Agreed. But LDAC has to be licensed from Sony so that can be a hinderance for many manufacturers.

the automatic turn on and off function after assembly does not work, factory reset from the application and reset of holding the volume up button for 20 seconds did not help. I can turn the headphones off with the glowing button, but then they only turn on when I plug in the USB C cable, which means I apply some current. do you know the solution?

Great review, I really enjoy these headphones, love the clarity and separation of sound and the nice punchy base. The benefit that these have that most bluetooth headphones don’t have is that you can also listen to them wired, with an dac/amp and listen to HIFI music with them. I use them with Amazon HD app when I want to listen to HiFi music with close end headphones. I love them.

El Jefe, love your work/style bruh. Question, regards to the battery for the Momentum wireless 3 after it is fully charged does it lose its charge say for example over night? Cause I had the sennheiser ear buds and had a bad experience due to the battery losing its charge when not in use and ended up returning them. Dont get me wrong I love the quality, build and sound but for the battery to lose its charge was a deal breaker and for the price I paid it was a disappointment.
Agreed. I had the same issue with my Momentum TWS. I haven’t experienced any battery loss with these.

I would take the Taotronics 46 over the 47. I may review the Skullcandy Cassette. Not sure yet.

Agreed. The Panda are on a whole other level of sound quality though. Different type of sound. These are dynamic. The Panda have a much more natural sound.

I'm fully aware this is sort of an apples to orange comparison but how do these compare with massdrop x that you recently reviewed? In that video you said the sound coming out of those were like watching movies on a 4k HDR TV whereas Bluetooth audio gear had only outdated CRT resolution. Given the momentum 3s come in at $400, going along with your analogy, do you think these at least can produce 720p entry level picture quality?

I would say these would give you somewhere in the 720p to 1080p depending on how good your source audio is. Like FLAC files of Tidal Master quality tracks.
@@ELJefeReviews that's so great to hear. Now that most people have made the transition to Bluetooth, I think it's high time companies paid more attention to sound quality. I won't expect wireless products to achieve parity with their wired counterparts any time soon, but it's something to hope for at least in this premium price range.
Agreed. It’s up to us to demand better. I hope the Drop THX Panda Wireless are a huge success. This way the other companies take notice and do more to push the technology forward.
I was thinking when you're going to review a good ANC headset and there you go. You can always trust a Sennheiser. The HD 4.40 BT is amazing and my favorite. The Sennheiser momentum is no slouch and looks amazing.

I have the Dali io4, i should of waited for Panda, these do sound unique and great different sounds on each headphone cup.
Is there a huge audio quality difference between the lagoons ? They are in the same price range but I prefer the build quality on the momentum 3 more
Huge? No. But noticeably different tuning.

I understand, what music platform your using,? I have Apple Music and Spotify, but I find that with Apple Music sounds much louder and closer than Spotify.

I have always liked Sennheiser headphones, for me their tuning is pretty much on the money. Is it me or did the microphones sound better when you were outside? I have to say if I had the money I would get these in a heartbeat.

Absolutely. The only headphones I prefer over the Lagoons are the AirPods Max and the Drop THX Panda. Both of which are substantially more expensive.

Beyer isn't a household name when it comes to the wireless consumer market the way Sennheiser, Sony, and Bose are. They are much more known for their professional monitoring and studio headphones.

I don't. I wasn't impressed by any of Mixcder's previous products. I prefer TaoTronics and Mpow for budget headphones.

i woudl buy them, if they werent 400 dollars. Also, i upgraded my lypertek tevi with the app. The upgrade itself actually added more warmth and punch to the bass. Of course, you can always go into the eq and adjust it to how you like. Also, I changed the 2 click to be track and the 3 click to be volume.

What if someone looking for alternative to exactly those ones. Just returned them about month ago. They seems really good, but in fact they heavy as hell. 300+ gramms. After just a half day at office in them i got headache. Every time. So after a week of trying to enjoy but getting headache, i returned them. Really sad, because in fact those headphones are one of the best sound in over-ear-ANC class.
Beyerdynamic Lagoon ANC for sound. Sony WH1000XM3 for light weight.
I have the Momentum 3's and they have an issue just turning off during a song. They just randomly power off and then back on. I'm using them with an iPhone 10 and it took the latest firmware with no problem. I'm most likely sending mine back. I love Sennheiser but this is an issue I can't live with.
You should definitely send them back. Mine do no do this at all.

Jeff may snag these, but a key question: I know bc sounds subjective, but flossy reviewed it as blow you away, natural style bass and great volume. But another reviewer's opinion, was it wasn't good for bass and not very loud, and just not that special. So got kinda lost on Stark different reviews. What would you say, more like flossy, great natural bass almost too much he said?
Definitely more like Flossy. Especially based on the type of music you listen to. Whoever said these aren't loud or lack bass needs to return his headphones for exchange.
The other person probably got some bad pairs. You can literally feel the bass even with the out of the box sound.

What's good, so being 17hr battery, can the usb c come in handy vs others by providing a short charge while being plugged into a note9 for power and say they die on Bluetooth , can the 2.5 to 3.5 power them u?p

Why does Sennheiser have such a hard time with batteries and battery life that's the main complaint I hear about the Momentum earbuds. Maybe they should get together with Anker. There's just no excuse for this coming from a company like this...😎 Love your videos great job as always thank you.💯

If the Bose sound signature is last one on your list it means the real music is the last one as well.
Sony has an amplified, bass heavy, artificial sound signature, nowhere near to a real, original track, typical fun sound signature but very fake.
Bose has way more clarity and detail in their sound however they have a neutral sound signature which could be boring for some untrained ears.
Thanks for sharing your opinion. It's about preference. Both Sony and Bose are at the bottom of my list. You should check out the Drop + THX Panda when they arrive later this year. Those put all of these headphones to shame. Especially the Bose and Sony.
Best sound but ugly and heavy. Nothing beats the sound of these and I own B&0 h9i, tried Master & Dynaminc and the older MHD1 and M2. My only complaint is I don’t use them as often as I would bc they are too heavy and cumbersome. I get Sennheiser wanted to accommodate all the people with giant ears complaining the ear ups on previous versions were too small but really they went the extreme and put hubcaps on these things. The ear ups are ridiculous and need to be redesigned. They look stupid and are heavy.
Thanks for sharing. I personally don't care how they look. I can't see them while I'm wearing them and I don't care about what strangers think. So long as they sound good and are comfortable I'm good. However, I do agree they are a bit on the heavy side. It became an issue for me a few days ago after about 3-4 hours.
