Customer Service is been great. I agree with the key issue. This may be due to the battery. I agree with you about the pedals. They could make them a little wider for your foot. I just got mine and haven’t ridden it yet. I’m having difficulty getting on the bike comfortably and take off. I’m watching other videos to see how they are getting on and off. I’m short and have short legs. I will be 77 years old this week and I’m looking forward to riding.
I have a bad left leg. Ended up giving my 1st ebike to my taller family member. Brought the Lectric stepthru and for the size beautiful. Chang e d alot on my bike for me, but love it.
Great video for someone who just discovered the Lectric Bike a day ago…via TV. I like their video and this one. When decision is made I’ll get one for my wife and myself. I also appreciate your comment about the key location! While researching this bike I couldn’t figure out why they put the key at the bottom…wondered if I missed something.
My 3.0 is in the mail. I've watched countless videos about this bike over the years and finally pulled the plug the other night. Anyway this was one of the best reviews I watched. Thank you
You make me so happy I brought one. It arrives Jan 2. I was looking at Electric Bikes in Wally World. For not much more money Lectric gives very much more bike. With lots of great accessories. ❤
Lectric at the request of the Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling 45,000 3.0s for faulty brakes. They will give you $100 to have the calipers replaced. Does not apply to the newest version with hydraulic brakes. Owners are advised NOT to ride the bike until fixed.
Thanks for the information. I saw the report as well. I did get the version with the hydraulic brakes fortunately. I know Lectric will make it right for the customers.
@clydebarrow6701 congrats! Check and see if you have a large metal rotor in the center of the front wheel. If not then you don't have the hydraulic brakes.
Great, good luck in riding XP3.0. For everybody who is into e-bike I ride the very similar equipped and sturdy AiPas A2 Elite which is $300-400 cheaper and as good and lighter 60 pounds
I got the 3.0 last November with the Black Friday deal. I got the upgrade kit from Lectric and am very happy with them for that. Keeping my 2.0 for company to use and it's been nice to have that also. May go with the handle bar and short stem package that David brand new has on his website.
Might have to get one soon. My commute to work and back is just under 10mi. With a couple of inclined hills both ways. I pay about $25/day for Uber to get to work. This would pay for itself in about 3 weeks.
I just got my Electric Ebike today. I sure wish they had included a hard copy manual. I had to just fake thru unboxing and set up. Then on one of the Warning cards was the website to get a manual and see some videos. It arrived but there is a broken metal part in the bottom of the box. So I'll have to contact Customer Service as I don't see anything that appears to be sheared off...well, so far. I was surprised to see the key in the bottom of the battery area! What the devil! So tomorrow, I move it to the garage and pump up the tires and play with it. And try to find out what's with that broken metal part...
Great review. Mine just arrived today. The biggest problem I had with assembly was that the chain was not attached. I had to attach it. Got it tangled and had to remove the rear wheel to get it sorted out. Every unboxing video I have seen, including yours, has it attached. Most of all, I totally agree with you on the key placement. I get that the battery is locked using the same key, but for the sake of turning the bike on and off, why not put it somewhere more accessible?
I am with you about the key! Also want an entergrated break AND blinker. I already changer my 2.0 brakes to 180mm hydraulic brakes. Thats my stuff. Would like the 750 watt motor option also.
I just bought my third Lectric XP. Unboxed it yesterday. I have the 1.0, 2.0 & a brand new 3.0. I just discovered that it seems that the throttle power on my 3.0 is tied to whatever PAS setting I'm on. The lower PAS, the lower amount of power available to the throttle. My 1.0 & 2.0 are full throttle in PAS 1 and all the others PAS. Can you confirm this to be true? If I can't change this setting, it's a deal breaker for me. I've sent email to customer service about this issue. I'm hoping it can be changed. Thank you.
Hey, thanks for making this video. It was really really really helpful especially when you took us on the ride with you and you narrated the whole thing that was extremely helpful for me because I can tell from your experience that I would have a similar experience; my question is do you ever regret getting the normal battery instead of the extended range battery Because I like the $999 price!
@@enea3820 Thanks for watching. Yeah, the normal battery works for me good, but I don't use it as much as some other people. So if you're going to use it quite often.I would recommend getting the extended battery.
Best review for this bike. All the other I watched are skinny pizza delivery boys or paid ebike influencers. more info next time. How far on charge? you said 280lb? How tall are you. Im looking at their cargo or this one. im big and tall 300lb 6,7'' thanks for the review.
280 lbs. 5'10" tall. Range will vary depending on which pedal Assist you use mostly. In PA level 5 expect around 15 miles. PA level 1 expect around 42 miles.
I have been looking at these for a few days now. I am a full time Rver and been noticing e-bikes, including the "Lectric". Did you get the standard battery or the long range ? It was nice that you mentioned your weight, since I'm half the man you are. I am short and only weigh 125 to 130 pounds.
3.0 already ? - lol guess i will have to quit looking at my 2.0 and finish putting air in the tires and take her for a spin.. 2 years i stored it .. i am 67 soon.. i better get to it !
@SunriseWaterMedia I believe it's called the power module something like that. Makes a big difference in my opinion for overall control and feel especially around turns.
Re: Slippery Pedals. Buy a pair of soft rubber walking shoes like Sketchers and your problem will be solved. I too found it annoying and difficult to pedal hard without my feet slipping until I switched to Sketchers.
@@edrone_ It might be worse with your sneakers. As you mentioned the pedal size might be part of issue for you. I wear a size 8.5 so the pedals are fine for me. PS. Excellent review. I also fly drones and have the XP 2.0. You'll find that bike will take you to so many more places to fly.
@gimpman1357 thank you. I wear size 12 that may be a factor. I appreciate your feedback. That's awesome! I definitely am planning on traveling close with this for sure.
If you unlock level 3 the battery life is reduced significantly. They do make extended battery that would be more appropriate for using level 3 more often.
@@edrone_You can’t go by the battery indicator - you need to switch the display to show the volts - that’s the only accurate gauge for your current battery level.

Nice bike. I’m watching you ride. As you are riding you are blowing through one stop sign after another. Not a good example for your patrons watching this video. Don’t feel too bad I criticize everyone who does this on bike demo videos. Think about it.
Sad you are not following the rules of the road by riding on the wrong side of the road. When driving a car i hate when people ride against traffic. So much more dangerous.
It is safer for the rider of a bicycle to ride facing the traffic so as to see if a motor vehicle is heading in there direction to avoid a possible collision. If your riding with your back to traffic you will never see that danger coming.
@edrone_ rules according to drivers manual is bikes ride with the traffic. Against traffic besides against the law is more dangerous. A head on collision is more dangerous to both car and rider, especially rider. Whether one agrees or not, rules there for a reason.

@@edrone_ I did, thanks.

Very cool that it folds down. Is the pedal assist dependent on your pedaling speed, or is that just on or off regardless of how hard you're pedaling?
The pedal Assist will increase with each level you choose and it will ramp up as you increase pedaling so it's a gradual increase vs all at once.
