      Thank you for your comment! Yes, to get everything together is difficult because of the availability of the RTX 3080. It is a desaster. I just got lucky and got one from an official online retailer just because I checked the shop website at the right time. 10 minutes later all cards were sold.

    Awesome time laps! I’m really itching to transplant my internals from my meshify c over to the h510 elite but I’m worried about thermals. I have the MSI 3090 ventus and 3800x.

    • @Stephan-sPCCorner
      @Stephan-sPCCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Harlowe E,
      thank you! Yes, i can understand your concerns.
      My CPU temperature is really good and GPU between 68-74°C without Raytracing. With raytracing a little bit higher but the card works well over hours.
      As far as i know does the 3090 not fit in the h510 elite when you mount a radiator in the front. With my 3080 it is really close to the radiator. So i think the 3090 would only fit without radiator. If you’re thinking about to change your case from meshify c to the h510 elite, you should better check this before.

      Hi Wildan Pratama, thanks for your comment!
      For the aio I‘m using the fans from the case.
      That’s right, the fan cables going to the led/fan controller. You just need to install CAM Software from NZXT and then you can customize your fan speed or rgb colors from the fans. Did you try that?

    Nice build! Your choice of hardware is almost similar to mine..just wondering how did you manage to get the msi gaming trio rtx3080 in the nzxt h510 elite? I've checked with nzxt official website..the clearance for gpu is 368.6mm without front radiator installed and up to 313.6mm with front radiator installed. The msi gaming x trio rtx3080 is 323mm in the official website. Mind to share some info with me?

      Yes, according to the official information the card shouldn’t fit. But as you can see in the video i had no problems to install the card.
      I think the manufacturer information is correct but we don’t know exactly from where the official length begins and ends. Maybe this is the reason and the manufacturer let a little bit leeway.
      I have in the middle of the card ~30mm left to the radiator and ~24mm left to the radiator frames. So it’s close but it fits.

    Really nice and clean build, but is the radiator not mounted upside down? And why didnt you chose an cpu from 5th gen?

    • @Stephan-sPCCorner
      @Stephan-sPCCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Tobi, thank you!
      It depends on the case you have. There are cases on the market where can mount the radiator in the front and cases where you mount it on the upside. My case is made for frontside.
      Why did i not choose a 5th gen CPU?
      First thing: it is still impossible to get a ryzen 5th gen CPU. Those who got one had a lot of luck. After release, all were immediately sold. So, it is the same desaster like the latest GPU releases with RTX3000 and RX6000. It is still almost impossible to get one of those GPUs if you don‘t want to pay the double price.
      The other thing is, the pice for a 5th gen AMD CPU is for my taste still too expensive. A 5900x costs 669€(~810$) and a 3900x costs 399€ (~480$) and is in my opinion the best price/performance ratio. And to pay ~40% more for a bit more CPU performance is disproportionate.
      You have to know that the 3rd gen is the direct previous model of this CPU series. The 4th gen was only a mobile series for Notebooks.

      @Jayzha:
      Good question. I don’t know. The 3070 has the same length like the 3080. According to the official information these cards shouldn’t fit.
      We don’t know exactly from where the official length begins and ends. Maybe this is the reason and the manufacturer let a little bit leeway for bigger cards or to get better airflow.
      I have in the middle of the card ~30mm left to the radiator and ~24mm left to the radiator frames. So it’s close but it fits. These are certainly not the best airflow conditions but i customized all my fans and got quite good values.

  • @twice2823

    you know positioning of liquid cooler radiator actually affect cooling, I saw videos that the radiator should be positioned upside down for better cooling performance

    • @Stephan-sPCCorner
      @Stephan-sPCCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I saw also videos and it was really interesting to see. Gamers Nexus has shown how the liquid is working in which position.
      But i don’t think that I’m going to change the position. I guess it would be very difficult because of the pipelines and the GPU. There is too less space and wouldn’t look nice i think. So i let my build how it is. My temperature values are fine, so if you’re happy and everything works fine, never change a running system haha 😄... at least not yet.

    Hi, I know this is very late but I was wondering how the aio has been performing for you in this orientation? Do you notice any noise or gurgling? I know there's a gamer nexus video saying you should position it tubes down but it seems like the majority has it the same way you have it set up.

    • @Stephan-sPCCorner
      @Stephan-sPCCorner  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Gloria,
      yes, i know the gamers nexus video and a lot of people say that my aio orientation is wrong. I don't entirely share this opinion. First thing is that NZXT itself shows this mount orientation in their manual and pc cases officially. So when the manufacturer shows it this way it can’t be absolutely wrong. But this topic seems to be the subject of discussions again and again.
      My experience:
      I‘m using it this way in my current PC since almost 1,5 years and i can not notice any disturbing noises or gurgling. Only when i set my cooling performance in NZXT CAM software to the highest level, then you hear some quiet buzzing but my case fans are much louder than the aio on high performance and the whole cooling system itself is basically quite loud on the highest performance mode. But it’s okay when you play with headphones. I use the cooling level always on standard settings and have no noises from my aio.
      I think it depends also on the aio brand/manufacturer. Before i had the Kraken Z63 i’ve tested a asus ROG aio in same orientation and the noise and gurgling was absolutely terrible! And before that i used a Kraken X62 aio in same orientation for 3 years and had never any noises… and this old x62 is still in use in another system now since 5 years and works still fine without any noise. I also built a system with the Kraken M22 (the smallest aio with only one fan) again in this orientation and have no noises. So, my personal conclusion: I always made the best experience with NZXT Kraken AiOs and had never any noises or problems.
      It is certainly the better way to mount upside down but the other way is also fine when you have a good aio. I think if you’re planning to buy a cheap AiO you will probably have noises in this direction and you should better try the way upside down. But you can also try both directions to see how good it works.

    • @Stephan-sPCCorner
      @Stephan-sPCCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for for comment. I think it will work but i don’t know how good the cooling in the founders edition works.
      What i can tell about my experience:
      At the beginning my GPU temperature was higher (between 78-83°C) but then i adjusted the GPU fans individual with MSI-Afterburner and got up to 10°C less than before! In games like Cyberpunk on Ultra Settings and Assassins Creed Valhalla the GPU runs smooth with 70-74°C.
      It would probably helps you to customize your gpu fans as well for gaming.
      For the case fans i‘m using CAM software from nzxt, there you have different profiles. When i gonna play something i switch to performance mode and get a better airflow.

      The fans have rgb input/output cables and connectors. You have to connect the first cable with the output plug in to the control hub LED1). The other side of the cable (with the input plug) into the first fan. And then you go on with the next cable. The output plug of the second cable in the output connector of the first fan. Then the input plug in the second fan. And like this you go on to connect all your fans in daisy chain. The rgb cables are not for power supply. For that you have different powercables. Finally the LED2 slot in the hub is still empty and you can connect a light strip if you have.

    • @Stephan-sPCCorner
      @Stephan-sPCCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes that’s correct and there are probably better cases on the market. But i think it depends also on what cooling system you have and how you use it. AiO or Air only. My CPU for example has always good temperatures. Between 55-65°C (in Games, like Cyberpunk 2077 or AC Valhalla). The GPU temperature was higher at the beginning but then i adjusted the GPU fans individual and got 10°C less than before! In Cyberpunk on Ultra Settings with raytracing the GPU runs smooth with 68-70°C.
      So actually i have good temperature values but i had to customize my fan control a little bit. I can only say that i get good temperatures because of customizing the fans. For the rgb fans I’m using the CAM software from nzxt. In games i use the performance mode, so i get better airflow. For standard applications and windows stuff a low fan speed is sufficient, then i switch to silent mode.
      The GPU has 3 fans and i customized the fan control with msi after burner and have really good results in games. But I think it depends also on the cooling system from your GPU. The msi x trio with 3 fans is quite good.

      With NZXT CAM you‘ll probably not able to control this fan because it‘s no NZXT fan... You may need to use another fan control software. This is a big disadvantage in the CAM Software and from NZXT, in my opinion.

    How are the temperatures for gpu and cpu considering how minimal the airflow is with the case?

    • @Stephan-sPCCorner
      @Stephan-sPCCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Erin Nunez,
      probably the thermal performance and airflow is in bigger cases better but i could'nt see any bigger differences yet. I think it depends also on what cooling system you use. AiO or Air only. My CPU for example has always good temperatures. Between 55-65°C (in Games, like Cyberpunk 2077 or AC Valhalla). The GPU temperature was higher but then i adjusted the GPU fans individual and got 10°C less than before!
In games i set the configuration to performance, so i get better airflow.
      So finally i would say, yes there better cases but with the right parts and cooling systems you’re able to decrease the temperatures to a good level.

    • @Stephan-sPCCorner
      @Stephan-sPCCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sedeous,
      i think it depends on your parts and the power of your fans as well. There are certainly cases with better airflow on the market but my temperature values are actually fine. CPU is under full load between 55-65°C, always! So i think the X53 is a good choice as AiO. The GPU is between 68-74°C when you play games in High/Ultra, like AC Valhalla or the card is under full load. But i have to set the fan configuration to „performance“ mode. If not the GPU temperature raises up to 78°C. Still ok but close to 80°C and a little bit high.
      So for games i use always the performance configuration, then the temperatures are good. For standard applications and windows stuff a low fan speed is sufficient. I use „silent mode“ with CAM from NZXT and the temperatures are really good for standard apps.
      I‘m currently also testing the temperatures by switching the fans off so that CPU and GPU are cooled passive and the PC is absolutely silent. It is a nice function but i‘m still not sure if the system works fine over a few hours with windows stuff.

      Hi Manuel x,
      which parts are too high in your case? GPU?CPU? Or both?
      I play on 1440p (21:9 screen), sometimes in 4k on my TV. Depends on the game. So my temperatures are good, CPU is really good, always between 55-65°C. GPU 68-74°C. With Ray Tracing on in Cyberpunk 2077 on Ultra actually a bit higher. But you can not expect low temperatures while playing the newest high end games with ray tracing in wqhd or 4k (like Cyberpunk 2077, AC Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion) when you bring your card to the performance limit. Maybe a few degrees less, with better case and a watercooling system for the graphicscard as well.
      So my conclusion is: My CPU is always good. GPU sometimes a bit high, but working fine, also over hours.

    • @Stephan-sPCCorner
      @Stephan-sPCCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Manuel x,
      i think another case would not bring you the effect you want. Because of the Mini version of this card you have already more space and should have a good airflow.
      The other thing is, if the card has a bad factory cooling system and getting quite hot, you can not expect to compensate the high temperature or expect a miracle by using a case with better airflow. You may get angry with a new case because it does not bring you the effect you want.
      So if you are able to test your parts in a bigger case with better airflow, you should do this first to see if the results are like you expect.
      A last thing is, the GTX 1070Ti is not able to use ray tracing and to play Cyberpunk 2077 on Ultra in 1440p. Ray tracing is available with RTX cards but not GTX.

      So, this is really only a suggestion or an example for what is possible with your budget. There are of course much more possibilities with other pc parts. For example with Intel CPUs or AMD graphics cards.
      CPU: RYZEN 3700X ~ £285,-
      Mainboard: ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS ~ £145,-
      RAM: G.Skill DIMM 32 GB DDR4-3200 Kit ~ £120,-

      PSU: Corsair CX750 750W ~ £85,-
      Case: be quiet! PURE BASE 500 Window Red ~ £ 70,-
      Cooling for CPU: NZXT Kraken X53 ~ £118,-
      Graphicscard: MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti VENTUS 3X OC ~ £520

      Did you connect the chained rgb cables with LED1 in the hub?

      Okay it seems everything is correct. Then it’s a good idea to reconnect everything and try LED1.
      If this don’t work it might be possible that the pins in the LED1 or LED2 connectors are bent back so that the plug don’t reach the pins by putting in. In this case you need to open the hub, check the pins and bend them back.

    • @Stephan-sPCCorner
      @Stephan-sPCCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Nina g,
      The AiO is directly connected with the motherboard. The fans have rgb input/output cables. You have to connect the first cable with the output plug in the control hub. The other side of the cable (with the input plug) into the first fan. And then you go on with the next cable. The output plug in the output connector of the first fan und the input plug in the second fan. Then you go on to connect all your fans you want to use in a chain. The rgb cables are not for power supply. For the powersupply you have different powercables. It is a lot cable stuff and a little bit frickly.

My rear fan is plugged into Fan 1 on the smart hub. The top case fan is plugged into Fan 2 on the hub and the front 2 fans are plugged into Fan 3 using a chain connector. @Stephan-sPCCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Luxey,
      thank you for your comment!
      Hmm that Sounds weird. Maybe i have a guess. Did you try to change the connectors already? LED Strip plug in to LED2 and the fans plug in to LED1 one?
      Once i had similar issue because all my RGB lights from the fans were not on. But the problem was not the cable, it was the LED1 connector in the hub. The inside pins in the connector from LED1 (where you plug in the cable) were bent back and the plug from the cable had no contact with the pins. So i opened the small hub-case to get a better view and saw that the pins on the hub-board were definitely bent back. Then i took a small screwdriver and bent the pins carefully back to the front where you plug in the rgb cable.
      After that everything was working fine and all rgb lights were on.
      Maybe this could be the problem. Try to open the hub and take a look inside were the connector pins are.

    • @Stephan-sPCCorner
      @Stephan-sPCCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi El Capitan,
      probably the thermal performance and airflow is in bigger cases better but i could'nt see any bigger differences yet. I think it depends also on what cooling system you use. My CPU for example has always good temperatures. Between 55-65°C (in Games, like Cyberpunk 2077 or AC Valhalla). The GPU temperature was higher but then i adjusted the GPU fans individual and got 10°C less than before! In Cyberpunk on Ultra Settings with raytracing the GPU runs smooth with 68-70°C.
      So actually i have good temperature values but i had to customize my fan control a little bit.
      So finally i would say, yes there better cases but with the right parts and cooling systems you’re able to decrease the temperatures to a good level.

    • @Stephan-sPCCorner
      @Stephan-sPCCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The dark rock 4 pro is definitely a good cooler for cpu. Maybe you get better airflow in this case when you use this cooler and also because you have no radiator in the front and it will be certainly a good solution. I personally have no direct experience with this cooler in this case because I’m using AiOs since a couple of years and has always been satisfied with the cooling performance so far.
      I can only say that i get good temperatures because of customizing the fans. For the rgb fans I’m using the CAM software from nzxt. In games i set the configuration to performance, so i get better airflow.
      So if you thinking about to buy the H510 Elite, I guess you have to customize your case fans and gpu fans as well to get good airflow and temperature results.

      It seems that there are bubbles in the pump. Did you try to mount the radiator upside down?

      @@Stephan-sPCCorner nzxt kraken x53. I have my radiator mounted on the front just like the vid and it even shows it like that on the krakens box. So if theres air in it will mounting it upside down fix it or is it “ruined” forever? Its honestly not a huge deal because my headphones block out the sound but also is it bad for the pump to have air bubbles?

      Good question, I never tried to the mount upside down way. Maybe another thing what you can try: Do you use the newest CAM software from nzxt? If not, install it. There go to the „cooling“ settings and choose at the AiO pump. There change the option to „quiet“ and the configuration for temperature to „liquid“. At the beginning with my current system i had some quiet noises and after i changed it to the option „quiet“ and „liquid“ all noises were away. I can’t explain what in the pump happened but it worked... noises were away and CPU temperature still really good. And you can also save the profile, so if you need more performance and sounds don’t care you, you can create a performance-profile and for windows stuff a silent-profile. Maybe that helps, try it first before you gonna change the mounting direction.

      Hello Ahmad,
      thank you for your comment!
      I have actually good values in this case.
      But the thermal performance and airflow is in bigger cases better anyway.
      So i think it depends also on what cooling system you use. My CPU for example has always good temperatures. Between 55-65°C (in Games, like Cyberpunk 2077 or AC Valhalla). The GPU temperature was at the beginning higher but then i adjusted the GPU fans individual and got 10°C less than before! In Cyberpunk on Ultra Settings with raytracing the GPU runs smooth with 68-72°C.
      So actually i have good temperature values but i had to customize my fan control a little bit.

      I guess 400mm. The AiO tubes have a length about 400mm. So it must be the same length.
