds cheaper than $1K XP 3.0.
In the US you can buy 20/3.00 tires. They refused to ship to EU. Stay away from it. Few manufactur them and they are out of stock. I had to buy a cheap 2 40 replacement, cracks on the sides anf explosive flat tires, causing the break off the rim. Buy 20/4.00 bike, Tires are accessible.
Really Amazon wont ship the 20x3.00? is it only an EU thing because im looking on Amazon and they have them available $37 per tire and inner tubes $16 - 2 day delivery to Las Vegas Prime - Joey

I'm 5'4 and need to commute 4 miles to work on mostly throttle. Some hills involved My current regular bike takes me 45 minutes to make it to work and I'm exhausted upon arrival Any recommendations?
I started with a Himiway and purchased the Lectric 3.0 what a disappointment this bike lack power and speed for days. I like the fact that fold easy and fit inside my van.
Hi D, I’ve been following electric 3.0 products for three years. Never own a Ebike which will be my first 3.0 and in my budget for fun. One question my wife keeps seeing about these battery fires and I try to explain it all to her. Can you ad use me the best way of caring for the battery. Not that it would happen but was think of flame proof covers and cases for the battery. Let me know your advise because I’m ready for the Ebike journey. Best and safe riding. Rob

Letting someone what side you are passing on is standard good trail manners. I’ve done that for over 30 years trailriding my horses.

Look for shinko 244 16" x 3" game changer. Motorcycle tires are sold by the rim size. They are a tight fit but DOT, last forever and amazing grip.

I got a XP 2.0 about a year ago, It did need to go to the bike shop for adjustment gears and brakes out of the box but pretty decent beyond that.
Yeah i get some wierd brake sounds from time to time... i jyst wonder if it was just dirt getting on the pads.. because the noise comes and goes but over all we really like this model because it folds and its pretty light
This is the best review of the dozen I"ve watched and bought one after seeing this, I'd like to see an Aluminum framed full suspended, non folding, without rear rack or fenders version for rougher terrain
Great review, we love ours! I would say though, and I’m putting on my mama hat right now…at any speed, let alone the speeds you were riding on the trail and past people, gravel on the sides, etc., where was your helmet? Ok, I said it, I’m everyone’s mom when it comes to saving your noggin. Also, we did upgrade our package to the “Comfort seat” and didn’t like them, not cushy enough. So we found some good wide gel ones on Amazon that we like. Ours are both step thru, I’m a girl and we are both seniors. But yeah, the 3.0 is an amazing Ebike!
I got two xp 3.0s with 14amp batteries and suspension seats.
My wife had a little accident, and messed up both the shimano 7 gear switch and the display screen. I emailed Lectric about the problem, and they're sending me both of those items, free. Should be here layer today.
Customer service is great and the xp 3.0 is a WINNER! People stare at the bikes. They're super cool!

Wow, I wonder how people are getting their bikes and parts so quickly. I waited 2 months for the bike after ordering and now i will wait 3 months for the replacement motor to be shipped out! I give their customer service a low score.

We were never notified about the offer. Unfortunately, Lectric is no longer honoring this offer. The mechanical brakes (even the ones sent via a recall) are still horrible - and unsafe. I tried a few days ago and they refused to make good on this even though my wife and I bought 2 XP 3.0s in January - obviously AFTER the company was in the process of re-designing the brakes to hydraulic - yet still no help. Lectric customer service was not at all helpful...sorry we bought Lectric brand.
I was hoping you would do a Lectric review. I ride my 3,0 every day...sometimes twice. It's like a bmx bike on steroids. Crashed mine a few weeks ago and only the chain came off. Barely walking it is my only exit out of the house now. The adjustable seat as well as handlebars are great as I am 360, 6 ft. It folds easy and fits in the back of my Mini coop. Thanks for the good breakdown on the specs. The hydraulics's are nice. Have a great ride!

So happy to see this review. I’m 6’2” and maybe a little heavier than you. I was worried about the bike not handling my weight. I bought it anyway and just got it. It feels super sturdy, but good to see someone around my size has had no problems with it
Great Review. I would add, the bucket /tote for transporting a folded bike, comes in really handy if you have more than one bike. So, agree you probably don't need it if its just one bike, but if you have 2 or want to fit other items in the vehicle at the same time, it can come in handy. I've also seen some great videos of people who use the tote to slide the bike up a ramp, so they don't have to really lift the bike, which is a great idea for those who might have trouble lifting the bike that high. They tilt the tote up, roll the bike in and rotate the tote back down, then slide it up something like a dog ramp into their vehicle.

Thanks for these reviews, Joey! I'm in the market for one, but there are so many out there now I don't know where to begin looking.
Going back through all your reviews and I love that you test them in the same locations the same way. I do have some concerns on how you're testing the brakes on the ramps with railings. No helmet, no pads and no way of knowing if those brakes are going to work properly. I suggest marking out say a 1/4 mile somewhere flat and then test time, acceleration and braking distance. It would be safer, consistent and more accurate comparisons. Just some suggestions Joey. We do worry about you and would like to have you around years to come🤔😉👊

Great review, I just bought one the other day.. should be here in a few days. I've always been a dirt bike and motorcycle guy but I live in SWFL and theres nowhere to ride. All sand.. This thing I can take from my house to the beach and be there in 20 mins... amazing. These bikes are Fn everywhere here in Fort Myers Beach~
I wish the reviewer, and I've noticed this with almost all Lectric bike reviews, would set the display to show motor current instead of the odometer so we could see just how hard the motor is working in any given situation. When I ride my Lectric bike I always have the display showing me current so I can tell exactly how hard the bike is working.

On thier website, the motor is listed as a 1000. This bike sounds like the one I've been waiting for. It should fit in the trunk of my new accord sport
yeah its a 500w but max it can get is 1000w .. it runs on flat ground at 500w at least this one does that i reviewed... 1000W is a lot of motor for hills and off road biking but we stay on the bike paths.. im scared of flat tires Lol

i put a front hub ebike kit on a new K2 from sport mart over 10 years ago and wore my SLA batteries tires brakes and front shock totally out enjoying every moment of it! affordable ebikes are the best invention since bikes.

72 lbs with battery is pretty heavy.. 65 lbs battery removed would be easier to lift.. You should see if that speed indication matches a GPS app speed. Could be off 2 mph. I believe there is another battery option to increase range a bit. Oh.. You mention it at the end. Good on ya✔

I just wish Lectric accepted PayPal. That way, I could get an XP 3.0 step-thru using my PayPal Credit account with its 6 months, no interest. Since I can't, I'll have to save up for about as many months before I can get one. As an alternative, I'm considering a Mokwheel Scoria, just because they DO accept PayPal. I like the Lectric ebike better though. I don't know why the company will not accept PayPal. Kinda sucks... bigtime.

Nightmare with Lectric XP 3.0. My bike came with a pre-popped rear tire, plus it won't start. I called and I asked about returning the bike when I spoke to someone on the phone shortly after receiving the bike. They did not mention that I only had 14 days to return the defective bike (not starting and flat rear tire). Instead of explaining the policy I was sent replacement parts which of course take time to get to me. By the time I received the replacement parts and installed them and the bike still doesn’t work I was past the 14 day period. Good customer service would have been to mention this policy to me when I asked about returning the bike. I have waited for over an hour just to talk with someone so I would expect to be given all the information I need after waiting so long. It appears that I may not have any option to return the bike at this point. It is completely impossible to send the bike back in it’s original packing materials per their policies on returns. You have to cut those materials off in order to unbox the bike. There is no way to remove it so that it would still be in tact. This policy is simply to make it more difficult to return defective products along with the completely arbitrary 14 day return policy. By sending me replacement parts and not mentioning this policy Lectric deprived me of my right to return the bike. Apparently I am not able to return my defective Lectric bike. Don't do it. Just don't. The Angryunboxer.
The Bike is still under the 1 year (2) year warranty correct? Yeah sadly it appears if things break .. The way of this online shopping now is to just send the parts out FREE Usually but we will need to find ways to fix it.. The better name brands like Lectric usually will get repaired by the bike shops because they have a Strong name in the industry and USA company.. It really sucks to hear you dealing with these issues. Because Lectric is usually know FOR EXCEPTIONAL customer service in these matters'

Takes over an hour to get them on the phone and don't seem to take my issues seriously. On their web site they say returns must take place within 2 weeks, must be returned with all of packaging which of course gets pretty much destroyed when unboxing. They said even if it's the battery that's the problem they won't replace that. When I asked about returning it they just re-directed the conversation and said they would send me replacement parts and of course start with the cheapest parts first which didn't fix anything. It's not been a good experience unfortunately. By the time I got the replacement parts, installed them and still wouldn't start the 2 weeks had past which kind of explains the stalling tactics. I'm sure they are trained to try and keep people from returning the product. Anyway. Thanks for listening!!

Hey Joey. Very nice video. You mentioned that you take that bike path every night to GVR Station. I have a question on where and how you lock/park your bike around town. I've been in Vegas since 92', so I know how theft can be here. Thanks for the review on bike. I'm still in the research stage of what to buy, & this video helped.
I just got mine today and set-up was so easy.
I expected a quality build but was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of this bike.
The comfort of the ride was also surprising not having seat suspension.
This is so much fun to ride and really fast so I will be taking a nice long ride tomorrow having the extended range bike.👍

The free hydraulic upgrade turned out to be cable, and said if i want hydraulic i would have to pay 245 bucks.
Are you serious? Did they explain why? If it is a recall on the cable brakes, why replace with cable brakes again? Are these upgraded brakes any better?

When you talk to warranty people they say we don't hande hydraulic. So when I called lectric they said I could buy it for 245+

Alot of ppl place them in those plastic sterilite tubs for transporting after folding
I have a Hitway that looks like the Lectric just a crazier version. It’s great cause it fits in the back of my Mach E no problem. Might have to upgrade to this Lectric since the Hitway has less power and not really off-road.
What Himiway model do you have? Do you have a folding bike? That really was the selling point for us on this Lectric. and the 500w motor is plenty powerful ..

Great review! I just ordered one and plan to take it to deer camp this year. Should I worry about riding it in wet weather? When I park it in the woods, I plan to throw a tarp over it, but I am worried about to and from if it is raining! 😊

Joe I just bought my 3.0 step thru yesterday. I am living in lake chapala mexico. The bike shop strols here in town of ajijic was able to put the lectric 3.0 on the Gleason container shipment that they partner with for shipments out to mexico.
Loved your review cannot wait to put it together and ride my 3.0 all over this town other villages . I got the upgrade comfort package suspension seat post and seat..
The gal at lectric explained thst it shoukd arrive in the box with comfort seat upgrade.
I also got a rear basket. So ready to experience the cobble stones on the 3 inch tires in same parts of the villages and towns. I an glad there is a well paved path that goes for 80 miles plus . Around the lake

Jesus Nelson - are you serious? Why am I hearing this about customer service? When I searched out the reviews on Reddit and seen video reviews on youtube.. the users all were saying how Lectric really were so helpful.. They are based in USA right out of Phoenix.. If they are bad - Im terrified of the other companies that are exclusively online only and China based... And some of those bikes cost $1500-$3500 ...
Can't you get kits sent & have a nearby bike shop install? I think most shops now repair e bikes because they're so popular now. I know you shouldn't have to after spending $$$ on a ebike that should be safe, but better than wasting your bikes sitting or worrying about it unsafe.

Is this a paid ad? There are so many negatives about this model, and you only stated positives. The logo is not a sticker; That's a positive now? This is a bike for people that don't know anything about bikes.

Wondering is almost (exterior and el. System) identical Aipas A2 (Elite model as well) made as Lectric XP 3.0 from the same manufacturer? Only Aipas A2 Elite is a few hundreds cheaper than $1K XP 3.0.

Yeah This one has the 500W motor and I normally say 500W is Average power and that the Minimum you should look at is 500W..
There is a battery upgrade available for $100, adds about another 33% of distance depending on what level assist is used
In the US you can buy 20/3.00 tires. They refused to ship to EU.
Stay away from it. Few manufactur them and they are out of stock. I had to buy a cheap 2 40 replacement, cracks on the sides anf explosive flat tires, causing the break off the rim. Buy 20/4.00 bike, Tires are accessible.
Really Amazon wont ship the 20x3.00? is it only an EU thing because im looking on Amazon and they have them available $37 per tire and inner tubes $16 - 2 day delivery to Las Vegas Prime - Joey

The high rise has a bigger clearance for the pedal by a couple of inches.

I started with a Himiway and purchased the Lectric 3.0 what a disappointment this bike lack power and speed for days. I like the fact that fold easy and fit inside my van.
They’re not too heavy for bike racks.
Can you purchase a back up battery for this bike? Also, if you’re out and battery dies, can you just peddle back?

I’ve been following electric 3.0 products for three years. Never own a Ebike which will be my first 3.0 and in my budget for fun. One question my wife keeps seeing about these battery fires and I try to explain it all to her. Can you ad use me the best way of caring for the battery. Not that it would happen but was think of flame proof covers and cases for the battery. Let me know your advise because I’m ready for the Ebike journey.
