edit: Jev if you see this just so you know there are 10 remembrance bosses but there is a really cool boss called bayle that is not a remembrance boss but it gives 500k runes and it's as hard as the final boss of the DLC.

Bayle is S tier but he is not as hard as the final boss or mesmer he might be third hardest tho

if you do the o mother emote next to the statue that gave you the scaduetree fragment ( to the right of the back gate grace ) it opens up the top right of the map. the emote is located in bonny village.
Next to an odd looking tree near the edge of a cliff in that village too if u read this Jev

@Dead51012 He's on a new game/"first playthrough" so he isn't really getting one but people on ng+3-7 are all fighting the bosses at a higher strenght level so they are doing more damage to those players including me
I had level 14 when I did the putresence fight and was getting one shot by the fire so I understand a bit where their coming from
@@kaijukorner5302 well, ng+ dlc has always been absolutely wild. However, one shot is crazy lol. They just tweaked some stuff in a patch, so maybe it's better now? Gonna start ng+ soon ans speedrun to the dlc so I'll probably be tasting my own medicine soon hahaha

If you go right instead of straight at the grace you started at, there is a hidden path that is activated by a gesture that unlocks an entire area of the game. That unlocks the top right side of map.

Gaius is genuinely the only truly broken boss in this game. Currently the main way ive read beat him and what i personally used was the feather talisman. Those extra i frames are vital especially with this overtuned boss.

Jev for fights like that you can switch to more healing flasks since you’re not using lions claw
Idk if you'll see this but a tip is to switch back to regular Lion's Claw, not only is the first hit faster, but it also does more stance damage unlike Savage Lion's Claw which requires both hits. Focus on using that skill with a stonebarb cracked tear, alexander's shard and a talisman called "Two-handed sword talisman" which enchances attackes with two handed weapons (basically increasing your damage by 12% while twohanding).

Splicing and putting videos together takes quite a while and really can get annoying. So that’s probably a huge reason he doesn’t. Its obvious he doesn’t play only as long as the video since this gameplay takes place over an hour or more

When you get the chance, there is a talisman you can get in the Temple Town Ruins that is PERFECT for you, trust

So, a tip for telling if you will die from a drop. Toss a rainbow stone. if it explodes. You will die. Also "Savage lions claw"has less stance dmg and more dmg. Due to follow ups.
I finally beat all the bosses on this dlc, and I can happily say I loved every bit of the challenges, though some feel very unfair. Some will attack you the moment you step through that fog door which is pretty insane. From 0 to in your face in an instant.
I like how I took a break from this boss cause it was pissing me off and then I see the start of the video and get instant ptsd from how corny this fight was
This boss is just cancer and I thought the damn golden hippo was the worst one I have encountered in the DLC.

jev there's a talisman that increases 2 handed weapon damage by 15%, like the claw talisman but everything just gets the damage buff
Hey Jev, I don’t know if you’ll see this but I think you’d really benefit from the “Cragblade” ash of war. I noticed during most of the boss fight you didn’t really use the savage lion claw ash of war;which makes sense considering it’d leave you open to an attack. The cragblade ash of war simply buffs weapon damage by 15% and buffs stance damage by 10%. I think this would pair really well with your play style since you like to focus on jump attacks and stance breaks.
Only thing I could think of when seeing this boss for the first time was
"My name ... is GYOBU MATASAKA ONIWAAAA!!!"
No Commander Gaius is borderline the most difficult boss I have fought in this DLC. That charge attack is close to impossible to get the timing on
Jev try the Deflect crystal tear that is dropped by the first furnace golem in the beginning, deflecting is much powerful than rolling and it’s honestly a really fun way to play the dlc

The DLC is why I got Elden ring, just barley got the base game along with the dlc. Starting from ground 0 never played a souls game. Currently beat the first 2 main bosses and I’m fully addicted already. Got pissed plenty already too but my god man. This is such a rewarding feeling game, legit addicted

for anyone who's struggling to dodge the hitbox for gaius (especially the charge attack), there is a talisman that increases your i-frames when dodging. Made the fight much more bearable.

Gaius is an albenauric and a close friend to messmer even tho he is stripped from the grace. Albenaurics lose their ability to use their legs after a while. That’s why they ride wolfs and the greaves became useless
If you’re doing the stance-breaking jump attack playstyle the cragblade ash of war would be a great one

The hitboxes on gaius aren't broken people are just not aware that you have to dodge in a specific direction. Also in case your curious the reason you found his pants up near the shack is he's an Albinauric and his legs have withered away

The lore reason of why the pants to Giau is opptanded by that wolf lady @12:11, is because it sadly didn’t fitt him. (you can read it on the description to the pants)

If you go back to St Trina she has some dialogue after taking the nectar 3 times, then some more a few more times after that, I think 6 or 7 in total

I think Gaius's greaves were on that corpse because Gaius himself is an albanauric and doesn't have legs/legs don't work. So he doesn't exactly need pants so i guess he gave him to someone else? I don't know this is all speculation
Jev! Make sure to head over to the blue church to the right of the Shadow Keep and start the questline if you want to do stuff related to the Domain Expansion looking places on the map! The quest is rather easy but it is a must if you are wanting to complete your goal!

I think the only truly unlucky boss is the last one, since I’m scadutree blessing 19 and spirit ash blessing 10 and using a pretty op bleed build, but it’s still not enough to help me defeat him. There are not many chances to attack in 1st phase outside of punishable attacks, in which there aren’t that many, and in phase 2 the amount of openings drop to near zero, and all you’re able to do is dodge the relentless onslaught of attacks that don’t cease for a good while.
Just a tip Jev , use your dodge poke more often , it does pierce damage which on colossal sword is huge stance breaker, can’t describe how many times that cheeky stab saved me from getting murdered by staggering enemy
I know jev never will but imagine new game streams of him just playing thru this with different builds. Would be peak
You should try out the Great Katana if your looking for another fun and big weapon for a playthrough. It's in the lake near the Abandoned Ailing village next to the greatbridge, north Grace site. Also love the videos, can't wait to see the next one!

Hey Jev to get to the area to the right of the "backyard" you have to use a specific emote in front of the statue to the right of the grace before Gias, this emote can be collected from the far left of the Bonny Village from a body, I think its called "o mother" or something along those lines. its not exactly clear so id thought I leave a comment.
to get to the left side of the castle, from the storehouse site of grace, go left, go through the area (straightforward) and you'll reach that side of the map (no bosses on the way there)
Jev there is a talisman that increase heals per flask. That should help a ton
Btw jev there's a really good talisman literally built for strength builds like yours, it's called the Two handed sword talisman which increases damage to two handed weapons with 15% percent it's incredible and is located in the temple town ruins hope this helps😅
hey jev idk if you’ve found it yet but there’s an upgrade to the green turtle talisman. It’s in the water section north of the abandoned ailing village. in the water way down below. you can get to it by using the pillars to jump down from the temple town ruins
