Dr Berg also mentioned this briefly in one of his videos. There's also a global coherence app that has people all over the world participate in prayer, mediation or good deeds. Sharing Dr Berg notes!
Being in fight-or-flight mode, having elevated cortisol and adrenaline for a long period, isn’t healthy.
Chronic stress has been known to negatively affect the body in many ways, including:
    • Shrinking your grey matter
    • Shrinking your thymus gland
    • Creating muscle atrophy
    • Decreasing testosterone
    • Running the body on sugar (even when you’re not eating sugar)
    • Disrupting healthy digestion
    • Reducing quality sleep
Chronic worry and stress can also lead to ulcers, inflammation, and disease.
An interesting study measured 39 people’s cortisol levels before and after a 45-minute art therapy session. This study found a significant reduction of cortisol in participants.
I have found that hobbies are a fantastic way to stop the fixation on stress and move your attention to something more positive.
    Thank you Dr Berg!🐱👍🏿

Take time to learn something new everyday. Take time for yourself everyday, even if it's just 15 minutes praying or sipping peppermint tea, walking barefoot in the yard etc. (Of course, exercise & diet choices, but just make healthier choices over time, & it'll just become part of who you are, instead of the pressure of a 'diet' regimen.) ✌️ You can learn tricks for in the moment pressure events you can't avoid, like putting your face in cold water/ or ice pack across forehead to upper lip. i just like to share with everyone how I lower my stress levels. It’s helping other people (not just yourself) and doing some good deeds here and their. If you tend to think of yourself (be selfish) more then others it creates more stress and cortisol. Also leave your screen and technology behind and walk in a park or be with nature.

I've known and felt this for a long time, and I truly believe this is why art and creation has existed almost as long as modern humans have. It's one of those things that really just makes us happy, and feel accomplished. Musicians, painters, game makers, unless they are overworked and doing it only for profit, are typically happy people who are satsfied with themselves.

But over the years to combat that I have tried various methods for calming myself and being creative has always been the most relieving. I would use puffy paint and paint and design my girls sweat shirts when they were small. Learn to embroider. Simply coloring or painting or sewing on a project.

Dr. Berg; you are speaking facts!
The 3 biggest enemies of my health for the past 20 years has been:
    Asthma, Sugar, and Stress!
Believe it or not; I finally cut out Sugar since November 1st of this year(2023) due to your scary/educating videos on the dangers of sugar!
Yet I feel like a addict going through Withdrawal!
    Asthma is still nagging me!
Stress is unavoidable due to my unfavorable financial situation, loss of my late daughter and my late wife, and my late dog!
I am like a living, sad old country song!
Not trying to be the fake version of a feel sorry for me, Hallmark sympathy card!
Unfortunately Stress is so unavoidable especially when you are not in the best of physical, mental, emotional, and psychological health!

You said something really important that people never address when it comes to stress. There are situations and periods in our lives when the environment we find ourselves is super toxic and there's no quick and easy way out. Exercise, meditation, walking helps for a brief moment but when the stress in continues it's hard. What needs to change is the way how world functions. It needs to be more human friendly if we're supposed to live our lives with less stress. Because right now it's zero human friendly and it doesn't look like it's going to get better. We can work on ourselves but we still need to function within the systems that are toxic as hell.

I can totally relate. 5 1/2 years ago my mom who lived with us passed and within a month my daughters family of 4 at the time and 5 dogs lost their home and came to live in our house on our dairy farm. That has caused me huge stresses over the years and with that came lots of physical pain. We live very differently, I only ask they do not clutter up outside and mow the lawn, needless to say it was their struggle and my thorn. Having added 2 more children ages 1, 5, 9 & 10 I love them all, but would trade the parents in a second lol... I guess I never did anything right... anyway, it took a toll on my body daily, since being diagnosed last winter with t2d I did keto cold turkey, figured my way through it, lost 60 pounds, eating all grass fed no sugar and very low carb, I must say I feel so much better physically & mentally... my stress level is going to be reduced drastically because today is "moving day" yay.... it will be good for all of us! Thank you for all of your great information, it is so appreciated!

I'm surrounded in my workroom by the things I love to do. Even when I was still in the work force, at night I would work on some kind of project. It's a wonderful way to relax and you're doing things that bring joy. At those times I feel stress about something, I go and create rather than letting things fester and in no time, I'm back to feeling calm again.

Knitting is fabulous! I also do bead work with jewelry when I can. One of the best helpers for me mentally when I can't do those things is telling myself: "Is this my problem? Have my actions caused any issues with the stimuli in front of me (usually someone who is upset)? Have I directly impacted that person to assist in their emotional turmoil?" Since we can only control ourselves and while we THINK we've affected someone else's emotions, in reality humans only react to the stimuli that's presented to them going by how they were raised as children up to that present moment. So if they get triggered, that response usually isn't a correlation between me; it's their own insecurities that majorly impact their emotions.
