Jev you need the two handed sword talisman, its at temple town ruins. It increases all attacks except ash of war with 15%

Jev there is a secret area with a remembrance boss that you can access within the castle. There is a hidden ladder by the flaming boats, once you go down it there’s a hidden wall by the painting. Hope this helps. that secret area is the scariest in the game

Crazy with the first try I beat him and it took me an hour with the backhand blades just pure dex very fun to learn that moveset. Favorite boss in the game
i used the same, was fun dancing around with him using blindspot! Keen backhand blades are really good

Elden Ring is the first souls type game I've ever played. 3 characters and about 800 hours later and it's still an amazing game.
@@Meechy5280Demon’s Souls is my first and I can’t wait to play Elden Ring just for the save points because I can’t with this one no more 😭 once you die, you have to start from the beginning of the level until you beat the boss to get to the next section.

Honestly hated the Golden Hippo half the time i couldnt see anything except inside its body
It was an ok fight but more annoying than fun. At least I felt satisfaction after beating it.
That was probably my favorite boss in the dlc so far that I've done. I'm not far in yet though. I used the Dryleaf Arts when fighting it.
The camera angles were truly my worst enemy on that boss

Hey Jev, ik you like staggering bosses so I thought I’d let you know, the enhanced lions claw has a longer startup time and considerably less stance dmg. So if you want to use it for stance dmg, I’d suggest swapping back to the normal version. ❤️
tbf, the savage lions claw does do considerably more total stance damage when all three attacks hit
@@agavesauce yea, it does do more total stance damage, but none of the bosses in the dlc are gonna let you land all three without at least taking a good chunk of your health
@@agavesauce No it doesn't, each hit with savage lions claw does 12 stance damage so a total of 36 assuming all hit compared to lion claw which does 36 on the one hit

The only problem with Messmer is that his health is so low. That's the only disappointing part. I wish it was higher.

Jev there’s a really cool colossal sword after castle ensis, if you are interested on the map look for a square to the left of moorth ruins.

Jev you should try the ancient meteoric ore Greatsword its one of my favorites already from the dlc and there's also a two headed turtle talisman which is way better then the original

i cant believe this is his first attempt without knowing anything about the boss. i see him move in such a way that youd have to know his attacks in order for that to make sense.

The best thing about this is there are top streamers with meta builds who have given up because “Its too hard” while Jev has the big sword go boom build and is powering through these bosses
its because the streamers actually take damage from these bosses.... scadutree fragments really help bro. it's definitely still impressive af he did it first try idk how he knew the timing of some of the attacks and knew that he was about to use a new attack

Considering how much he likes the Colossal sword moveset, Jev really could just go and get some of the new ones added into the dlc. They are pretty great
Messmer was such a cool boss that i actually sat there for about an hour not even attacking him, just trying to perfect his moveset, so that when i did beat him, it felt earned. One of the most satisfying choices i've made so far this DLC.

Holy shit Jev is a madman. First trying the boss everyone else has been stuck on is insane dude.
Jev to enter one of the green areas you are looking at in the mini map, you need to obtain the “o mother” gesture at bony village and then go to site of grace where you killed the general riding the rhino, to the right of it, there is a statue of Marika. You do the gesture/emote in front of it and a secret door will open for you to enter into a new area.
I believe there is 3 different entries to 3 different areas in the castle, is freaky as fuck.

Messmer felt really easy to me as well. I used a maxed out flamberge with giants hunt ash of war. Cant wait to fight him in ng+ where it'll be an actual challenge.

Jev if you want a really good colossal sword get the bloodfein. You can get it from the first grace west of the grace and not only does it do good damage you can also get bleed with savage lions slash. I’m telling you it’s so good it’s better then the rest of the colossal swords
