      Did you have any issues with customer service? Russ did. It wasn’t pleasant at all.

    Hi! Hey I had the same thing happen on my Xpeak. Step through. We bought the piece that was recommended for fixing the wobble and it worked great. No more wobble even at 32 mph on gravel. Really stiffened up the bike. The PAS stopping was a huge problem for me as well. We disconnected the back break and the issue has been solved. Lectric is sending a whole new brake assembly. We’ll see if that solves the issue. Maybe it won’t. I have a very handy husband who can install. I’ll update here on how that goes and if the issue is solved. He has the Xpeak that you have and has never had any of these issues. We are knocking on wood because other than mine flaking out like yours it’s bee a super fun bike.

    Exactly!!! Why do we have to buy a stem doohickey to fix the issue!! You are so right brother!

      Just added tannus tire inserts that lectric has on their website and it makes the wobble much worse.

      if you have the original XPeak, I would put up a fuss and get Lectric to send you the new XPeak... that first one was a flawed design and they knew it from the start- they only sold it 8 months before coming up with the new Xpeak which resolved the issue

    Joe, any status update on Russ' XPEAK ebike? Did Russ get a new XPeak? It sounded like he was waiting for a box?? Lectric has since come out with a new model of the XPEAK, with a new frame that resolves the wobbling issue.

    • @Getawaymemories
      @Getawaymemories  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@EBikeBuilder_ The status is that because of Lectric giving him a run around he rebuilt the frame and fixed it.

    obviously the brakes are disc brakes so how would that stop the throttle? Common sense id just go to the settings on the display with the controller and make sure it's full charged it's just a battery and a controller hooked to a hub motor so these guys wouldn't do well with a engine just saying

  • @Getawaymemories

    Seems to me that Lectric knows they a making a crappy bike. They just don’t want to fix the problem.

    I'm really sorry to say this, but these are no offroad bikes. Even the RST is nothing to make a big deal out of, but they do. At the end these are 1399$ bikes with cheap frames and super cheap components. Your problem with speed whobbling is a very common problem with step thru bikes. Some do better, some worse. But the problem here is, there goes no real engeneering into these bikes. They have to be cheap to made, thats all.

    There is a great solution for the wobble, but what bothers me is that they are now speaking to the TH-cam that found the solution and meeting with him at their office in Arizona

      I talked to Russ and he told me that he can fix it. The customer service there is not good.

    I hate to tell you this but you need to spend a lot more money than $1500.00 for a quality electric bike. A decent electric bike starts around $3200.00. Trek makes a decent electric bike, Riese and Muller from Germany or the Gazelle brand I bought from Holland that cost $5000.00 . The bikes I mentioned are sold and serviced across the USA at quality bike shops. The bikes I mentioned use the best bike parts on market and have the best quality control in their manufacturing processes. Two of the best batteries on the market are Bosch and Panasonic. The best motor is Bosch by far. Both will raise the price on any electric bike but will give you years of great performance.

      not true man. Aventon and nomad both have great options and lectric is good to imo although they do have some qc issues and the step thru is not a good option.

    • @Benjamin_Jehne
      @Benjamin_Jehne 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@funnyfish9360 It is true. The problem with US customer is, that they don't know much about bikes. There are some enthusiast who really know the market like everywhere but the bike-culture isn't the same like in Europe. Most companies here in Europe are engeneering their bikes from the scrach (same for the quality US brands like Cannondale etc.). Thats a fundamental difference to what Aventon, Rad, Lectric etc are doing. They take generic chinese bikes and customise them. They are more or less just retailers, they're not manufactures like here in Europe.
      The thing is, to build a good bike you need the know how, endless testing and good components, something there is no time for when the bike is 1399$. I like the Aventon bikes, but even these are just cheap frames with cheap components. I would like to have them here in Europe, but maybe they where shocked about the RadPowerBikes adventure to Europe. You will go bankrupt when you try to sell these bikes under a 2 year EU warranty.

    • @funnyfish9360
      @funnyfish9360 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ I understand your points, but most people don’t wanna spend tons of money on a “ cannondale or trek etc…. I still think these cheaper bikes are good value for money. I have nearly 1000 miles on my lectric. I would have more if it wasn’t winter time right now .
